03/04/2024: We tested the hotel and restaurant on a half board basis for 3 days during the Easter holidays and we really enjoyed it. The rooms are very beautiful and well-kept, bathrooms included and also all the common areas, in particular the reading room, with TV and fireplace, sofas and games to relax after a day on the snow. The hotel is well located for skiing, not just alpine skiing. We would like to point out the kindness and helpfulness of all the staff and the quality of the furnishings, products and services offered. Varied and rich breakfast, like dinner with always generous portions.
15/03/2024: It's absurd that there still exist hotels that don't accept dogs. Only small size I was told! What changes then is unknown. Absurd.

06/04/2024: I'm sorry but I was disappointed with this experience.
The Aosta Valley meat was inedible and in fact I left almost all of it there (eating mostly the potatoes). You couldn't even chew the fondue croutons. The environment is not elegant on the outside, chaotic on the inside. Not my thing. The bread is also inedible and the breadsticks are of poor quality. The service is fast, which is why I gave it two stars and not one.
01/04/2024: If you visit Aosta it is forbidden not to stop here. By far the best place we ate in during the several days of our stay in the Valley. The place is typical and as you can see from the photos they reflect the typical nature of the tavern, there are many objects that they refer to the place where you are but the real gem of this place is the goodness of the dishes. Truly special and absolutely in line with the average price! We took the starter, first course, second course and dessert and I would take everything again because you will remember the delicacy for days and days.Super super super recommended

17/03/2024: Truly unique evening! It starts with a walk with the snowcat and a view of La Thuille under the stars. You arrive at the hut and the welcome begins outside with canapé and mulled wine. Then you enter and the magic begins immediately. The environment is very beautiful, everything glitters and brings back days of celebration. The welcome is truly special: all the staff are kind, professional and always smiling. Raffaella takes us to the table and never neglects us, making us feel truly pampered. Excellent food. The raclette very good and the suckling pig superb. The quantities and accompanying side dishes are right. I appreciated having chosen my menu first. Really great evening!!! To redo
08/03/2024: L’atmosfera dello Riondet ti catapulta nel clima natalizio anche se è marzo. Suggestivo e divertente arrivare con il gatto delle nevi mentre fuori nevica. La location in pieno stile montano direttamente sulle piste, con un grande albero di Natale illuminato. Dentro atmosfera calda e accogliente. Personale gentile e attento. Abbiamo gustato il menù tradizionale, e ci è piaciuto dall’inizio alla fine. Ottima qualità e quantità abbondante,forse anche troppo! Siamo stati davvero bene! Prezzo in linea con i servizi offerti e il cibo gustato.

31/03/2024: Recommended by a local person, we went to dinner in this characteristic farmhouse full of typical products. The staff was very welcoming and kind... we ate typical local products of great quality, from cold cuts to cheeses, to meat. We opted for the fixed menus of 30 and 35 euros... shared between 5 given the quantities accompanied by an excellent wine. Very honest and more than adequate price!
Highly recommended…we will definitely be back!

The mocetta, the local wine, the superlative legume and chestnut soup, bread and fontina which is worth 10 cum laude are delicious.
The guys at the service are very good!

17/03/2024: Dinner after a rather heavy day of skiing. Excellent cured meats, a good first course, a pleasant second course and finally a dessert. Spent the right amount considering being in one of the most glamorous and well-known ski resorts abroad. Very kind staff. Highly recommended.

I then saw that at the other tables they offered dishes outside the menu, probably the lunch menu at a particular price.
Prices not adequate for the quality of what I ate

06/04/2024: Very good food, slow service (but I think it's typical of mountain places where people have the privilege of not having to rush), high prices (16 euros for a polenta with only cheese, although really delicious).
Friendly staff, nice environment.
Maybe they would say something to the parents who make their children (barefoot?) watch cartoons at the table... it's not respectful towards the other customers.

08/03/2024: Sono davvero contenta di aver pranzato nel ristorante di questa locanda.
Il locale è molto caratteristico e suggestivo, con pareti di pietra, soffitto a volta e dettagli in legno.
Il personale è gentile e il servizio rapido.
Il menù è vario e tipico, a cena (forse non tutti i giorni) si può mangiare anche la pizza.
Non mancano le proposte di piatti con selvaggina, le porzioni sono abbondanti e di buona qualità, i prezzi assolutamente allineati all'offerta.
Vivamente consigliato!
23/02/2024: Mio figlio ha prenotato in questo posto per il pranzo del suo compleanno: un locale davvero caratteristico ed accogliente con personale molto gentile e disponibile.Noi abbiamo preso un tagliere di lardo di Arnad con castagne e miele 😋,gnocchi fatti in casa al bleu d’Aosta e noci🔝e per finire una torta di mele favolosa. Menu ricco con piatti deliziosi.Consigliato a pieni voti 💯

27/02/2024: Abbiamo sia soggiornato che cenato alla Gruba per festeggiare il compleanno. Che dire? Tutto quello che è già stato scritto di positivo è confermato, vale la pena arivare in cima alla valle anche solo per mangiare, qualità eccellente. Abbiamo utilizzato i servizi della SPA, piccola ma degna d nota. Cortesia dei proprietari e del personale, colazione ottima. Vorrei essere ancora lì...quindi ci tornerò.
14/01/2024: Fine settimana perfetto. Piccolo borgo decisamente isolato, ci si arriva con una strada piuttosto ripida, comoda solo se non innevata. Il relais ha un comodissimo parcheggio ma da lì occorre salire in mezzo alle case su una scala in pietra un po' faticosa se si hanno molti bagagli. Questa poca fatica è ripagata da camere curatissime, interamente in legno e pietra, veramente fantastiche. Io ho soggiornato in una superior che consiglio vivamente. Zona benessere bellissima, assolutamente da provare non foss'altro per vedere l'ambiente che l'architetto ha saputo creare. Anche l'ambiente dove è stato ricavato il ristorante è superlativo, una veranda interamente in vetro. La struttura è gestita in maniera impeccabile da un piccolissimo staff, cordiale, discreto, disponibile e professionale. Il menu del ristorante è semplice, con una carta dei vini ricca ed esaustiva. Si deve pur sempre tener presente che il relais si trova nel nulla e ogni cosa è un lusso perché deve essere portato su dalla valle!
