26/06/2026: After two days of fantastic food and spectacular service, we arrived to celebrate my husband's birthday, and neither the food nor the service was any better. What a shame! I won't be back and I don't recommend it. They were eager for us to leave and didn't even offer us coffee.

02/07/2026: Amazing food and the Owner & Chef is the nicest person. He spent 7 years working in a 2 Michelin star restaurant and you can really taste and see culinary training. He speaks fluent English and is super friendly. Chef’s goal was to present his grandmother’s recipes but in a more elevated way-he truly succeeded. The tuna we had was super tasty and a crowd favorite. This is the place to go if one wants a taste of true local Italian cooking. Anyone visiting Tuscany should definitely come here and give this place a try.

07/05/2026: We can't say enough about Ambrosia. This was our second visit to Cortona and our second visit to Ambrosia. Each time the food and service were fantastic. The owner/chef greeted us and spoke with us about the dishes he prepared. We tried the six course chef's dinner and it was fantastic (and we love good food). Highly recommend.

16/05/2026: We were returning from Tuscany and stopped in Arezzo for a break. We had lunch at this elegant and refined restaurant, but the best part was the food. Elaborate dishes that are a pleasure for the palate and the eye, and the service was very friendly. The chef's welcome, the sweet treat while waiting for dessert, and the biscuits with coffee...a real treat...recommended! Sabrina and Mauro

26/06/2026: This restaurant is a must-go if in Tuscany. The food was incredible, easily the best we’ve had on our trip. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The ambiance of the restaurant is so calming and nothing like we’ve ever seen before. It’s outdoors in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Please visit and give this place some more love!! 12/06/2026: We booked the place by chance, but it was a very pleasant surprise. The osteria is surrounded by greenery, far from the urban chaos and rigorously rustic in style. The staff is helpful and welcoming; always present but without being invasive. It's a shame the service wasn't impeccable; the children's dishes (aged 2, 3, and 6) absolutely must arrive before the adults'. The food is excellent; the ingredients are excellent and the preparation is excellent, yet simple...as an osteria demands! The price is in line with the quality and quantity.

We tried both the meat and fish dishes and were truly impressed: everything was beautifully cooked, with fresh, top-quality ingredients. The location is stunning, and dinner on the terrace offers a truly charming and pleasant atmosphere. To top it all off, the staff was incredibly welcoming, extremely kind and attentive. We will definitely be back, highly recommended!

02/06/2026: A gem in Cortona: tradition, lightness, and a warm welcome from days gone by! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Every time we return to Cortona, a stop at this restaurant is a fixed and indispensable ritual. We recently took my father-in-law from Arezzo here to celebrate his 89th birthday, and it was an exceptional choice: a memorable success! The atmosphere is refined, traditional, and welcoming, perfect for feeling at home even on special family occasions. The cuisine is simply extraordinary: it manages to combine excellent flavor with surprising lightness. Everything is cooked divinely and never feels heavy. The first courses are a work of art: handmade pici and tagliatelle are worth the visit in themselves. An honorable mention absolutely goes to the excellent fried porcini mushrooms, simply exquisite and not at all greasy. The meat is also excellent, tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection. What really makes the difference, however, is the human factor: The service: The waiters, especially Cecilia and Ali, are exquisite. Kind, friendly, professional, and always smiling, ready to satisfy every request. The owner: Paolo is a man from another era. His helpfulness and the visceral passion he puts into his work are evident in every detail of the restaurant. All this is complemented by an excellent quality-price ratio, which these days is a significant plus. The bottom line? Everything is top-notch. If you're passing through Cortona, this place is highly recommended!

03/06/2026: We went to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The location is beautiful, immersed in the typical Tuscan landscape with hills, olive trees, vineyards, and plenty of greenery. The restaurant reserved a room for us that connects to the garden and adjacent lawn, where there are even round bales of hay for photos. The lunch was excellent, and all the staff were very kind and helpful, accommodating all our requests. (We left them a tip.) We also had a gazebo where we danced and played with all our friends. It was beautiful, we'll definitely be back; a friend of ours has booked for his 50th wedding anniversary. Thanks to Mr. Patrizio and his wife, who were truly wonderful hosts.

19/06/2026: The service was good, and the food was delicious. In particular, I asked for a Sangiovere wine recommendation, and they suggested one with a high Sangiovere content; it was fantastic. It really is the representative wine of the Tuscany region.

26/05/2026: This was our first trattoria experience in Italy, and it was everything we hoped for. The food tasted truly authentic, the service was exceptional, and everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming. The hospitality was genuinely top notch and made the whole experience even more special. We absolutely loved it and will remember it as one of our favorite meals in Italy.

18/06/2026: INCREDIBLE! If you are fortunate to have Arnaldo the owner as your server, don’t even bother with the menu, just trust him to take care of everything. We didn’t just have good food and wine - we had a wonderful experience sharing this meal together. After dinner, as the staff were busy closing shop, we went inside to ask about wines and Arnaldo stopped what he was doing and spent 10-15 minutes explaining his wines and what makes a “naturale” wine so special. Do not miss this opportunity in Cortona! The fake “tonno” was a standout. Gracie Arnaldo!

19/05/2026: If you're coming from Spain, don't even think about eating here. It's a failed restaurant, only good for American tourists who fall for this rip-off. The food is unremarkable, but the service is appalling: 40 minutes for the menu, 60 minutes for the wine, then your partner eats dinner before you do, and the waitresses just stand there idly. In short, a real gem. I hope you don't fall into temptation.

15/05/2026: Romano, one of the few restaurateurs who pampers you as if you were at home! Romano's cuisine is an art, with dishes studied down to the last detail that highlight traditional flavors and excellent quality ingredients, from the cold cuts (offered by Romano) to the tagliolini with truffle, the stewed beef cheek, and the dessert (what I ordered). The only real difficulty is choosing! I'm not a wine expert, but Romano recommended an exceptional wine, definitely above average compared to what you'll find elsewhere. The prices are fair for the service, the location, and the host's friendliness. If you're in Umbria, you can't miss it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

06/07/2026: Nice, quaint place. A bit overpriced overall. Good meat and good wine. The bruschetta is particularly poor, not worth the price, and the tiramisu is a mush without any shape.
