Every time I visit Venice I Dine at Trattoria Povoledo. My first time was in December 2015, I got to know the owner and the chef (since it was the off season), we watched Milan win a Futbol match together. Sadly I never took photos during that visit. Fast-forward 3 years later I visited again in August of 2018 and both the owner and chef remembered who I was! I couldn't wait to go back this year, but sadly it's under new management, same family, just different folks running it now.
I always order the same thing and I have never been disappointed and will continue coming back every time I return to Venezia!

The food here was… fine. Nothing special, nothing memorable, just decent and to us felt like the better choice considering the other places around. However, if you’re after a beautiful setting, the terrace makes it worth it.

This restaurant looks like nothing from the street but the terrasse with a view on the canal is absolutely stunning! Highly recommended for people how are looking for standard Italian cuisine at fair price and good local wines.

An evening on the terrace of Povoledo, overlooking the Grand Canal, is priceless... impeccable and welcoming service, varied and very well-prepared menu... the staff gives precious advice... I'll be back as soon as I can and will continue!!!

Try to get there early (11:45AM) to get the corner table, it has the best view! 🫶🏻

Ottima cena, pizza e primi piatti gustosi e abbondanti. Vista magnifica anche se non abbiamo potuto cenare con il tavolo più vicino al canale non è permessa la prenotazione. Comunque la vista è stupenda anche dal fondo.

Ristorante nei pressi della stazione con tavoli che guardano anche sul Canal Grande. Abbiamo mangiato bene con prezzi nella norma, personale gentilissimo
