The place is furnished in a mountain style, good food, with various Aosta Valley specialities, they always tell me it's full, with the cover charge at the end they bring you bottled liqueurs and you can take as much as you want, try it

It's not a dinner but an experience, a family that takes care of the customer. But let's start from the beginning.
We ended up here inspired by a post on social media.
The atmosphere is full and warm, full of Aosta's history and cowbells. The wooden ambiance is warm and welcoming.
The house wine by the glass is decent, both white and red.
The tartare of salted viande was expertly seasoned with apples and a delicious sauce. We've eaten these dishes in many parts of the world, but this one deserves a place on the podium.
Lonzino flavored with genepi and tuna sauce. Excellent, the lonzino was juicy and flavorful.
Tagliolini with beef ragù and rosemary, perfectly cooked and flavorful, with hints of rosemary present but not overpowering.
Ravioli with fondue sprinkled with black bread. The fondue, excellent, was the star, and the black bread, like cheese, was a very interesting find.
Beef and pork haché on a bed of mutton with potatoes and lard. The lard and potatoes (juicy) perfectly balanced the haché, which, being pork, had to be well-cooked and inevitably a bit dry. Truly a dish worth trying.
Beef carbonade with polenta, very tender, completely different from Belgian carbonade but very tender and flavorful.
Entrecote, tender and flavorful.
The desserts were a shooting star in a firmament of excellent dishes.
Yogurt parfait with apples and tobacco liqueur, perhaps the best parfait I've ever had, and sweet bread with mascarpone cream.
Amari were offered (a little too sweet for my taste).
All sourced from family farms and in the Aosta Valley.
Food is certainly a matter of taste but we believe that if you want to know the hospitality, the history and the local dishes I would say that this is an essential stop.

I know this place and decided to return today. The quality of the food and the unique features of the place are always top-notch.
The decor is meticulously crafted and very pleasant. There's a wide selection of dishes, and meat is their signature dish.
I recommend making a reservation.

We came on a recommendation, but left very disappointed.
The good points: The fact that some of the servers spoke French was very pleasant/appreciated (thank you). The setting is very pretty, and parking is easy. The wine was good.
The bad points: A distinct lack of smiles and friendliness from some of the servers. Furthermore, digestion was difficult: we had stomach aches and upset stomachs for the rest of the day.
