27/08/2025: The place may seem cold from the outside, but inside it's not at all...in fact...it's welcoming, relaxing, and makes you feel at home. The owner, Luca: kind, helpful, friendly, attentive, and above all knowledgeable. Fresh dishes, excellent menu. Friendly and courteous staff. Definitely worth returning, HIGHLY recommended. P.S. The brodetto must be booked at least one day in advance.

11/09/2025: All the trabocchi only offer set menus. €60/70/80 per person. Appetizer, first course, second course, dessert. I was with my nephew, a teenager who eats very little. I couldn't go. I was very disappointed. But are we sure this is the right way to do it? I didn't like it.

09/07/2025: Finalmente un gelato di qualità, ho potuto degustare il gelato di crema antica con babà e visciole superlativo! A differenza delle gelaterie classiche dove sono solo i colori a fare da padrone per invogliare le persone a scegliere, qui c’è ancora il vecchio carretto dei gelati , dove c’è solo la qualità a farla da padrone! Se passate ad Ortona questa è una tappa obbligata! Complimenti ancora !

28/06/2025: The best ice cream shop in Ortona and one of my favorites in general! I tried the pistachio, ricotta and scrucchiata and Petralia salt caramel with praline peanut flavors, all superb! Never tried such a creaminess and flavor! The Sicilian granita is out of this world!! Very honest prices! New flavors that I fell in love with: sweet pizza and yogurt 💖

08/09/2025: A good trattoria serving delicious traditional cuisine, especially the fish-based first courses, such as chitarrina, spaghettoni, and gnocchetti, the latter a bit smaller in portion than the others. Brodetto/guazzetto/zuppa is truly excellent, if served with pasta! The atmosphere is basic, like a trattoria; the only downside is the location. Friendly and helpful staff.

19/08/2025: I came back here after a very long time, and the only thing we all liked was... the bread on top of the mussels... The portions were tiny, and the raw food was almost nonexistent. But I was told the fried food was good (I don't eat fried food).

18/08/2025: I've been going to Stefano's for at least 20 years and have always had a good experience. Good food and fresh ingredients are the order of the day. However, since he changed locations, he's been trying to transform many of his dishes into "nouvelle cuisine." I've honestly been disappointed, especially with the appetizers. You can't serve such small portions that you can't even taste what you're eating (not to mention the price). That's the only flaw, so if you want good fish-based first courses and second courses, the quality is still low. I strongly recommend not ordering appetizers; you'll be disappointed. Prices are medium to high.

08/08/2025: This old-fashioned restaurant is definitely recommended. Excellent cuisine, with attention to both ingredients and detail. We ordered two first courses and a fried dish with broccoli rabe. To finish, we had crêpe suzette and tiramisu. Everything was delicious. Impeccable service. Truly friendly. We'll definitely be back.

04/08/2025: Review of Osteria del Castello – Ortona The first time we went to Osteria del Castello was on the recommendation of some friends: as always, recommendations are always a bit risky... but we were pleasantly surprised! We were a group of friends and colleagues, and the experience was excellent in every way. The service was impeccable, with friendly and helpful staff. The food was excellent, with authentic flavors and careful attention to detail. We were also impressed by the location, especially the outdoor space, truly pleasant for an al fresco dinner. We had such a great time that we will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

27/08/2025: An amazing and unforgettable experience! We live in Monza, came on vacation to Abruzzo, and a friend recommended this restaurant to us. The location is beautiful and elegant, housed in a former olive oil mill. The seafood and service are top-notch. We'll definitely be back to try the meat dishes. Highly recommended!

25/08/2025: We passed by there by chance and decided to stop for a bite, the appearance did not make us think of what we found inside... an 18th century farmhouse truly restored with art but even more so the preparation of the staff led by the head waiter Mr. Nicola who in addition to having brought us exceptional dishes also explained and described to us with art how to prepare the exceptional dishes... I have never eaten such good raw fish if you asked your eyes you could hear the sea... everything was GOOD and also the prepared and kind staff... a must try to be transported to another dimension.

01/09/2025: It's a wonderful discovery that deserves even more than five stars. Truly authentic dishes, smiles, and kindness in a warm and tastefully decorated environment. I tried the cacio e ove balls, excellent; I tried the fried farro pizza with lard, honey, and pine nuts, another specialty; followed by the ravioli with mushrooms and truffles and the chitarra with crispy bacon, each one better than the last. The flavors are distinct and perfectly complement each other, a harmony on the palate! Oh...the semifreddo...what can I say?!

25/08/2025: A lovely little restaurant in the Francavilla hills. The dishes are refined without being overdone. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and knowledgeable, as well as friendly and welcoming. The prices are in line with the quality of the offerings.

24/08/2025: I arrived at this restaurant without a reservation. Everyone in the dining room did their best to find a table for three. After a few phone calls, they finally managed to get us a table. The restaurant was practically fully booked, so ALWAYS call ahead. We were seated, and I ordered a truly excellent tartare. I order it at every restaurant to see how they serve raw meat, and it was truly excellent! Followed by a truly delicious first course, simple yet impressive. I highly recommend the place, and I recommend petting the gorgeous kitten who sometimes wanders around the tables—a true masterpiece! I'll definitely be back!

13/08/2025: I have family in Montazzoli, but I always stay and end up eating at La Collinetta. Although the bed is quite hard and the cleaning lady is quite noisy early in the morning, everything is very clean, and it's still very worthwhile. The owners are very hardworkers, super friendly and smiling all the time, and Chef Thommy is a genius in the abruzzese kitchen! We can't wait to go back ❤️
