Food was generally excellent. Service average. Atmosphere left a lot to be desired. We reserved in advance, like everyone else, and seating was pre done with names on table. The front section has tables between the wait staff area, bathroom and desk where the host sits answering the phone. For ~ 100 euro per person I wouldn't sit in that area. I'll be back in Florence soon but don't think I'd go back here unless I could guarantee not being stuck in the cheap seats (virtually all foreigners, mostly Asians, relegated to this area) Based on atmosphere and service I'd say it's a bit over rated.

I dined many times at Buca Mario and I would repeat a thousand times! Excellent service and delicious food. I love the zucchini carpaccio with truffle and everything!

A T-bone steak is something you can never eat alone. The taste varies greatly from person to person. If I were to describe it extremely subjectively, the meat quality didn't look that good. I made a reservation on a weekday with the help of a local. Fully booked at 7 p.m. when afternoon service begins.

Una garanzia. Ci vado sin da quando ero piccolo perchè piaceva molto a mia madre. Piatti ottimi. Pieno di turisti come tutti i locali di Firenze ma qui sono riusciti a mantenere un'ottima qualità. Personale super professionale e bravissimo. Proprietari gentilissimi. Prezzi.....beh a Firenze non regala niente a nessuno ma almeno qui sai che mangi bene. Per darvi un'idea l'altra sera Filetto ai ferri eccellente e bello grande, patate al forno, acqua e caffè 50 euro. Corretto!!!

07/04/2024: We visited a few years back and returned recently – still impressed! The eggplant parmigiana was outstanding and nearly brought a tear to my eye: great wine, top-notch service, and a lively atmosphere with both locals and tourists. I highly recommend for authentic Tuscan cuisine! The steak was great as we're the cannelloni beans with sausage, which didn't look appetising but was scrumptious!
07/04/2024: The food was lovely. It is a restaurant with a menu set back in the 90’s. I would certainly call it traditional! Haha. But saying that, the food was amazing. Simple, well executed and reminiscent of the Italian I grew up with. Thanks very much. It was a lovely lunch.

06/04/2024: Absolutely wonderful diner in this authentic local restaurant. We had made a reservation well ahead of time and it turned out that it was a wise decision. People that came without a reservation could wait or leave. Some people decided to wait for about 2 hours when the restaurant started to accepting new guests once tables cleared. The service, food and the whole experience was great and absolutely worth it.
