14/03/2026: Italian Americans from NYC here; we fell in love with Torrione and the family that owns it. In our 5 days in Tuscany staying at Palazzo San Lorenzo we came here 3 times. It is by far the most reasonably priced restaurant in the area, and we had a life-changing pizza (it had fresh mozz di búfala, Tuscan sausage & fried eggplant). Ignore the dumb things people said in other reviews, if you like good home cooking at a good price come here.

13/03/2026: An amazing happenstance for our group of 6. We were unknowingly the first dinner guests- opening night. We had a variety of primos (pastas, gnocchi, pork shank) that were all perfect, followed by a secondi of Florentine biefsteak. As the first night, the new owner (Francesco), didn't have the first red wine I ordered and also realized one shelf of wine was out of reach behind our table. (Opening night snags). He was mortified. Nothing to worry about. I was happy because i was ordering based on grapes (sangiovesse) and now he could pick perfect wines for us. (They were!) The cost seemed so small for the meal and experience we enjoyed. All capped off by some limmoncelle(?) or grapa with herbs from Lilli's (owner /wife) garden. I can't imagine how you get better than we had. So we'll have to try their other restaurant where all the snags have been cleared and everything is practiced.

10/03/2026: Very nice place, very friendly staff, and excellent food. We came on Sunday for lunch, even though it was 2 pm, they let us eat without any problems. I highly recommend it!

08/03/2026: A quaint, family-run Osteria in Buggiano's main square. A welcoming atmosphere, delicious, refined, and carefully prepared traditional cuisine. The service is courteous, attentive, and fast. A special mention goes to the very clean and well-equipped restrooms. Prices are moderate. Definitely recommended!

19/03/2026: Excellent dinner; beautiful setting, quality service, and generous portions. Delicious dishes. The Chianti tuna, in your favorite version, is out of this world. Tasty and tender. The place is quaint and pleasant, the service is courteous and friendly! If we ever come back to Lucca, we'll definitely be back. We highly recommend it!

23/02/2026: I visited here while on a trip. Every dish was so elaborately prepared and amazing! The 1.5kg steak was truly impressive! It wasn't just big; it was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor! Everything was so delicious that I ended up going back two days in a row!

23/02/2026: Delicious, high-quality dishes, professional and friendly staff. We had excellent appetizers, definitely worth trying: the pumpkin mousse with salted ricotta and chestnut cream, the tartare with a unique mustard, and the spaghetti with cavolo nero pesto. Everything was truly excellent.

28/02/2026: Located in Croci di Calenzano, about 6-7 minutes from the Barberino outlet. Nicely decorated, warm welcome, and great service. The scamorza and truffle crostoni, the cacio pepe and truffle pici, the pici with duck sauce, the fillet and sliced ​​fried potatoes, and the excellent quality/price ratio are excellent. Parking is available in front of the restaurant. We returned to try the fritto misto, tortelli with duck white sauce, and tagliolini with porcini mushrooms. Everything was delicious. Congratulations. We recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

23/01/2026: My wife and I went for lunch... a unique, welcoming atmosphere... we had a decent prosciutto appetizer... my wife ordered the picci with black truffle and Cinta Senesi, which were delicious... I ordered the beans all'uccelletto with sausage... I had to eat them cold, bland, without garlic or sage... with unpulped tomatoes... perhaps It's a recipe from an unknown country... avoid it.
