12/10/2025: We went with some friends to eat snails and were really satisfied! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with water and bread at the table, and after ordering, we were served a generous appetizer of local cured meats and cheeses. Then came the stars of the evening: the snails. Cleaned to perfection, cooked impeccably, and offered in two variations—with peppers, and with egg and cheese. Generous portions and excellent flavor. They also offered us the option of trying the pasta with snail sauce: truly excellent! To conclude, an exceptional bite. The ladies in the dining room and the owner were kind and friendly: attentive service that made you feel welcome. I absolutely recommend this place for a pleasant evening, in a refined and familiar atmosphere, pampered by excellent cuisine.

02/09/2025: A delightful surprise! Booked during a short stay, delightful and welcoming place, like a fairytale, Mrs. Linda is ADORABLE! Everything, absolutely everything (EVEN THE BREAD) is prepared as if by her hands, delicious and authentic appetizers. My son Andres sends his warmest regards to Linda and Kira and says she has "the magic touch."

04/10/2025: A little hidden gem! This seafood restaurant truly won me over: a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere, with just a few tables, making for an intimate and relaxed experience. The quality of the fish is excellent: incredibly fresh, carefully cooked, and showcased in simple yet flavorful dishes. The menu isn't extensive, but each course is designed to showcase the flavors of the sea. The service is friendly. The value for money is more than fair, considering the high quality of the ingredients. Highly recommended for those seeking an authentic seafood experience, far from the touristy and trendy restaurants: here, only goodness matters!

28/09/2025: We stopped by on our way back from a trek and found the atmosphere truly delightful. The food was excellent, with fresh pasta made by them, as well as desserts. The service was friendly and attentive! I recommend it to anyone looking for a great atmosphere, authentic food, and a friendly atmosphere!

25/09/2025: Here's a review you might find useful We dined at La Foce and were thrilled. The first courses were exquisite: authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and meticulous preparation. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. The warm and relaxed atmosphere made the evening even more enjoyable. 13/10/2025: What can I say, where to begin... We arrive for lunch, although it was more of a kidnapping than a lunch. The table is medium-sized, and the first thing we ask is if they have vegan options. Otherwise, I would have easily looked for another place for myself and another person. I say yes, and so we all sit down. An eternity passes before anyone comes to ask if we want a drink; no menus are available. Another eternity passes before they come to ask us about appetizers, which we obviously couldn't choose since the menus were never brought to the table. I remind the waiter that I'm vegan, asking what the vegan options are, and the answer I get is "I DON'T KNOW, VEGETABLES," in a tone that's annoyed to say the least. The famous vegetables arrive: some tasteless grilled peppers and mediocre eggplants—these are the vegan options. Congratulations. Another eternity later, another waiter arrives (or maybe the owner, I don't know), asking us for our starters, again without having had a chance to consult the menu. Once again, I naively ask what I should choose, and he replies, "You have to tell me what you want," which I would have done if I'd only known what was on offer, but without a shred of a menu, it's hard to ask for anything. When I reiterate which foods I don't eat, he even rolls his eyes at me, astonished. We settle on pasta with porcini mushrooms, a mediocre dish like the rest of the dishes, which also left me feeling nauseous for the rest of the day, and perhaps it's best not to investigate the reasons. The other diners fared better, but they too were offered samples of three starters, but only two of them arrived. When some asked for second courses, the initial response was "we have meat," further information was provided upon prompting, shocking. Now I wonder how it's possible, in 2025, to approach customers like this. I've rarely seen such ignorance and rudeness from someone offering a service, or at least supposedly so. Not to mention that all it would have taken was for them to immediately say, "No, they don't have vegan options," and I would have saved myself an absurd amount of money for dishes that should shame the people who prepared them, and you for having a clearly unwelcome customer at your establishment.

07/09/2025: Far from the quality it once was; they only cater to passing tourists, of whom there is no shortage. The air conditioning has been out of order for two days and there was no notice when booking. The pan of mussels and clams wasn't worth the price (€18). The octopus was overcooked. The fried food didn't contain what was ordered (red mullet and cod), but only four anchovies and the calamari were soft and therefore probably frozen. Prices were out of context.

14/10/2025: Parco dei Mulini has been a trusted favorite for several years now. I've been here often, even on different occasions (in the summer, the kiosk is open, you can eat outside in the heavenly temperatures, and the live music evenings are fantastic!). In the winter, they host indoor evenings, and the menus change based on events (the pizzas, in particular, are updated frequently!). Top quality in everything, from beers to main courses, all the way to dessert (made by the fantastic staff), and the pizzas are unparalleled: the best pizzas in the Ortona area and the surrounding area, even though we're in Crecchio. Generous portions and affordable prices. The owner is super. The place is beautiful, surrounded by the greenery of a charming former mill, and it's not uncommon to spot a few animals!

24/09/2025: Always happy to book. Relaxing place, even if it's always busy. The food, both meat and pizza, is always excellent. The beers are also good, with a wide selection. Good value for money.

15/10/2025: A delightful discovery! We stumbled upon this restaurant last Saturday, eight adults plus a child, without a reservation. It was still early, but the place was already starting to fill up. Despite this, the owner—a truly friendly, but above all knowledgeable and passionate person—went to work without hesitation, moving tables and chairs to accommodate us in the best possible way. His welcome struck us right away! The restaurant has a homey, warm, and authentic atmosphere, which is also reflected in the dishes. The traditional menu was exquisite: from the appetizer to the arrosticini, one of the best I've ever eaten in Pescara, including the tender and fresh sliced ​​heifer steak, perfectly cooked, accompanied by authentically flavored vegetables and another highlight: homemade chips! The service was impeccable, attentive, and friendly, and every course arrived on time. The desserts deserve a special mention: all delicious, but the deconstructed tiramisu truly won everyone over, with its original presentation and irresistible flavor. 14/10/2025: Came across this quaint restaurant accidentally while randomly searching for a restaurant. Food was delicious and felt like we were at home eating a home made meal. Restauranter was very hospitable and spoke English well, bonus for us Aussies. Highly recommend the Tiramisu made with grandmas Saviordi's.

A differenza delle gelaterie classiche dove sono solo i colori a fare da padrone per invogliare le persone a scegliere, qui c’è ancora il vecchio carretto dei gelati , dove c’è solo la qualità a farla da padrone! Se passate ad Ortona questa è una tappa obbligata! Complimenti ancora !

28/06/2025: The best ice cream shop in Ortona and one of my favorites in general! I tried the pistachio, ricotta and scrucchiata and Petralia salt caramel with praline peanut flavors, all superb! Never tried such a creaminess and flavor! The Sicilian granita is out of this world!! Very honest prices! New flavors that I fell in love with: sweet pizza and yogurt 💖
