28/01/2026: Passing by this place, we were intrigued by the comments we'd read, so we immediately asked: why not try it?
It was a little past the most convenient time for a restaurant (1:50 PM), and we know it well, but they accepted us anyway.
Our first impression was that the waiter was a bit grumpy (and the presentation at that hour certainly didn't help), but the food was a huge winner! We each ordered a main course with just one side and a dessert, forced by the "travel" factor, but we would have gladly tried other options because we were so spoiled!
The Grand Carte was excellent, with some preliminary planning that we greatly appreciated!
The guinea fowl was very delicate, beautifully presented, with a special touch: the exposed bone with the fried end, giving it a different texture than the main dish… the pici were excellent, cooked well, the onion cream was delicious and delicate, the contrast with the crispy pancetta was perfect, the pepper garnish was spot on, and above all, the customer could choose whether to use it or not… the cabbage flan was excellent…
The dessert: the deconstructed millefeuille deserves applause! The pastry was crispy, the cream had a well-balanced texture, and the salted caramel was the perfect finishing touch for someone like me who doesn't like extremely cloying desserts!
The young lady (the chef's sister) highly recommends the white chocolate tiramisu, which we'll be back to try! ☺️
The restaurant was very tidy, clean, and bright, and it's in an excellent location with a lovely view. I didn't see the other rooms, and I didn't look too closely because we wanted to vacate them as soon as possible. We'll definitely be back and trying more, but in the meantime, I'd happily recommend taking a break from them because they deserve it!

24/10/2025: Food was well prepared and wel proportioned, our waiter was very kind and attentive. And the view is out of this world. Highly recommended. Just don't trust Google maps if you're coming in from the south because it wants to send you down a 5 km tractor path. It's not suitable for even tractors. I turned around about a 100 ft in and found a different route.
22/10/2025: A special thank you to Jerry for a wonderful evening. We decided at short notice to have dinner at La Forra. Even though we didn't have a reservation, a table was quickly prepared for us. As on a previous visit, the food was excellent. The duck breast and the beef (from our own farm) are highly recommended.
As a side dish, I highly recommend the roasted cauliflower with almonds and berries. A fantastic experience.
The service that evening was absolutely perfect. Attentive and extremely friendly.
An excellent grappa and a pleasant conversation with our host rounded off the evening. Thank you very much!

05/04/2026: We went to this restaurant for Easter lunch, five adults and a three-year-old. There was nothing to complain about, and the service was excellent, from appetizer to dessert. When it came time to pay, I asked at the cashier how much I should pay for the child, obviously since she ate as much as a three-year-old, which is almost nothing compared to an adult. The owner told me, "No, we don't do these things," and in the absence of a specific children's menu agreement, the price would remain full.
Great, I paid, and I hope you can enjoy them, because in my opinion you can just as well close the door, because exploiting a three-year-old to make money is pretty disgusting!

18/03/2026: I returned after years because, alas, personal circumstances have long kept me away from this magnificent restaurant—in terms of distance, I mean. But I've never forgotten the teenage evenings I spent here. Not to brag, but I helped create the name of the pizza, "Sporta di Serafino," because I always ordered this custom pizza. Eventually, the owner added it to the menu because her father, Serafino, exclaimed when ordering, "Hey, they want a Sporta here!" (which is like a saddlebag in Cortona dialect). 😊
A restaurant well-known and beloved in the Cortona area and my hometown of Lake Trasimeno. A historic venue with stone walls, very convivial and ideal for both intimate dinners and large business dinners, etc. The place is well-maintained, clean, and hygienic. If we were to find a flaw, the parking lot was a bit inconvenient and not very large, but it's not a big deal, since there's plenty of free space further up the street. The staff was efficient, very kind, and friendly. I, of course, had a "Sporta di Serafino" pizza (which I'll post in a photo), a portion of fries, a profiteroles, and a medium glass of Coke and bottled sparkling water.
Everything was always authentic, tasty, and prepared to perfection. The cost was €30, so it's fair. A special shout out to all the staff, and I hope to see you soon. ❤️

02/01/2026: A pleasant evening in Arezzo at this place I wasn't familiar with.
Modern and elegant decor, a relaxing atmosphere.
Friendly and professional table service, young and motivated staff.
The specialty here is fresh pasta.
Recommended are the tagliatelle with veal ragù, and the onion soup (fantastic) as an appetizer. Then came the "cavati" with pumpkin and Montemercole pecorino cheese and Grigio del Cessentino bacon. All washed down with two glasses of Syrah.
The meal ended beautifully with dessert: rice cake with English cream.
Affordable and not overpriced prices, a place suitable for all ages, including families. Ample free parking is available outside.
Whether you're in Arezzo on vacation or just passing through, this place is worth a visit.
Definitely worth returning to.

16/12/2025: We celebrated our daughter's graduation...we couldn't have asked for anything better! Excellent seafood lunch, as well as a selection of excellent meats and a special lunch for our two little kids. A truly delicious cake was included. The welcome was wonderful and the location beautiful. Thanks to Stefania and her staff.

18/07/2025: Fantastische lokatie met uitzicht op Piazza Grande in Arezzo. Groot terras. In de middag een goede cocktail gehad en in de avond een diner. Niet geboekt en we konden meteen terecht, er was tevens herkenning van onze aanwezigheid eerder die dag. Menu is varierend en de opmaak is heel goed - gerechten zijn boven verwachting. Echt een aanrader voor een bezoek aan Arezzo. Wordt aangeschreven als duur maar niet in vergelijking met de menukaart in Noord-west Europa.

13/03/2026: An amazing happenstance for our group of 6. We were unknowingly the first dinner guests- opening night.
We had a variety of primos (pastas, gnocchi, pork shank) that were all perfect, followed by a secondi of Florentine biefsteak.
As the first night, the new owner (Francesco), didn't have the first red wine I ordered and also realized one shelf of wine was out of reach behind our table. (Opening night snags). He was mortified. Nothing to worry about. I was happy because i was ordering based on grapes (sangiovesse) and now he could pick perfect wines for us. (They were!)
The cost seemed so small for the meal and experience we enjoyed. All capped off by some limmoncelle(?) or grapa with herbs from Lilli's (owner /wife) garden.
I can't imagine how you get better than we had. So we'll have to try their other restaurant where all the snags have been cleared and everything is practiced.
10/03/2026: Very nice place, very friendly staff, and excellent food. We came on Sunday for lunch, even though it was 2 pm, they let us eat without any problems. I highly recommend it!

11/08/2025: I discovered this restaurant for my bachelor party, guided in this discovery by my lifelong friends. The location is charming: a bit remote from the rest of the world, a bit mountain hut-like due to the use of wood in the furnishings, a bit mountain hut-like due to the sense of refreshment as soon as the dishes arrive.
The dinner consisted of:
- Appetizer: black crostini (Tuscan, not Umbrian) and crostini with dried tomatoes (with the addition of a fresh cheese), cured meats (prosciutto, salami, capocollo, lard, and dried sausage), and cheese, with fried gnocco as a side dish;
- First courses: ricotta and spinach ravioli with fresh tomatoes and gnocchi with ragù antico (a white Chianina beef ragù);
- Second courses: roast beef (excellently cooked, practically melted in the mouth), grilled sausage and lamb, and steak, with salad and fried zucchini flowers on the side.
- Dessert: panna cotta with a fresh strawberry garnish.
I could comment on every single dish; simply put, Franco, the owner, also owns a butcher shop and knows his stuff inside out. You won't necessarily always find the entire menu available, but you can discover "picturesque" taste paths if you let him guide you. My adventuresome friends, who were completely new to the place, explained to me how difficult it might be to find the same dish again, but how much more astonishing it is to sample, savor, and finally devour simple dishes prepared with quality ingredients.
I will definitely return, perhaps outside of the "overly festive" atmosphere that accompanied my first visit to Ricordati di me. The restaurant's name, as far as I'm concerned, is certainly fitting.
