Excellent restaurant, located near the sea. The food was really good.

Very good but the pasta was almost raw

A restaurant with an excellent location overlooking the sea. We dined on the terrace at a comfortable table for four. The service was a bit haphazard due to a pizza ordered before the main courses, but the waiter managed to resolve the mix-up excellently. We ordered the cheese pizza, the mixed fried fish, the fried calamari, the seared tuna, and grilled vegetables. All the dishes were tasty, well-cooked, and beautifully served. The fried food was crispy and dry, except for the calamari dish, which wasn't crispy and needed a few more minutes of cooking. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is very polite and helpful, with the exception of one of the "waiters" who, between servings, was drinking beer and smoking cigarettes at the door near our table and other tables near us. I found this unprofessional, given the excellent service we received from the rest of the staff. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. I recommend it despite the somewhat exuberant and out of place "waiter in shirt and flip-flops".

this restaurant has good position in Mondello, but the service was horrible because of the owners altitude, food was great, but I wouldn’t recommend this place

Fantastic location overlooking the Mondello sea, just steps from the main square. Excellent seafood dishes, impeccably prepared using quality ingredients. Service lives up to expectations, with friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff.

I'm going against the grain of the review I read. In my opinion, it's a good restaurant with "normal" prices... The only downside is the guys' burnt pizza.

I've always seen Trattoria da Calogero from the outside, but since I'm not a big fan of seafood, I've never had the chance to try it. This evening, my girlfriend was really craving pasta with sea urchins, so I started wondering where to go... Looking at The Fork, I noticed they recently had a great 40% off promotion. I checked some photos to see if they made pasta with sea urchins, noticed it, and immediately booked a table for four. Once we arrived, one of the waiters, friendly and pleasant, old-school Amunì, let us in. We decided to sit inside since it's 40 degrees in the shade in Palermo these days. There was air conditioning, but it could be better. We sat down and looked at the menus. Once we had a clear idea, we decided to order. A very kind lady recommended a mixed fried fish dish, and then we ordered: Two first courses with sea urchins; A busiate pasta with swordfish and eggplant; Grilled octopus served with mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious!!!!!! Truly exceptional. We also got a bottle of water and three Cokes... The discount was applied correctly, and we only paid €84.70. Highly recommended!!!!!
