18/08/2024: Located in a suggestive location among the narrow streets of Siena... you don't expect to find a great little gem... a place of great charm... the curiosity was whether the dishes respected the location... expectations respected... Tuscan dishes from ancient flavor but made modern... the genuine quality was perceived throughout... we wanted typical non-touristy dishes... and we guessed it... impossible to indicate one dish superior to another given that everyone (there were six of us) chose something different and in the end we tasted them all... I agree that they were all excellent and then it clearly depends on personal taste... for example I don't eat meat but the steak was very good and tender... I could have eaten it too. ..prepared and kind staff...thanks to Paolo the Owner who guided us pleasantly in the choices...and also told us a bit of the story given our curiosity about the exhibited photos of famous people who passed through his restaurant and the architecture particular of the place...excellent experience thank you very much

20/07/2024: Excellent Restaurant! Very refined dishes, refined flavours. Every dish chosen is elegant and refined. Attentive service and very knowledgeable and kind staff. Welcoming environment, with attention to every little detail.

03/08/2024: Ordered a spaghetti right. Before I got the food, I got bread that was very hard, probably a few days old, when I asked to change the bread for fresher bread, the staff claimed that it was fresh and got angry/angry with me. Later got my spaghetti which was not cooked enough as it was still hard. But didn't want to say anything as the staff were rude and not service oriented. Do not recommend visiting this restaurant!

14/08/2024: We went on vacation to Prato since we were visiting Italy. On recommendation we wanted to try and what a surprise. Local with family, neighborhood treatment and local food. Everything exquisite. If we return there I am sure that this will be one of my restaurants to repeat. Highly recommended

02/09/2024: This is one of the best steakhouses we have ever eaten at! The T-bone steak is charred on the outside and tender on the inside. The fat areas on the outside have been grilled until slightly charred and oily, and the inside is just red but not raw. A great detail, the steak plates are kept hot to prevent the sudden drop in temperature from making the steaks runny. We have been there twice in total. The first time we ordered mixed vegetable and bean soup as a side dish. Unfortunately, we did not appreciate this kind of bean and vegetable soup. It tasted very, very unpleasant and extremely salty. The second side dish of roasted potatoes (not photographed) was ordinary, not particularly amazing, nor particularly bad. Generally speaking, this restaurant is best for T-bone steak. Of all the steakhouses we've eaten at, it's the best!

09/07/2024: Our hotel concierge recommended this place or we would have NEVER found it or thought to go here. On the main street in the tiny town of Montisi, it looks to be a small caffe or deli from the outside, but you must go left and up the stairs to the restaurant. There are maybe 8-10 tables in 2 small dining areas. They start you with a complimentary glass of white wine which is delightful. There are no written menus, rather the servers come and tell you what they have for each of the courses. You have to kind of "hope" the prices aren't anything outrageous. But be assured, dining here will not break your bank - all menu items are reasonable. And delicious! The walls are lined with bottles of (mostly) local wine and you can peruse if you wish but there is also no written wine list. They asked us what type of wine we wanted - we said RED, something local - and they recommended a lovely, very affordable bottle from Montalcino. We had a delicious meat and cheese platter to start, some pasta dishes (the tagliatelle with garlic sauce was YUM), then I had a roasted chicken entree and my husband had a "meat loaf". The chocolate Cantucci for dessert was unique and delicious! NOT TO MENTION, Geoffrey Rush (actor from Pirates of the Caribbean fame) was sitting at a table right next to us. !! Apparently he lives in the area.

06/07/2024: We were exploring nearby towns on stumbled on Montisi which quaint but a little sleepy. We decided to look for this restaurant based on its ratings and had a wonderful experience. We were initially put off by the casual bar downstairs but once we found our way to the restaurant upstairs it was much nicer. Still some what plain in terms of ambiance but it is quickly made up for by the personality of the host Jean Luca. ( not sure if I have his name spelled correctly) He pulled up a chair up out table and chatted for a few minutes. Word to the wise.. there is no written menu…he verbally reviews all the courses and then takes your order…so you better pay attention! The food, wine and service were all great.

Typical place, very nice place, fast and professional service, very reasonable prices, the children licked their chops! If I end up in those parts again I will definitely return!

20/08/2024: Homemade pasta? No. 20 euros for pasta, certainly fresh, but by no means homemade, on which a few shavings of summer truffle have been scraped. It's abusive. There are much better things to find in Italy and this restaurant is not of particular interest. It's not bad, but it's nothing exceptional.

26/07/2024: Nothing to note negatively. It was not the first experience but nevertheless the first time of the evening (Thursday) exclusively Japanese cuisine. Knowing the chef from the other restaurant in Lucca, Nidia, which is only Japanese, we expected the confirmation which promptly arrived. Particularly appreciated in summer since you dine outdoors.
