06/07/2025: One of the best dining experiences we have had. All aspects 5 star. Food, innovative, delicate, delicious, outstanding. Ambience/atmosphere, perfect. Wine list, exceptional. Service, perfect. We spent a lot on wine, but, one good bottle of wine and two courses for two would cost about 250 euros- worth it

28/06/2025: Food was ok but for a “nice restaurant” not worth the price. Service was lovely. We were sat outside as the restaurant was booked out - we inquired a week prior to book and was already this way apparently. The whole dinner felt a bit drawn out. I got bitten by mosquitoes.

09/04/2025: Con i miei amici gastronomi, abbiamo scelto la Locanda dell’Abate a Montescaglioso per un pranzo fuori porta. Siamo stati accolti con grande cordialità, e lo chef e titolare, il signor Giuseppe, ci ha guidati nella scelta dei vini per accompagnare l’esperienza. L’antipasto di mare ci ha conquistati con il tentacolo di polpo arrosto e le seppie cotte nel mezzo limone, sprigionando profumi delicati e un perfetto equilibrio tra tenerezza e acidità. Il legame con il territorio si è fatto sentire con la cipolla in agro. I ravioli di pesce, avvolti in una salsa di pomodoro leggermente acidula, hanno offerto un contrasto raffinato, mentre i gamberoni in crosta sono stati semplicemente eccellenti. L’atmosfera raccolta, grazie ai pochi tavoli in sala, ha reso la conversazione piacevole e conviviale. Concludiamo questa esperienza domenicale con un plauso allo chef Giuseppe per l’ottima organizzazione e la qualità delle portate. Torneremo presto!

02/07/2025: A true pearl of Lucanian cuisine! A gastronomic experience to remember! At Trattoria Sarricchio you are welcomed with a rare warmth and genuine kindness that makes you feel at home right away. The staff is attentive, helpful and smiling: an added value that makes the difference. But the real protagonist is the food, which tells the local tradition with an extraordinary quality. The seasonal vegetables are cooked with mastery, simple and tasty as in the best peasant tradition. The grilled scamorza is a masterpiece: crunchy on the outside, stringy on the inside, served hot and fragrant. The real love at first sight? The strascinati with breadcrumbs and Etruscan pepper: a typical first course of Lucanian tradition, executed to perfection. The rough pasta collects every crumb of the crunchy breadcrumbs, while the Etruscan pepper adds a touch of character and intensity. A dish that alone is worth the trip! I will definitely return, and I will recommend this trattoria to anyone who wants to savor the authentic soul of Basilicata.

02/06/2025: Very disappointing experience. I was served a dish I didn't order, the meat I asked for without scales arrived with scales, and the vegetables I ordered never arrived. As if that wasn't enough, a lady in a pink shirt came out of the kitchen and, instead of apologizing, insulted me in front of the other customers, saying she would offer me the bill as if I were "her brother". Who knows you? All accompanied by arrogant and out of place tones. Unacceptable and highly unprofessional behavior. I strongly advise against it.

07/07/2025: Recommended by friends, we went to dinner at this restaurant as a couple, we had two appetizers and two seafood risottos. Very poor appetizer as you can see from the photo, 3 marinated anchovies, 5 shrimp and some pieces of octopus (also quite hard) €16.00, decent risotto, 1/2 liter of low quality house wine €6.00, 1 natural water 0.75, 1 portion of fruit, all for the modest price of €81.50. As far as I'm concerned, an experience not to be repeated.

05/07/2025: When we went, the non pork option had broccoli and it was the worst pasta I've ever eaten. It's good that it's affordable but it's an unnecessary addition since they don't let you sit around.

30/06/2025: 📍This place is on the street where there are restaurants on the way to or from the Spanish Steps. I really don't understand why they exaggerate these pastas so much! My favorite thing in Rome was definitely Tiramisu, neither pizza nor pasta impressed me. I liked Neapolitan style pizzas more, for example. You can choose one of two types of pasta here, the portions are really filling. Since one of the options is with pork, you have to choose the vegetarian option, which is hard to eat thick and has a lot of pasta, potatoes, broccoli, etc. In short, you can eat it here if you want, of course, but I prefer sandwiches.

16/07/2025: Hold on tight, you're in the very essence of an agriturismo of excellence: a wine to delight, appetizers ranging from Forenza sausage to fresh ricotta, a nectar for the palate, everything is made on site, the handmade cavatelli with an incredible white lamb ragout, the fagioli to die for, the grilled lamb, it's lamb raised on site with a sweetness on the palate like no other. You can feel the passion of the owner and the chef, their love for this land that lulls the palate to a tasting orgasm. Thank you, my lords, for your passion. Back after two years of appetizers, first, second, third, fourth, five, all those who have on the table are exceptional for your pleasure, do not change nothing, my lord is a joy.

03/07/2025: Rustic environment typical of agritourism, beautiful and welcoming, very kind and helpful staff, the owner, Leo, treats customers in a very confidential way as if he had known you for a long time and this makes you feel truly at home ❣️ the chef is also very confidential 😉 every now and then you see him enter the room to ask the customer if everything is to their liking, very nice. Not to mention the dishes all very good and the appetizers never end 😅 for a complete lunch from appetizers to dessert you come out rolling 🫢🤣🤣 in conclusion we had a very good time and if we happen to be in those parts we will return Thanks
