We originally made reservations for the day before, but due to a flat tire on the way, had to call and ask to change our reservations to the next day while we waited for roadside assistance. They were so kind and were able to accommodate a move to the following day which we especially appreciated because the dinner out was to celebrate our anniversary. Despite our trouble getting to the restaurant, once we arrived the next night it was all worth it! From the minute we stepped through the doorway until we left it was a beautiful evening! We were seated in on of the cozy tables outside, which was the perfect romantic ambiance for our occasion. Everyone was very welcoming and attentive through the dinner and the food was amazing! We decided to ordered a tasting menu selected by the chef and it was definitely the right decision! I don't know when we'll be back in Cortona, but when we are I do know that La Bucaccia will be our first stop!

Would’ve ordered half the menu if I could’ve, and what we did get was spectacular. Some of the most attentive service we’ve received in Italy thus far.

We visited La Bucaccia and had a truly excellent experience. The service was impeccable: the staff were kind, attentive, and always available without being intrusive. We felt welcomed and cared for with great professionalism. The food is top-quality, with excellent ingredients and dishes crafted with respect for tradition. The Chianina beef, in particular, was simply spectacular. The quality-price ratio was also excellent, absolutely in line with the level of the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to eat well in Cortona!

Fantastic food,Fantastic atmosphere. My only criticism Is the owner coming around every table and offering delicious aged Salami. It seemed by the gesture that he was offering it gratuitously. Much to my surprise for about 8 slices of Salami,19 Euros was added to our bill Considering our meal cost $237,50 this seemed unethical.

I called in to La Bucaccia Cortona for dinner with no reservation and was warmly welcomed. I was shown to a table for one and menues arrived quickly along with specials. This restaurant is Michelin starred and has been since 2017. Everything on the menu sounded great and hard to make a choice. Every dish i had was absolutely beautiful. Great food and portions i thought were good. I was given some home made salami with lemon and special bread, the salami was so tasty and would be well worth ordering. The ambience is lovely and would be great for romantic dinners or just a night out with friends or family. I can highly recommend La Bucaccia Da Romano. Great food, great service and very reasonable prices.

We had such a beautiful lunch here. The service was impeccable from start to finish, and the owner was incredibly warm, friendly, and an absolute delight. Every dish we ordered was delicious and clearly prepared with great care and quality ingredients. The tiramisu deserves a special mention, it was easily one of the best we’ve ever had. A genuinely wonderful experience in every way—we’re already looking forward to coming back.

This is definitely the best restorant of Cortona. Very small and very cosy with a distint service. Persistently getting for 8 years Michelin award and at the same time is amazing to have just two people serving some dozen of tge tablets in a perfect way that the dishes comes without delays and the water and wive are toped up just as they get finished. All the dishes are delicious and unique. I want to pay the attention to zuppa inglese desert which is less mentioned than the wonderful tiramisù of the place but not less gentle and delicious!

The food was truly delicious, but the tiramisu literally made me cry with emotion, like the critic in the cartoon Ratatouille. I was transported back to my childhood. Congratulations!

12/04/2026: A sure thing My sixtieth birthday celebration, like every other time, the table was for twenty of us. We know the location; we hadn't been back in a while, but I had no hesitation in booking it. The owner is lovely, smiling, and helpful, with a passion for cooking and the dishes she offers. We didn't know what the menu had prepared, but we trusted it implicitly. The girl serving was very friendly and charming. She started with a series of appetizers: cecina with eggplant pâté on top, basil and ricotta tart with basil wafer and Sicilian cherry tomato cream, a basket of puntarelle and anchovies, crostini with cheese fondue, cured meat, and pink egg, a crispy oven-baked pappa al pomodoro, chocolate bread with chicken galantine and radicchio, the classic black crostini with vin santo, and puff pastry fingers with a gorgonzola cream to start, accompanied by prosecco. I also brought a magnum of Spatlese Riesling from the Mosel. To continue the lunch, we decide to order some Cortona Syrah, wild asparagus risotto, and artichoke-filled ravioli with a borage and nettle dressing. Then we move on to the main courses: mouth-watering Gran pezzo alla moschea alla moschea with mustard and roast potatoes, beer-baked pork chops with excellent zucchini, and to finish the main courses, baked guinea fowl on a bed of lettuce and stewed carrots. Everything was delicious. For dessert, the birthday boy was a shortcrust pastry cake with cooked custard, Portuguese milk, and biscuits so good I can still taste them in my mouth, all washed down with a glass of Moscato di Asti. What can I say? For me, this is the best restaurant I've ever eaten at. The bread and pasta are all made by the owner, the chef. The beauty of this restaurant is that you eat seasonal products available at that time of year, prepared with skill and intelligence. It's so great, you'll want to return every season. The price is very fair for the quality.
10/04/2026: I've been to this Italian no-menu restaurant four times already, and each time the menu is different and full of surprises! There were six appetizers alone, two main courses, two second courses, and two desserts—absolutely delicious! All the ingredients are created by the Italian owner himself, making them incredibly tasty. I've been here more than eight times, and each time the menu is different and full of surprises.
