Ristorante Osteria Agostiniana da Pippo In Forza d'agrò

A very beautiful, characteristic place located at the entrance to the village. The staff was courteous, but they didn't bring us a menu, so we weren't sure what to order and the prices. At the table, there was only the wine list. They recommended either the full menu or starting with appetizers and then continuing with first and second courses if we wanted to continue. We had two meat menus and one fish menu. The meat menu's appetizers were a bit disappointing, especially because there were very few hot dishes, and there were many cured meats and cheeses that you can easily eat at home whenever you want. The fish-based first courses were good, the two meat-based ones were good, and one was left over: penne with pepper, a sort of creamy cheese and pancetta dish. The pasta was overcooked, not to mention the sauce. They didn't explain the dishes they were bringing to the staff. We asked several times what the dish contained or what the ingredients were, and their response was, "Now ask in the kitchen." Several waiters kept coming by to ask us the same thing. As soon as we sat down, three of them asked us if we wanted water, even though we'd already said yes to the first waiter. It's better to ask more than not to be served. But I had the feeling of disorganization. Be careful if you order the shrimp, they're in their casings. I honestly don't know if I'd recommend it or go back. Maybe I'd recommend it to someone who wants to eat fish.

Excellent food, both in quantity and quality. From the wide selection of appetizers, first courses, second courses, sorbet treats, dessert, liqueurs, and coffee. Friendly, helpful, and pleasant. The only flaw is that not even a single dish from each course was described. You don't even have time to ask on the spot because they fly by (very efficiently). A very positive experience.

We got a table outside on the sunny terrace. The staff was courteous and friendly, but also very busy and in a hurry. The table was cleared rather carelessly, leaving the used ashtray and wine cooler behind. The food arrived quickly, but it wasn't what I had ordered. The language barrier was probably the problem, but I showed them a picture of the dish from their menu. The food was basically okay and recommendable if you're eating in this area. We were very pleased to receive a complimentary espresso and several other small items, as you can see in the picture. Thank you!

We chose the stockfish menu, which is available on Fridays. Generous and tasty portions. A wide variety of delicious appetizers. The two first courses were excellent. The sorbet, desserts, and liqueurs rounded out the menu. Friendly and pleasant service. Welcoming place. Recommended

Fantastic seafood menu. We ate at the hotel since the osteria was closed. All this for €40 per person.

We returned to this restaurant after a while and were truly satisfied. The freshest fish dishes and flavorful first courses are served, with attention to every detail. The service is quick and courteous, and at the end of the meal they offer small desserts and liqueurs, a truly appreciated gesture. The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming; I recommend it without hesitation!

90% of the food was excellent, with a few things to look out for, but it was really good. The service was fast, friendly, and pleasant. Space was a bit limited (it was a rainy day), but the location was beautiful.

A truly royal experience at Osteria L'Agostiniana! Reading some of the negative reviews, I can hardly believe it, because we were treated divinely. The seafood menu was excellent: endless appetizers (both raw and cooked, each one better than the last), mind-blowing first courses, including a well-deserved second helping of spaghetti with clams and mussels, and finally, delicious, perfectly cooked fish main courses. The grand finale was a triumph: sparkling wine, sorbet, gelato, and ricotta razor clams. Honorable mention for the hospitality at the end of the meal: they leave five bottles of liquor at your table so you can serve yourself and choose your favorite. An old-fashioned gesture that will be remembered. I will definitely be back!

I haven't eaten here in a while, and I'm not just keeping the full 5 stars because I can't give them 6. Compared to the last time I ate here, I noticed a leap in quality, savoring everything that came. Respectful and attentive customer service.
