An authentic osteria with a comfortable atmosphere, exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly staff, and top-quality food, showcasing the finest local produce. The wine list represents Calabria as best it can. A must-visit tapas bar just a few kilometers from the Mormanno highway exit.

On the way back from our skiing holiday, we decided to stop in Mormanno, a charming village, and we went to this restaurant for lunch. As soon as we entered, we immediately felt it was a welcoming place. The owner, very kind and friendly, described the products, all typical of the area. We chose several dishes and found them all delicious, high-quality, and with that extra touch that makes all the difference! Between the various courses, the owner continued to describe the location, the beautiful sights to visit, and the local characteristics, and this stop was a perfect blend of flavors and culture. For this reason, we highly recommend it!

Nice place to eat. In season, fresh truffles from the region. There is also pizza and local beers. I thought it was a bit cold inside, but it was winter.

A CUISINE WITH A IDENTITY
In the beautiful historic center of Mormanno, opposite the majestic baroque façade of the mother church of Santa Maria al Colle, lies the restaurant.
Traditions and wholesome food, using authentic ingredients typical of the Pollino region, characterize this historic establishment. Francesco and Catia love their work and carefully select their ingredients, often using local produce; a significant example was the Slow Food Presidium, which promoted the exquisite "Mormanno Lentil."
There were four of us. I really enjoyed the excellent "Pollino Antipasto," which was very rich; along with the aforementioned lentils, there was also local prosciutto and Capocollo, Pollino cheeses and ricotta, and much more... A special mention for the "Stewed Cod" with peppers, a true delight. To finish, a special house "Bocconotto" made with cocoa, walnuts, and figs, absolutely mouth-watering.
Conclusion:
EXCELLENT quality!
Not to be missed if you're in the Pollino National Park.

Today we were a group of 14 diners.
Catia and Francesco were, as always, impeccable.
We started with a rich Pollino appetizer, featuring rare cheeses, ricotta, and local cured meats (unavailable in stores), complemented by the typical "Mormanno Lentil."
This was followed by two first courses: the white "Cavatelli with walnut pesto" with porcini mushrooms, and the red "Rascatelli with ragù," both very popular.
Then came two second courses featuring suckling pig and homemade sausage.
All washed down with a robust house red wine...
To finish, we sweetened our palates with the excellent "Bocconotto."
The price was also fair.
Keep it up, Catia and Francesco!
