29/03/2025: Yesterday for lunch, on the advice of dear friends, I had dinner with a colleague at Sobremesa - Grill & Restaurant in Potenza. The restaurant is located right next to a paid car park, a very convenient detail that avoids the stress of looking for a space. We chose a Lucanian triptych and a sliced ​​veal, both well prepared and tasty. The menu is simple but refined, perfect for those looking for a quick meal without sacrificing quality. The environment is informal and welcoming, ideal for a lunch break or dinner without too many formalities. The staff is friendly and helpful, helping to make the experience enjoyable. If you are in Potenza and want to enjoy good meat in a practical and well-located place, Sobremesa is certainly a valid option!

04/05/2025: This restaurant deserves a Michelin star just for the environment alone if that was possible. Well combine that with wonderful food and service and that could be a possibility. I won't go through our food selections (4 couples) but needless to say we all enjoyed our various courses.

01/05/2025: The food was really very good, but the service, especially the manager or head of the room, was very unfriendly from the beginning. We waited 1 hour between the first and the second and the manager, instead of apologizing, responded rudely to our request and made the absurd excuse that the restaurant was full and they only had one kitchen. Regrettable.

09/04/2025: Con i miei amici gastronomi, abbiamo scelto la Locanda dell’Abate a Montescaglioso per un pranzo fuori porta. Siamo stati accolti con grande cordialità, e lo chef e titolare, il signor Giuseppe, ci ha guidati nella scelta dei vini per accompagnare l’esperienza. L’antipasto di mare ci ha conquistati con il tentacolo di polpo arrosto e le seppie cotte nel mezzo limone, sprigionando profumi delicati e un perfetto equilibrio tra tenerezza e acidità. Il legame con il territorio si è fatto sentire con la cipolla in agro. I ravioli di pesce, avvolti in una salsa di pomodoro leggermente acidula, hanno offerto un contrasto raffinato, mentre i gamberoni in crosta sono stati semplicemente eccellenti. L’atmosfera raccolta, grazie ai pochi tavoli in sala, ha reso la conversazione piacevole e conviviale. Concludiamo questa esperienza domenicale con un plauso allo chef Giuseppe per l’ottima organizzazione e la qualità delle portate. Torneremo presto!

26/04/2025: Tutto perfetto! Cibo abbondante, delizioso, cucinato con amore, dagli antipasti al dolce, tutto fatto in casa. Super soddisfatti di aver provato il baccalà in tantissimi modi, con prodotti di qualità e genuini. Sono stati tutti molto gentili e accoglienti! Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Menu fisso che comprende tanti antipasti, primo, secondo, frutta di stagione, l’ottima crostata della nonna, liquore e caffè. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

01/03/2025: Dalla Puglia in Basilicata abbiamo avuto la fortuna di capitare in questo posto immerso nel verde, Locazione accogliente, piatti elaborati con semplicità , gusto e ottimo abbinamento con il tartufo. Il tutto accompagnato dal garbo e gentilezza dei proprietari.

25/02/2025: L’ abbiamo trovati sul web ed è stata una scoperta straordinaria. Posto accogliente romantico antico, proprio come piace a me. La cameriera è stata molto gentile e professionale. La cucina perfetta, nonostante abbiamo mangiato davvero tanto siamo tornati a casa senza alcun problema di digestione. Cosa da nn prendere sotto gamba visto che spesso nei locali dopo mangiato ci si sente male. La loro è davvero una cucina di qualità lo consiglio a tutti. Un solo appunto…. Prezzi un pochino alti

05/05/2025: Small but welcoming place overall. Kind, professional and friendly staff, they know how to pamper guests. The cuisine is truly a continuous surprise with its culinary journey starting from the starters, not entirely obvious, poached eggs with asparagus and speak, potatoes with peel, porcini mushrooms and fontina, bombettine, omelette flan with almonds etc etc pave the way for the subsequent surprises. Exceptional first course, scialatiello with cheese fondue, porcini mushrooms and truffle is a delicacy. To then get to the top of the range: the mixed roast... An explosion of flavours, cut cooked to perfection and very high quality meat, suckling pig in the oven, a delicacy. The wine and prosecco list, as well as the choice of beers, close the frame in a super way. Congratulations to all the staff.

18/05/2025: The real attraction is the beers, very good, unique and of all tastes, especially the IPAs. The sandwiches and hamburgers are average, while the starters are of poor quality. The service is friendly and youthful, although slow for the drinks. It's called a music pub, but the sound system of the place leaves much to be desired, at times poor. Instead, the maxi screens are on almost every wall: perfect! Good prices.

To find a flaw, the first room there is always a bit of smoke and you risk getting your clothes soaked in restaurant odor, better to eat in the second room. :-)

19/05/2025: After visiting the village of Savoia di Lucania and the Tuorno waterfalls, we trusted our instincts and had dinner at the “Salvia ranch”. Surrounded by greenery, it is a peculiar place because it hosts activities related to horse riding. The atmosphere is rustic and familiar, the service is impeccable and the menu is linked to the territory and typical dishes. The sign is nice, in the style of a Wild West saloon with a wooden table topped with bull horns, and the equestrian statue at the entrance. The cecatielli with cruschi peppers and toasted breadcrumbs are excellent; the pizza is tasty, generous in ingredients and crunchy; the grilled meat is well cooked.

30/03/2025: Yet another confirmation (after having come here several times) of good food and a family atmosphere, exquisite dishes that represent the culinary culture of the place in generous portions and rich in flavours.
