05/12/2025: I don't remember what we ordered each time, but when I remember our trip to Siena in 2019, it was the wonderful food that Mr. Gino Cacino di Angelo made for us, sharing his market, and enjoying the ambiance. A highlight of our trip - perhaps why we ate there several times in only 2 or 3 days. Thank you Mr. Gino Cacino di Angelo! We talk about this all of the time.

23/11/2025: A perfect lunch! I thank the owner for his kindness, preparation, and the warmth with which he welcomes customers. We need more places like this! Outstanding sandwiches, impeccable flavor combinations, also ideal for vegetarians, fresh, top-quality ingredients... and then there's the excellent wine list!

03/12/2025: Good morning, I was there on Sunday, November 30th. We had appetizers and first courses, and then we ordered 1.5 kg of Angus steak. I noticed on the receipt on Monday that they charged me for the Chianina, which costs €20 more per kilo. I called them, sent them the entire receipt, and they told me I ordered the Chianina. I was very disappointed. This was their response. Thank you, check the receipt.

14/10/2025: Excellent experience with traditional Tuscan dishes, the pici all'aglione, the pappardelle with white wild boar ragù are a must, the stewed pork shoulder is spectacular, perhaps the portion was a bit small, the price was fair, and the background music was great Italian classics. Worth a repeat. P.S. Always book, the place is small.

13/11/2025: Not in the historic center but easily accessible by tram, this historic osteria offers genuine and authentic flavors. The atmosphere is elegant, with select bottles of wine. Welcoming service. Quality food, with excellent meats.

16/10/2025: This restaurant recently changed their menu. We didn't know that they eliminated the delicious steaks they used to offer but we didn't mind trying something else. Unfortunately, all 5 of us had a mediocre meal, and the ingredients were of poor quality. My steak tartare wasn't even steak tartare but a pile of chopped meat without capers, cornichons, or mustard. Anyone can look up a basic steak tartare recipe these days. Eating outside in beautiful Lucca was the only plus of the experience, and we would never return, but they might not care because tourists are the clientele.

14/10/2025: I had dinner with my wife at this osteria ten days ago, after making a reservation because on Saturday nights the good places are "walled off". We had already read good reviews, then as we passed by the osteria, the place attracted us... it didn't seem like the usual tourist spot, and so it was. Porcini mushroom crostini, beef carpaccio with raw porcini mushrooms and parmesan, dressed with delicious olive oil, accompanied by a glass of house red, all excellent!!! The carpaccio melted in the mouth, and since it was mushroom season, the porcini mushrooms were delicious. The porcini mushroom crostini were a harmony of flavors. We finished with a dessert: a chocolate and pear tart with flambéed Catalan cream, a must-try. It's true that the tables are close together because the place is small, but that way we met and talked with two very nice locals who confirmed that the food here is good and authentic at a fair price! We'll be back!

06/12/2025: The waiter didn't ask us what weight of meat we wanted. My girlfriend got an overpriced €50 steak. Then he offered us porcini mushrooms as a side dish, not the menu item, without telling us that they were actually large porcini mushrooms, priced at €28. The bill was incredibly high. I felt completely ripped off!!

05/11/2025: I didn't know this restaurant and I celebrated my birthday by bringing 20 people but unfortunately things didn't go well, in fact, we started off badly right away by asking for a wine and they brought something else even after we mentioned it, the appetizers arrived and I think it was a sad sight as well as being poor. Then we ordered a first and second course each but always very disappointing and poor, not to mention the €180 for two cakes to say the least scandalous..... the bill arrived €75 each. I consider this the worst dinner in recent years. Absolutely avoid, quality/price out of proportion. Avoid it.

16/09/2025: The food is truly excellent and the dishes are worth it. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't up to par: I felt a lack of helpfulness and courtesy, especially from one waitress. This made the experience less enjoyable than the quality of the food would have warranted.

08/09/2025: We go there often and we have a great experience both in terms of food and with the guys/girls who work there... At lunch, despite all the workers who have to serve, they are very quick in getting the food to you... Excellent ✌🏻
