05/09/2025: While on vacation in Policoro, we dined at this restaurant. A well-kept restaurant with professional staff. The à la carte options are not predictable and certainly superior in quality to other experiences in the area. Prices are in line with the quality of the dishes.

12/06/2025: I have been going to Luciano's agriturismo for 13 years and I wouldn't change it for any other in the area. He and his family are good people, his wife makes excellent cakes...you eat well and home-made, the rooms are basic but clean and then you are surrounded by a fantastic view.

27/06/2025: 🍻 Nice pub, great experience! We were in the outside area, very pleasant to spend a quiet evening. Even inside the atmosphere is welcoming, but there aren't many seats - inside or outside - so it's best to book to avoid running out. 🍺 The beers are really good, with an interesting selection. 🍹 The cocktails are well made, simple but well-prepared. 🍽️ The food is excellent, with tasty and well-thought-out dishes. Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. A place where you feel good, perfect for an evening with friends. I'll be happy to come back!

02/04/2025: Mario is a wonderful person: kind, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. A white-collar worker who was stolen from Monte dei Paschi in Milan and, fortunately for us, returned to our beautiful South to work as a master brewer. Thank you, Mario, and thank you, Cantiere delle birre.

09/09/2025: A truly impressive location, but I don't think it's for everyone. I was really satisfied because I didn't have any great expectations; I just wanted a nice location. And you definitely get that; you're sitting right in the cave. But for people who expect something different, it's rather difficult and a surprising concept. There's no waiter; you order your food at the front counter and receive a device that beeps when the food is ready. You get your food and drinks yourself and are also responsible for clearing up. The food is also served on paper plates. I thought the food was really delicious; unfortunately, my father's steak wasn't quite as good, but you really can't expect much other than the location. I think if you know what to expect, it's a really nice restaurant with a good location, but if you're looking for something more fancy, it's not for you.

06/09/2025: A special and beautiful experience in a place located in a real cave, to be repeated in the historic center of Matera. The food is good and not served. The peculiarity is that there is no table service but you serve yourself at the counter when they call you. Everything is good, you can't help but come here to eat. Highly recommended.

06/06/2025: Very nice restaurant with good food and very friendly service. A very warm welcome from the kitchen, good Prosecco, and a fantastic dessert (caramel cocoa tart)! We'd be happy to go back! The waiter made a real effort to speak Italian slowly, so we were able to understand him well despite our holiday Italian. So much more pleasant than being spoken to in English despite having limited Italian skills :)

19/07/2025: Mozzarella, ricotta, caciocavallo, and so on...made right in the dairy. Excellent focaccia and many other local delicacies. I haven't tried everything, but I assure you, the ingredients are top-quality. A must-try if you're in Bernalda. Fairly priced.

I found among the staff a woman who was very little capable of giving advice on the basis of expressed tastes (an Aglianico Lucano is presumed to be Lucanian and not from Benevento) and very rude for no reason. The restaurant with its characteristic oriental name suggests that it is something completely different, but in reality it is neither meat nor fish. The very confusing table layout as well as the very narrow parking spaces behind the gazebo where it is easy to find damage (there is no camera to view in this regard). Salty bill and poorly eaten, adding insult to injury. I don't recommend it, I won't go back

02/09/2025: I didn't enjoy their focaccia this year due to gastritis. But for those who can, this bakery is a must-visit.

21/08/2025: Excellent artisan bakery that makes exceptional focaccia. The onion one is spectacular, with a nice filling. Friendly service and old-fashioned prices; the four of us spent about €10 for lunch, or €2.50 each. A great option for buying lunch and then heading to the beach.

02/09/2025: We dine at Morgan in Matera, or an extremely warm welcome was reserved, a careful team has advised and served. The quality of the meal was beyond our expectations, we spent a great time out of time, in a beautiful decor. Thank you to the whole team

15/07/2025: Beautiful place. We ate divinely and relaxed. They have plenty of parking and even a playground for the kids. I recommend the Sant'Agata appetizers and the ravioli with ricotta and lemon. I hope to return soon.

30/03/2025: Specifico che dalla mia ultima recensione, il locale ha cambiato gestione e molte cose sono decisamente peggiorate, ad eccezione della location. Il menù è rimasto a base di carne e pesce con la variazione della pizza solo il sabato sera. Al momento dell’ordinazione ci è stato sottolineato che il locale nel giro di 2 settimane avrebbe chiuso per ferie pertanto non tutte le portate del menù erano disponibili quindi il cameriere, gentilmente, ci ha suggerito anche i fuori menù proponendoci come antipasti delle polpettine di baccalà, invisibili, grandi poco più di un'oliva verde, euro 2, 50 al pezzo e piccole polpettine di melanzane, banalissime, con impasto frullato euro 1,50 al pezzo. Il colmo è stato l’arrivo della birra ordinata con data di scadenza Novembre 2024 (episodio già successo a dicembre 2024, pur non essendo prossimi alle ferie); naturalmente l’alternativa è ricaduta su una banalissima birra italiana da discount, in quanto essendo prossimi alla chiusura feriale (ribadisco 2 settimane) nel locale non c’era nessuna altra bottiglia di birra disponibile, resta ben inteso che nessuno del personale, titolare e chi che sia abbia minimamente chiesto scusa o mostrato un minimo segno di rammarico per l’accaduto. Dopo aver ordinato e atteso pazientemente i nostri piatti, ahimè ci siamo immediatamente resi conto che quelli a base di carne (tagliata) erano immangiabili poiché la carne era dura e non masticabile, allorché qualcuno ha preferito mandare indietro il piatto, sostituito con del pesce (salmone con verdure ottimo) a pagamento, ed anche qui scuse e quant’altro completamente assenti. Inutile dire che non ci è stato offerto neanche un bicchiere d’acqua o sconto, visto l’esito della cena, per di più il conto è stato incassato direttamente dallo chef (presente alla cassa) il quale non ha proferito nessuna parola di scusa… orripilante.

The carefully prepared meats, both for takeout and for dining in, are grilled and top-quality. The spacious interior and outdoor space accommodate large banquets. Highly recommended.

19/08/2025: Passing through Montescaglioso with friends, we stopped for dinner at this beautiful butcher's shop, which transforms into a grill in the evening. We sampled scottona beef, horse meat, and bombette (bombette) both regular and spicy, as well as Mexican. Homemade fries and a mouth-watering carpaccio with arugula, parmesan, and lemon. All washed down with beer and excellent local red wine. Everything was truly delicious and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and attentive to their customers' needs. We'll definitely be back.
