08/07/2025: How wonderful to find small, sincere, no-frills places like this! Prices are displayed at the entrance, but the best part is that they briefly explain the menu, as it used to be, and then guide you through an experiential, family-style dinner. We obviously ordered the cured meats and Piacenza tortelli con la coda. We also couldn't resist a plate of pisarei and a few glasses of Bargnolino. The tablecloth was bronze-colored damask. Gorgeous! Prices are average.

Maybe I had too high expectations... ♦️Service: We waited 1 HOUR AND A HALF for the appetizer and then another 40 minutes for two second courses, among other things one raw and one only to be sliced...... Friendly but hasty waiter, not even an explanation for dishes and wine. ♦️Food: Let's start with the wine, in my life I have never seen such poor wine served by the glass! We thought the first glass was an oversight by the waiter who in his rush had put too little but when the second glass arrived with the same amount of wine we understood that their dose is that... Having said that, the wine served was little, but very good. Lard croutons which were basically cold dry bread and the lard too thick and hard. Raw shoulder and warm focaccia are good. Raw Fassona meat with a lot of salt and pepper and a drop of mustard.... Fassona carpaccio completely COOKED!! ♦️Environment Very cute but too dark. ⛔Sorry... We love tasting wine but we won't be returning here. I hope for them it was simply a bad evening...

25/03/2025: After going in for the first time, I understand why it is considered by many to be the best pastry shop in Piacenza. There is a huge and varied quantity of many different mignon, from the classics to the more particular ones that cannot be found everywhere. But not only is the choice very wide, they are also all fresh and delicious. Or almost: only the babà for me is a complete fail, since the rum had not been previously diluted or even sweetened, before wetting the leavened dough. In short, the equivalent of a healthy shot. But apart from this lapse in style, everything else was extremely good. I especially compliment the pistachio and zabaglione, quality creams. It is also the first pastry shop in Piacenza where I noticed single portions of modern cakes. I will definitely return even just to find out if they please the palate as much as the eyes of those who observe. The croissants also surprised me positively, because the dough and the puff pastry are very reminiscent of the croissants I find in Calabria, in Cosenza and Rende to be precise. Even if completely involuntary, I really appreciated the possibility of making this association with places I am particularly fond of. Although the level of this pastry shop is quite high, however, I cannot understand the cost per kg of the mignon. I understand that all the raw materials have increased prices nowadays, and I also understand that it is a place located on one of the main streets of Piacenza, but this is not enough to justify such exorbitant prices. In any case, it has too many positive elements to make me think of giving it less than five stars; personally, I think they are deserved anyway. The ladies of the staff are very kind.

05/06/2025: I'm changing this to answer you because I'm staying polite and not leaving another 1-star review. Reviews are a very useful tool, and it's convenient to expect everyone to tell you everything in person so you don't make a bad impression publicly, but it's fair that those of us who are celebrating an important occasion like our 30th birthday and the reveal of our child's gender decide whether or not we want to be a waiter all day before coming to your establishment. We didn't stop to argue there out of respect for the other guests present and because after 3 hours of serving ourselves we didn't want to have to argue since the topic didn't even come up for you. You can also be happy that there are only 3 reviews because the other 18 people present all complained about what I reported objectively and politely, so much so that they felt obliged to also divide the money that we ended up paying. We spoke by message, always finding hasty answers and kindly asking to answer the questions I asked, when you communicate that you are bringing desserts at the end of May I think it is the restaurateur's duty to verify what desserts they are but here we understood that "autonomy" reigns supreme. Of course - as I indicated - the solution was found, but the desserts were inevitably warm and half melted. When "autonomy" means making the guests become your own waiters who travel the kilometers back and forth for the entire duration of the event perhaps it should be specified beforehand, precisely because the picnic area is 300 meters away, uphill and under the sun. "You only brought the cake and left", very kind, if I had not brought the cake by revealing myself you would have seen us perhaps only at the time of the self-service because no one came to welcome us, no one showed us where the area dedicated to the picnic was and no one told us how we should have organized ourselves to proceed with the baskets. But perhaps even here in the name of autonomy it is up to the customer to ask the restaurant owner if and when they will receive their meal. I am pleased that someone found hospitality, family and friendship, we were not even worthy of the directions to our table. The “discount” of two euros was granted to me after I kindly asked three times if since we were bringing dessert we could have a price adjustment not using the desserts included in the basket. I had to ask for an answer because you boast clarity and availability but evidently not answering was convenient. Then I don’t understand what there should have been an additional cost for… Maybe for the steak knife to cut the hot and crumpled cake? I won’t answer about the rest because I am not responsible for my guests’ reviews on the quality of the food, I didn’t say anything about that and it is not the core of your poor service. About the dog: we are great animal lovers but the dirty and rather agitated dog has been gravitating towards the food the whole time, to the point of being able to lick the plate with the leftover cake. This is also very serious. But I had been careful not to mention it because the responsibility certainly does not lie with the dog. Sometimes it is perhaps wiser to take a step back and apologize, so unfortunately the bad impression is doubled. If you have the time and desire to respond again by getting a third face, go ahead, I have wasted enough of my time so I will leave you the last word without any problems. Many thanks to you Valeria

30/07/2025: I used to love going to Roadhouse, the food was very good, and plentiful. Things have changed in the last two or three years. The food is more expensive, and also much cheaper. The staff has also changed; the kindness and attentiveness are gone. It's a real shame.

04/07/2025: Assuming that the food is good quality (otherwise I would have given one star), I think the bill of €120 for 4 is a bit high with: - cold cuts and fried gnocco to share (normal portions) - 4 first courses ("caramelle" butter and sage with mushroom sauce - normal portions) - 3 desserts - 2 coffees - a quarter of red wine and 2 bottles of water It should be a trattoria... Clearly no prices displayed or announced verbally.

20/04/2025: Siamo arrivati e subito, abbiamo ammirato il panorama... "stupendo". Le colline piacentine, nonostante il tempo non fosse dei migliori, regalano sempre un bellissimo spettacolo. Siamo stati accolti, con gentilezza dalla proprietaria. Ci è sembrato di entrare letteralmente in casa sua. Una persona, veramente squisita, che con il suo staff, coccola il cliente. Abbiamo avuto il piacere, di gustare un menù a dir poco ottimo, in qualità e quantità. L'antipasto composto da gnocco fritto, culatello e burrata. Tortelli piacentini, con burro e salvia e sughetto ai funghi. Tagliatelle al sugo d'anatra. Roast beef con patate di contorno. In ultimo, macedonia di fragole con una fogliolina di mentuccia e dolce pasquale che consisteva in una fetta di colomba, su crema al mascarpone. Che dire, veramente una bella Pasqua, inaspettata. Grazie di cuore a tutto lo staff, in special modo alla proprietaria, per averci coccolato e fatto sentire come a casa. La gentilezza e l'attenzione ai dettagli, hanno reso questa giornata davvero speciale. Sicuramente ritorneremo!!!

23/03/2025: Nulla da dire sulla qualità .. brioches super friabili e ottime. Quello che manca è il condimento. Le brioches sono praticamente sempre vuote all’interno, c’è solo una piccolissima pallina di crema/pistacchio o marmellata in alto. Due euro per una brioches piccola e vuota è esagerato.
