14/06/2026: We just had lunch. The food was good and of good quality. The price was reasonable.
13/06/2026: Farmhouse with local dishes.. the products are of the highest quality even if the dishes chosen did not fully satisfy us... the meat of the carbonada in my opinion should have melted in the mouth but it was not exactly like that.

19/08/2026: We returned after many years, and this time I wasn't entirely convinced by some of the dishes.
The risotto was amazing, but I found the tzgonier meat too dry and a bit stringy.
The service was impeccable, the restaurant was well-kept, but I didn't like the outdoor restroom, which was inconvenient (I don't know if they find an alternative in winter or when it rains) and there's only one restroom for all the guests.
The bill was too high for the overall quality: €115.00 for two, drinking only water.

The dishes are excellent and very generous.
The prices are super affordable (we were able to order three dishes each and ended up paying the usual price).
The servers are all very friendly.
21/08/2026: A restaurant in the center of Aosta, with friendly and professional staff, well-organized service, good traditional food, and reasonable prices. I agree with the owners' decision not to allow pets, as it would hinder the management of the service. Top restaurant.

08/03/2026: Hare ragu is the next level at this lovely rustic restaurant. The hosts are very welcoming and genuinely happy to serve you.

08/08/2026: I've known this place for 25 years, and I have to say it always surprises me.
The quality of the food is always top-notch, typical Aosta Valley cuisine. The polenta is exceptional.
I've seen a gradual change in the management over the years, but they've always remained top-notch. In fact, with each passing year, it seems to me they're getting better.
In short: a charming place, excellent food, and fast, friendly, and efficient staff. Highly recommended!

10/08/2026: I find barley coffee a small cup, costing 4 euros, excessive! Even the decaffeinated one, costing 3 euros, is a bit high for this type of establishment.
06/08/2026: Frankly, we were disappointed with our visit. We had a reservation and asked to be seated inside because it was freezing cold.
The waiter told us there would be a 5-minute wait, only to return 20 minutes later and seat us... outside, nice and chilly.
Then, it took ages to take our order. Tables that arrived after us were served much earlier, which wasn't very pleasant. As for the food, it was a mixed bag: the pizzas were very good, but one of the other dishes was clearly not up to standard for a restaurant of this caliber.
In short, €100 for 3 courses, 3 drinks, and 3 covers, given the cold and the slow service, was definitely not worth the price.

10/07/2026: We visited almost all the restaurants on the Italian mountain passes, and this one was definitely the most expensive... And it wasn't the most beautiful place or standard menu, poor, "strange" dishes, if you just want to eat something filling, I don't recommend it, personally I don't recommend it... the coperto fee includes air and cutlery...

17/08/2026: Wow, I don't think that's enough.
We arrived by chance without a reservation, almost at the end of the service. Despite the packed house, they seated us within minutes.
The dishes were meticulously presented and exceptionally delicious, and the place was simply fantastic.
17/08/2026: Typical local cuisine in a quaint setting near the center of Aosta. Excellent food (both first and second courses), good wines and spirits. The waiters are very friendly, and the absinthe ritual is a lot of fun.

27/03/2026: I only slept one night. I was given room 204, which I booked on Booking. I barely slept a wink because of the uncomfortable bed. It was two small beds joined together instead of slats, two rigid wooden planks, and an 8 cm thick mattress, probably from the 1980s. I may not care about the furnishings, but at least I need a decent bed. After my complaint, the lady justified herself by saying they'll have to renovate, and I pointed out that buying a bed base and mattress doesn't require renovation. Anyway, it was a terrible room.

Personally, I would have liked to have been told the price of 1/2 cup of wine you listed (28 euros)....My fault for not asking???
04/04/2026: Slow service. Pasta with a little sprinkle of truffle is not worth the price. You will usually get a better experience in Italy, so I advise making a reservation elsewhere

14/09/2025: We went for dinner on a Friday evening. The place is spacious, with plenty of seating, but the decor is a bit bland. We ordered a platter of cured meats and cheeses (the lard was very good, but the other cured meats were bland) and the bourguignon (tender and plentiful, with a variety of salted meats to accompany it).
The bill wasn't exactly cheap (about €50 per person with wine).
09/09/2025: Excellent atmosphere and service, but disappointing value for money.
