Osteria da Nando

Aosta
02/05/2026: We had a particularly delicious meal at a nice little family restaurant. We had the 5-course menu and everything was good. The accompanying wine pairing was also good for a friendly price.
26/04/2026: Traditional, top-notch - see you soon 😋

Trattoria Praetoria

Aosta
05/04/2026: My family and I went to this restaurant yesterday and it was absolutely spectacular; I recommend it one hundred percent. First of all, I'm celiac, and the safety measures were wonderful—gluten-free dishes and no risk for us. It's wonderful when you can enjoy a meal without worry; celiacs simply understand that. They also had a high chair for babies, which was also fantastic. The service was great, and the place was cozy and typical of the area. I loved everything about this restaurant, and that's why I felt I had to write this review because it was so worth it.
05/04/2026: Very nice food and atmosphere 👌 We particularly enjoyed the appetizers and the dessert!

Osteria dell'Oca

Aosta
15/05/2026: We received a very warm welcome from the owner. Some of the staff speak French and made the effort to help us, which was really nice! The prices are very reasonable, the portions are generous, and the servers are very friendly! A place to remember! 😀
15/05/2026: The ground floor was practically empty, yet all tourists who didn't speak Italian were sent to the basement: French, Chinese, etc. Without any explanation, we too were placed downstairs.

Osteria La Vache Folle

Aosta
09/06/2026: The place is furnished in a mountain style, good food, with various Aosta Valley specialities, they always tell me it's full, with the cover charge at the end they bring you bottled liqueurs and you can take as much as you want, try it
06/06/2026: A pleasant tavern offering good food at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, in our case, the experience of having a digestive slammed on our head with a glass and a helmet (which I strongly advise against) proved very unpleasant. It's a "game," a prank, that can become dangerous if the host doesn't use the right amount of force and hits the helmet too hard. In our case, the obviously oversized "helmet" didn't cushion the blow, and I ended up going home with a bruised head, a general feeling of malaise, and a persistent headache for days. There are certain things you shouldn't joke about, because an "experience" like this can become dangerous and no longer fun (and I'm writing this as a doctor as well as a diner). I seriously recommend that the owners moderate the experience (if they really want to keep it that way) because there's a risk of some guests getting seriously injured (not by the friend with the bribe, but by the host himself who hits them with the glass). It would be desirable if customers could go home satisfied with the food and the friendliness and not sore from a crazy and decidedly poorly managed game.
