Upon arrival, I was asked to stand for ten to fifteen minutes before being shown to my table, despite the restaurant being visibly half-empty: a wait that was neither justified nor courteous. Once seated, a second wait ensued: another fifteen minutes just to receive the menu, as if the act of consulting it itself were a privilege to be earned. From then on, the ordering and the dishes arrived in relatively normal times, but by then we were beyond irritated and impatient. The food, unfortunately, offers no redemption. Unremarkable dishes, lacking personality and memory, portions that were small to the point of being symbolic, and prices that were frankly exorbitant for what was on offer. It's a place that invests heavily in aesthetics—decor designed to catch the eye and enhance the scene—but neglects what should be central: the quality of the cuisine and customer service. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend it to others either. Edit to the review after the restaurant's response: I'd like to clarify one point, as the response I received distorts what I wrote. The approximately thirty minutes cited were not part of a "slow and mindful" dining experience, but were spent solely on being seated and receiving the menu, in a place that was anything but crowded. Claiming these times as consistent with a "philosophy" seems inappropriate, to say the least: slowness, if chosen, is a value; if endured, it's simply inefficiency. I expect to be served in a respectable amount of time, after which I—not the restaurant—am free to decide whether to take a break, converse, or extend my stay. What made the wait even more unpleasant was the fact that, during that entire wait, no one bothered to ask if we'd like anything to drink, even just a glass of water. This isn't "taking your time," but a lack of customer service. I therefore reiterate my assessment: not a criticism of the calm, but of a service that attempts to gloss over its own shortcomings with a narrative that doesn't reflect the actual experience. Further update: I see the response has been edited, shifting the focus to my "tastes" based on other reviews. This is a minor observation: my assessment concerns specific events that occurred at your establishment, which I've described in detail. Blanking unjustified wait times and lack of customer service down to personal taste is a rather convenient way to avoid addressing the critical issues highlighted.

11/07/2026: This restaurant is a delightful gem in the Cosenza area, a place where you can find traditional local dishes expertly enriched with truffles, a delicious Angus fillet available in several variations (including a hamburger), all accompanied by Sila potatoes, and (when available locally) porcini mushroom dishes. We tried their black truffle fondue, sautéed porcini mushrooms, Angus fillet (strictly rare, although for local tastes 😭 they can also serve it well done) with arugula and parmesan, plus an Angus burger with egg and black truffle. Everything was truly delicious, a pleasant tasting experience. The wine list is also noteworthy, offering a selection of excellent Calabrian wines (but to stay within the Cosenza area, I recommend the "Don Onofrio" from Giraldi & Giraldi and the "Terraccia" from Serracavallo, which are a perfect pairing with the dishes on the menu), along with renowned labels from other regions. The quality/price ratio is excellent; you pay a fair price for the quality. Highly recommended.

16/06/2026: I always heard my Calabrian friends talking about this place, and when I visited, I confirmed everything they said about it! The food is spectacular; you can see the care they take in selecting the ingredients, preparing them, and presenting them. Everything was delicious! The owner was also super attentive, served us with great care, made suggestions, and we had a wonderful experience. I recommend it to everyone!!!

09/07/2026: This is a family-run restaurant nestled in the greenery of the Rende countryside. The rustic atmosphere is in keeping with its description, a nod to its origins and tradition. The highlight is undoubtedly the food and the ingredients, all locally sourced. Typical local cuisine, generous portions. During my last visit, we ordered the rich and varied mixed antipasto, and the mixed grill of meat and French fries. The prices are fair. The well-kept animal pen and chicken coop in the back are a lovely sight.

29/04/2026: We visited Tre Cipolle sul Comó for a dinner for two, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The restaurant is truly unique, with meticulous attention to detail and a welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. Upon arrival, the hostess greeted us with great kindness and attention, immediately putting us at ease. The dinner was accompanied by two glasses of Brenda red wine, an elegant and well-structured wine with smooth, enveloping notes that paired perfectly with all the dishes, enhancing their flavors without ever overpowering them. We began with two truly original and well-balanced appetizers: veal meatballs served with yellow date tomatoes and black olives, a surprising blend of sweet and savory; and a velvety hummus, enriched with a delicate red fruit powder and an infused oil that perfectly enhanced the flavor. For our first courses, we were impressed by the stroncatura with anchovies, sun-dried tomatoes, and green olives, a rich and bold dish, and by the tomato risotto with mozzarella cream and burnt lemon powder, truly creative, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The second courses were equally impressive: artichokes accompanied by béarnaise sauce, an elegant and sophisticated dish, and a gratinated onion soup with caciocavallo silano and toasted bread, warm, enveloping, and rich in flavor. Every dish was meticulously crafted, both in its presentation and in its flavorful interpretation. We highly recommend this culinary experience to anyone looking for something unique in a refined yet familiar setting. An added value worth highlighting is that the restaurant is also a purple dot: an important sign of attention, sensitivity, and social commitment to the safety and support of women. This aspect makes this place not only beautiful and delicious, but also meaningful. We'll definitely be back!
