11/08/2025: We arrived at Joia on the recommendation of our booking host. The waitresses welcomed us very kindly and made sure the dishes were to our liking. As for the food, my boyfriend and I shared mussel soup, fusilli with pistachio pesto and tuna tartare, and roasted octopus. The presentation of the dishes was very pleasant, but the quality was average. The value for money was a bit too high for the quality of the food and the location.

11/08/2025: A restaurant overlooking the port of Trieste with modern decor. The music selection on the day we were there was very pleasant. The service was both friendly and professional. The menu clearly and logically focuses on fish. The dishes we ordered were all delicious: quality products, very well prepared and cooked. The price-performance ratio is excellent. Absolutely recommended.

26/07/2025: The place is very large and often noisy. There's no option to get water larger than 0.5L for €2. The signature dish is the chicken, pictured. For €14, they could have made a bit more effort with the side dishes, lousy fries, and the "slice of toast" is a very sad little slice of supermarket sandwich bread, cold, and still smelling of preserved alcohol... It wouldn't take much to be a little more generous with the bread, and it would certainly make a better impression. Update after reply: That's not true, it's actually sandwich bread. I'm downgrading it to one star for the bad-faith response.

11/07/2025: Slow service, they forgot our orders, they brought us some wrong items. But all in all, it's okay, maybe because it was so crowded, who knows.

31/07/2025: Another place we chose at random during the holidays; they welcomed us without a reservation. I think I ate the biggest veggie burger ever, and it was truly delicious. The only drawbacks were the wait times and the lack of a written beer list: by the third beer listed, I was already lost and couldn't compare the various options. In any case, highly recommended, a classic village pub where you can truly experience the place and not just the touristy side.

19/07/2025: C'è Chi C'ha Pub Review Last night, we visited the "C'è Chi C'ha" pub for the first time, following a recommendation from an acquaintance who had recommended it for its excellent food. And I have to say, there's absolutely nothing to complain about: the sandwiches were really good. Unfortunately, the overall experience was marred by the disappointing service, to say the least. As soon as we arrived, before we even sat down, we were asked what we wanted to drink. With no beer menu available, we made our selections, thinking the drinks would arrive shortly. Instead, after about ten minutes, a waitress came to ask for our food orders, but there was no sign of any drinks. We ordered, and despite the few tables occupied, the beer arrived only a few minutes before the food. As we were finishing our fries, a waitress came by to clear our plates just as we were finishing the last of the fries. The real problem arose when we waited to order dessert and coffee. After about twenty minutes with no waitresses approaching our table, and with another scheduled appointment that was putting us in a hurry, we had to call them ourselves. We ordered a single coffee, but after a quarter of an hour, with the two waitresses busy chatting among the regulars about past events, the coffee never arrived. At that point, we decided to get up and ask for the bill, only to discover, with disappointment, that we had been charged for the coffee we hadn't drunk. In conclusion, the sandwiches were excellent, but the service was terrible, and we never received the coffee we had ordered (and paid for!). We won't be returning. A piece of advice for the restaurant: pay more attention to new customers who might return, and spend less time chatting among your regulars and more time focusing on the service.

10/07/2025: From the moment we arrived, the staff was exceptionally rude, unfriendly, and completely lacked basic manners. Their behavior made us feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable that we ultimately decided to leave before even ordering any food. We've never encountered such unprofessionalism in a restaurant, and it completely ruined our evening. We will not be returning and strongly advise others to consider dining elsewhere.😤😤😤

10/05/2025: Tremendo. Potessi gli darei 0 stelle. Prezzi super gonfiati per delle pietanze che di qualità potevo ricercare al supermercato . Non sto scherzando. Un'insalata dell' Lidl buttata dentro una ciotola direttamente dalla busta: non condita, con appena un po' di frutta secca. Buoni i gamberetti, ma seriamente 5 di numero x 15 euro? Per non parlare della paella. Mai neppure vista. Appena sedute (siamo arrivate alle 19:10), ci dicono che avremmo dovuto aspettare mezz'ora. E va bene. Aspettiamo aspettiamo e aspettiamo, e alle 20:30, chiediamo della pietanza per due e ci dicono che bisogna aspettare un'altra mezz'ora/40 Min. E il locale era pure semi vuoto. Ora capisco il perché. Ci siamo alzate e siamo andate via. Mai più.

26/04/2025: Very welcoming place in the historic center of Trieste. I opted for the Valencian paella accompanied by sangria. Excellent choice of products.

19/06/2025: Con: Room 220 being alone next to the elevators is extremely nosy unfortunately. You can hear drunk people coming back to their rooms at 2am shouting. Maybe it should be sound proofed, at least that one room that is isolated from the others. Maybe some more amenities in the bathroom would be appreciated. Pro: Employees were super nice and caring. Breakfast was great and full of fresh food.

18/05/2025: A large and modern city hotel that, fortunately, offers much more than its exterior facade suggests. I had a large room at the end of the long corridors, so it was really quiet at night—even though the rooms are very noisy. Excellent and plentiful breakfast, very friendly staff at the reception.

26/07/2025: Excellent pizza in the middle of Polcenigo. The staff spoke perfect English, nice and friendly. We have been here twice. I recommend the round pizza Bufarola. (Not on the menu) The pizza dough is absolutely brilliant!!!! And the homemade fries.♥️

06/07/2025: We were lucky to stay nearby and deciding to try the Vecchio Caffe' on a rainy evening. The pizza was a surprise, thick but airy, filling yet light. The aperitivo, based on locally distilled essences, also worth experiencing. Staff friendly and helpful. Highly reccommend if visiting the area.

09/08/2025: At a certain point, they stopped answering the phone. I was waiting for confirmation of my pizza, but nothing, I was left without it. This shows a truly lack of professionalism and customer service... a shame, since my friends had opted for another pizzeria, but I really wanted to try this one. Good to know for the future, though: both I and they will avoid it!

30/07/2025: I ordered 4 pizza’s from this place, it said they would arrive around 20:15, so i was already waiting outside for them, after 20 minutes nothing, i called and they told me to wait another 20 minutes, so i did, after another 30-40 minutes i called again and they told me they were at the adress and waited 10 minutes for me, which is also false because i was waiting outside the entire time. then they said that they wouldnt come anymore and i had to get my money back by calling the delivery company while they do the orders themselves so i can dream about my money. Bad place, Only order Here if you like wasting money !!!
