25/08/2025: I’d saved this place for ages because the photos looked amazing, the reviews were glowing, and the low prices made it even more tempting. When I finally went, I couldn’t help but wonder if there’d been some changes… or if there was a hidden menu I didn’t spot… or maybe I just picked the wrong pizzas. The “fancy” toppings I’d seen in pictures didn’t really show up on my visit. That said, the dough and crust were genuinely very good, the cheese was spot on, and the prices are hard to beat. So while it wasn’t quite the experience I was expecting, it was still a solid pizza for the money.

13/10/2025: "Leave your dog in the car": unacceptable in 2025. We arrived at this restaurant for lunch with our small, calm dog, accustomed to public places. We were told that dogs were not allowed, so as not to disturb any customers who didn't like animals. To make matters worse, we were offered to leave him in the car. I find this response grossly irresponsible, as well as unacceptable for anyone who cares about animal welfare. In 2025, it's absurd that there are still such closed-off and insensitive places. We obviously left. Not recommended for anyone traveling with animals or with even a modicum of empathy.

07/09/2025: Beautiful, relaxing, and peaceful location. We dined outside under the portico for a Sunday lunch that gave us a taste of something different from our daily routine. Excellent food, generous portions, and expertly prepared. The service deserves special mention: punctual, precise, and friendly, with a dedication to explaining the dishes and the various cuts of venison. Highly recommended! 16/08/2025: The restaurant is centrally located in a pedestrian zone and offers delicious food at reasonable prices. The service is fast, friendly, and they make every effort to communicate with guests in English. As a tourist, I felt very comfortable here and would like to thank them for the excellent food. I particularly recommend the pizza Diavola and the pasta dishes, which were very delicious. I had tiramisu for the first time, and I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the pizza carbonara the day before, but others in the group did, and as you know, tastes differ – all the other dishes, however, were excellent.

24/07/2025: Good pizzas and delicious cuisine. Comfortable atmosphere. Tables are well-spaced. Now also offering excellent artisanal gelato from Gelateria Arnoldo. In the warmer months, there are plenty of outdoor tables shaded by centuries-old trees in a pedestrian area with plenty of space. A lovely children's play area is just 50 meters away. Also open in the morning as a bar.

08/09/2025: I accompanied a group of cyclists (15) and a quick phone call was all it took, and they immediately understood our needs. They prepared a table for us with the bikes parked in the beautiful garden on display. The menu was perfect for those who need to regain strength and not weigh down. What can I say? A more than positive experience! They were very kind and accommodating to any special needs, and they were knowledgeable! 👏👏👏

05/08/2025: The atmosphere might be a bit lacking, but the hospitality and delicious food, plus the fact that it's really affordable, make a visit here a pleasant experience. I definitely recommend eating here.

07/08/2025: Neither the taste nor the price are old-fashioned. An embarrassingly large cup, quite ridiculous. Paid €1.90, it tasted questionable, and contained hard ice cubes. If I could post a photo of the cup, I would. It's hilarious.

14/08/2025: I have known Verdi, Coline, and Cesco for a lifetime and I have eaten there several times, the paieia, which was delicious, and the pizza, everything was good, and the staff was impeccable. I recommend anyone who is in the area to stop by.

23/07/2025: I always come here for a coffee break, a sweet treat, or an ice cream, with my office across the street. I've been very lucky to have such a great pastry shop across the street. Believe me, being the daughter of baristas with parents who are very picky about quality, I'm very critical of what I eat. And here, everything is artisanal and excellent!

13/07/2025: Breakfast was definitely below expectations. In a place that calls itself a "pastry shop," I expected much more than a clearly defrosted brioche. While I was there, a woman purchased some bread, and I noticed the clerk checking a series of sheets to check for allergens. This detail—combined with the overall impression—made me think that even the bread isn't made on-site. Perhaps the mini pastries I didn't try are worth it—who knows—if I were to return, I might give them a chance. But for breakfast, unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

04/09/2025: The freakish camping I have ever been to. Avoid if possible! I have email them to book places for 2 tents, no answer. I have called with 2 months in advance of arrival and the answer was "for the 1st of September for 2 tents you don't need any reservation, just come here". And yet, when we arrived the guy taking care of accommodation said we needed at reservation.....and it was 19:00. Somehow he wanted to look like he was doing us a big, big favor and he shoved us a place (gravel+mud) where we could camp. It was a place for only one car and a tent and he charged us for 2 tents. Probably he doesn't know his own camping site or he was ill-intended as we discovered that there were plenty of free spots later. We asked him to do the formalities faster since we wanted to catch the 20:04 tram 2, but he kept on smiling and moving like a replay....We stayed just for one night since we were treated like this. The only good take-away is the view from the parking or the top spot of the camping, but you could have that from the Obelisco di Trieste itself. Anyway, the guy is a freak, better avoid!
