25/06/2025: If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. The service was beyond awful: disorganized waitstaff, painfully slow, and completely wrong orders. Dishes arrived 30 minutes apart, forcing half the table to either eat alone or let their food go cold out of politeness. Some meals never even showed up, while others were delivered to the wrong tables. We asked politely for explanations and were met with indifference, as if we were the problem. No apology, no accountability, no care whatsoever for the customer experience. What was supposed to be a pleasant dinner turned into a stress test. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. There are plenty of better places—don’t waste your time (or money) here.

27/05/2025: I had been to this restaurant many years ago when it was only à la carte and I decided to try it again out of curiosity since I didn't remember how the food was. The environment is very nice and well kept. The staff is very kind, welcoming and helpful. The food unfortunately is below average and there is very little that is good. The quality of the fish can be immediately understood from the sashimi. It should have a different color and a different cut to be considered good. I personally only liked the gunkan with philadelphia, the green tiger uramaki and the bao with chicken. They have very particular uramaki compared to other Ayce and this diversity would be nice if it weren't for the combinations of flavors that are not right with each other and many urakami are nauseating such as the uramaki pulled pork. The dessert, on the other hand, cheered me up. The fried ravioli with raspberry sauce and crumble are highly recommended, really really delicious, I give 3 stars for them.

06/10/2024: We arrived at this restaurant a little "desperate" because the two restaurants nearby that we wanted to try were full and having a hungry little child there was no time to look elsewhere. The waitress who welcomed us was very kind but, unfortunately, this alone cannot make up for the rest of the evening. At the table we were not given a menu but it was read to us by the waitress which, in my opinion, causes more than one problem 1. I can't take a few minutes to calmly choose what to have, having a clear idea of ​​what the menu includes, without having to ask the waitress several times "wait, what was the second first course you said?" 2. I have no visibility of the prices of the dishes I am ordering and I find this very incorrect 3. if you also add that the waitress is foreign, the result is that you are also embarrassed to say to her "as an excuse? What did you say?" more than twice, so you give up on understanding half the menu and then go home wondering "but what were the tagliatelle with chicken in the end?". Having overcome this initial obstacle we ordered and what arrived were some tagliolini with San Daniele (with what looked like cream) which were very dry, a frico with polenta which looked more like a piece of melted cheese, some chips which were certainly fried in still cold oil, so they just tasted of oil, and the entrana with potatoes, described as a succulent cut that can be eaten with the preferred cooking method (which in my case is rare) and instead two whole slices of meat arrived at the table on top of the valerian salad which gave a lot the idea of ​​two shoe soles thrown on top of the salad, with the cooking decidedly NOT rare. It must be said that there was nothing left on the plates because we were hungry, so I'm not saying that everything was inedible. I also don't like it when at the end of the evening the waitress asks "did you eat well? Was the meat good?" answer "NO" because in any case there are people who work behind it, who may have had a bad day etc and in the heat of the moment I may not be so diplomatic, so I prefer to say that everything went well, pay the bill and leave knowing that I will never set foot again in that restaurant... This is why I don't really like to review a place negatively, I prefer to review things that have particularly impressed me in a positive way.. But in this case I decided to leave a review because, in addition to everything that went wrong, I discovered (only after the receipt was issued) that I had paid 22 euros for those two shoe soles and it particularly annoyed me! Looking back we could guess how the evening would go from the fact that the restaurants around were full and this one only had our table occupied...

07/06/2025: Bare furnishings and set-up. Staff a bit "cooked" and rather uncouth on the day of full house (a bit of a long wait to be served) when I happened to be there, but still nice (apart from a frank roughness of the lagooners that some might not like and that doesn't bother me). Despite this, in my opinion they deserve the overall rating because the food was good (mixed hot and cold appetizers very good and plentiful, calamari and cuttlefish ok even if not local) prepared with moderation in salt and pepper, it seems a bit like "homemade" cooking and certainly not refined but simple and effective. Honest prices and house wine.

20/06/2025: Do you want to eat really bad food and have a really bad experience? Yes, then you have to come to Trattoria da Gino. Warm white wine. Smelly fish (rotten?). The Milanese without salt. They bring you the food cold. You have to wait almost an hour to eat. The service is terrible. A Milanese without salt costs €15, a cold grilled mixed fish dish €24, a warm house white wine €16, a cold, smelly grilled fish €25, a fusilli with Bolognese sauce was not available, but it was on the menu. The cover costs €2.50, and a half-liter of sparkling water is €3.50... a rip-off no matter how you look at it. Dear people, do not come to this place! They don't know how to cook, and they don't know how to serve.

20/06/2025: Our last evening at Mare Pineta, we wanted to go close and to try out Trattoria da Gino and got a huge deception. We ordered mussels as antipasti and got it together with all the other plates. Mussels arrived cold and with a strong unpleasant fishy smell. We also had mixed fish grill, a branzino fish and milanesa with pommes. All the plates were missing the taste, spices and salt. Throughout the eating nobody came to ask if everything was all right. We looked ourselves for salt, to make the plates eatable. We tried to eat and to enjoy it, but there was actually no way. Also, we wanted to order fussili with ragu for the children, but the waitress told us, there is no fussili anymore. We asked for linguine or spaghetti, she said, sorry, there is no pasta at all. Very strange. The neighbour tables had linguine brought to the table, so how come we couldn't get no pasta for children and hat to order untasty milanesa with pommes. All together we paid 93 euros (mussels got of the invoice), but still lot to pay, for no taste at all. The one good thing though is the nice garden and all the playground for the children. That was nice, but only this. What a bad memory for the last evening here in Sistiana.

02/05/2025: Il posto è molto carino il cibo è molto buono ! Unica cosa che avevamo chiesto la carsolina ci è stato detto che era finita !! Dopo qualche ora la carsolina è apparsa su altri tavoli!

15/05/2025: The place looks good inside, even if some aspects could be improved to make it even better; the outside part of the tables seems dedicated to the bar part. The menu is quite limited in terms of the number of options available: we chose two identical first courses, a second course and an appetizer. The quantities are not exactly abundant and the quality is not excellent, with several technical errors. We were lucky to enter almost first but those who arrived shortly after, had not even started when we had finished: service to be reviewed! I would not recommend it even if the girls were very kind anyway.

18/06/2025: Over the years I have been to many places, but seeing that there are places still open despite certain owners still surprises me. Rudeness at the highest levels, it's fine for them that they have a school in front otherwise it would be deserted with certain attitudes. To be avoided until management changes. Two stars instead of one for the employees, who have nothing to do with it and I pity them.

15/12/2024: Primo compleanno di mia figlia, 70 invitati, ho fatto una bellissima figura con i miei ospiti! Mattia ed il suo staff ci hanno davvero trattato con i guanti, ci hanno fatto sentire a casa e coccolati! I complimenti a tutto il personale: son stati tutti gentilissimi e disponibili!!! Superlativa la presentazione del buffet ed i sapori!!! Promosso a pieni voti!!!
