10/01/2026: On January 9th, my partner and I went to this restaurant for dinner with a couple of friends. I'll start by saying that I'm a pescetarian. Traditional Tuscan cuisine is predominantly meat-based, but there were still good vegetarian options. I chose and ate a delicious ribollita, and everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. The kindness and helpfulness of the staff was the first thing I noticed and appreciated. A place I recommend going to over and over again to feel at home and eat well. Compliments to the entire restaurant staff!

08/01/2026: Fantastic food with a lovely staff and a great atmosphere, with plenty of Gluten Free option, I can recommend steak is one of the best!!

11/01/2026: Very warm place, fast and friendly service, clean and with attention to detail. The wine and food were excellent. We tried a mixed antipasto of cured meats, meatballs, bruschetta, and pappa al pomodoro, followed by delicious first courses. I recommend anyone in the area to make a base here. I hope to return for the meat.

07/01/2026: We just returned from a weekend in Siena and discovered this truly superb restaurant. It's family-run; the mother is the chef and the son manages the dining room. The atmosphere is welcoming, refined, and meticulously detailed. We had lunch, and in addition to the care and passion with which each dish and the wine (which was recommended directly to us based on our choices) were described, the quality of the ingredients is undeniable. Highly recommended.

27/11/2025: The food was great as expected. And make sure to order the tiramisu ! Best tiramisu I’ve had. The service was also very very good. Highly recommend.

26/11/2025: Great food! The staff and owners are absolutely amazing! They randomly brought out tastings for us and surprised my kids with some yummy dessert! My kids are extremely picky eaters and they enjoyed several of the dishes!

09/01/2026: I visited Ristorante Gastone on a Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised. The welcome entrée was excellent: a cod meatball with onion sauce. The scallops with garlic sauce and Patanegra lard were delicious, although the garlic was a bit overpowering for my taste. The tuna-filled tortelli with pumpkin and parmesan were delicious, while the mezzepaccheri with pistachio pesto and sea bream were tasty, but the pistachios were a bit overwhelming. The mixed fried fish and desserts were excellent. The staff was very courteous and attentive, and the restaurant was well-kept and welcoming. The value for money is more than good, especially considering that seafood is the star of the show and that the restaurant is located right in the city center.

02/12/2025: Place recommended by locals... and I immediately understood why, seeing a restaurant so crowded on a Tuesday night can only mean that you're playing it safe!! 🙌 Delicious and refined menus, exquisite and abundant dishes!! I love wandering around the various places but I think that the place, the dishes and above all the managers deserve a visit from time to time 🤤 the "framcesina" will remain in my heart 🤣🤣 as well as everything else, really well done!!!

14/11/2025: Discovered by chance during a road trip in Tuscany, the ambiance and decor are refined and authentic, and the cuisine is fabulous! Worthy of a Michelin star! Grazie Mille!

10/11/2025: A very welcoming, clean atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, and if you want to eat quality meat and aren't sure what wine to pair with it, this is the place for you. Quality comes at a price, but the prices are in line with the quality and the type of restaurant. I recommend all the appetizers and, of course, the meat.

01/01/2026: A truly typical Tuscan place, a unique experience. Go eat there, the owners are very kind. The same family management since 1999! They have an enchanting garden.

20/01/2026: First of all, let me just say the wine list is incredible. There seems like 50 pages to their wine menu. So be prepared to spend a lot of time deciding what you're having for wine. Not a bad problem to have! The dinner options are also extensive. There are so many things to choose from. I am not a vegetarian or vegan but I do enjoy eating meals on occasion without meat. Osteria del Teatro has plenty of options without animal proteins. And I loved when I asked for meatless options, they were completely accommodating and were not at all surprised or offended that I wanted Italian food without meat. The service is excellent and filled with pride. Very patient. My particular server was helpful guiding me on the different types of wines and helping me translate the menu so I didn't have to bring out my phone. A highlight of my meal this night was the baked carmelized onions. Apparently they take 24 hours to prepare. They were immaculate.

18/01/2026: I've been going to this restaurant for many years and it's never disappointed me. Unfortunately, due to its distance, I can't go as often as I'd like. Today we returned and had another wonderful meal. It's nice to be able to say, "Let's go to Cortona and eat at a good restaurant I know," because that rarely happens these days.

18/01/2026: We just spent the weekend at this beautiful and clean property, in a quiet location with a magnificent view. The owners provided excellent service. The excellent breakfast catered to all tastes, with fresh, local produce, served on a cozy terrace with a beautiful view. We thank the owners for their hospitality, kindness, professionalism, and willingness to make us feel at ease. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

28/12/2025: Highly recommended! The staff is friendly, professional, and happy to chat with anyone. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, especially compared to other nearby restaurants. We had the spaghetti carbonara, the grilled chicken, and the veal loin: everything was delicious. The potatoes were exceptional. Shoutout to the guy I believe to be the manager, who welcomes customers and makes them feel at home. His voice, reminiscent of Giobbe Covatta, makes the conversation even more enjoyable. Thanks also to the young man who served us at the table, who was competent and very kind. Congratulations to everyone, and we hope to return soon!

27/08/2025: Pereta is a gem, and the restaurant was fantastic—both for its location, recommendations, and extremely kind staff—and the excellent food. My favorite dish: suckling pig! The prices are old-fashioned. We recommend booking.
