22/09/2025: A quiet hotel in an excellent panoramic location overlooking the Civetta and Moiazza mountains. Excellent cuisine with a decent selection of dishes. Super friendly and helpful staff. The building is a bit dated, but they're planning a renovation by 2025. The price is reasonable.

01/09/2025: The space is truly spacious. Inside, there are pool tables, foosball tables, darts, and many concerts by various cover bands. Highly recommended!

08/07/2025: A very informal place, you might not like it, but I do. There are many games: darts, foosball, several American-style billiard tables, and a few Gorizia-style ones. Large screens are available for watching major sporting events in company. It's a bit noisy at times... Good pizza, good beer (you finally drink it in 1/2-liter glasses), fair prices. I enjoy this place every time I come. After the sudden death of Gianni, the owner, the place closed for renovations and is currently run by Edy (his wife) and Katya (his daughter). The style has remained the same, the food selection has been improved (without price increases), the decor has been more refined, and the range of games has been expanded. In short, I confirm my initial assessments: if you get into the spirit of this very special place, you'll always come back. At least that's true for me and the friends I usually come here with. I went back yesterday (May 13, 2025) and the way they make the pizza has changed: it's now taller and softer, and I think it's much improved. The oil they add is incredibly high-quality. They also have an IPA beer (Moretti). In short...ever better.

06/09/2025: Unfortunately, three years after my last visit and excellent review, I've had to change my mind. We came for lunch on a Saturday without a reservation. Maybe it was a mistake, but it doesn't justify waiting 45 minutes for a plate of gnocchi, shared between two people, and receiving the side dish before the main course (which we waited over half an hour for). Not to mention the dessert, which we waited another twenty minutes, only to be told, in response to our legitimate complaint, that it was in the oven and would take time. Strange, because the same dessert arrived at the next table well before us, even though people had arrived after us. Sorry. It must have been a busy day, but it can't be the customer's problem. We'll find other places in the area.

07/09/2025: We stopped for lunch; it was me, my wife, and two dogs, a mixed breed and an Akita. The staff was very friendly and had no problem with our little ones. A beautiful place in a lovely setting near the Zoncolan cable car. The food was excellent, with plenty of carefully prepared, delicious dishes. Definitely an experience to repeat.

01/10/2025: ON OUR RETURN TO MARATEA WE CONTACTED THE ESTABLISHMENT AT 2.25 PM AT THE PONTECORVO EXIT ASKING IF IT WAS STILL POSSIBLE TO EAT GIVEN THE SCHEDULED CLOSING TIME AT 3.00 PM, THE COURTEOUS OWNER WAITED FOR OUR ARRIVAL AND DELIGHTED US WITH CLASSIC FIRST COURSES OF ROMAN CUISINE, CARBONARA, MATRICIANA AND A MUST-HAVE RAGÙ, BEEF CUTLETS WITH VERY SOFT MEAT AND FRESHLY CUT AND FRIED CHIPS A BOTTLE OF WATER ACTUALLY AND A HALF MINERAL SMOOTH AT A WONDERFUL PRICE OF 28 EUROS, WHAT CAN I SAY? I WILL TRY TO RETURN AS SOON AS WE ARE BACK THERE AGAIN

23/09/2025: Welcoming place, simple and authentic dishes. Super fair prices. Truly reminiscent of the trattorias of yesteryear. The extremely kind waiter pampered us from start to finish, always accommodating our every request with a smile. Highly recommended! Especially if you look at the essence and not the appearance.

11/10/2025: Truly a splendid place, a Friulian inn-style, completely made of stone, elegantly furnished with excellent cuisine, a wide selection of wines, and FANTASTIC service. They also offer parking and rooms. I go there every time I'm in Friuli and I'm always extremely satisfied. The icing on the cake is Mrs. Tiziana (the dining room manager), who practically pampers and spoils all her guests. Highly, highly recommended.

28/09/2025: Beautiful place, as is the outdoor terrace, where you can enjoy delicious dishes while relaxing in good company and admiring the Livenza River. The pizzas are truly excellent, and we found them very easy to digest, despite being quite rich in ingredients. Nothing to complain about the service: very friendly and helpful staff. It's always a pleasure to come here. Highly recommended!

Today I returned here after a long time and I was pleased, also because I appreciated a novelty in the internal structure with which a previous critical issue was resolved, furthermore this bar is a stone's throw from some very beautiful karst paths which I was walking along today too. Therefore I give it a 5 star rating.
