03/06/2025: To start this review, I must comment on the dishonest business practices of this hotel after a very poor stay, the worst we have ever encountered in Italy. We left the hotel after one night of a three night booking. The room was significantly below the standard for a 4 star hotel. After leaving the hotel, the hotel called me and offered a refund of "50% of the third night" of our stay and sent the attached legal release of claims. If you read the document, you will see that they offered 300 Euro for a gag order so that I could not post a review on Trip Advisor or any other site. They had this legal document ready to go and clearly use this strategy to "buy off" guests with bad experiences to make their reviews look better online. There was never any contrition from the hotel for our bad experience and in my many years of travelling I have never encountered this lack of integrity and total disregard for whether we actually enjoyed our stay. I would prefer that other travellers are able to avoid this hotel and its manager. We paid 1400 euro for a three night stay in May for a Double with Seaview including parking. It was a very hot stay and the air conditioning did not work properly in the room. The vents were incredibly dusty and the filter clearly had not been cleaned in some time. We requested a fan from the desk three times and were refused. Overall the room was dirty and dingy and stuffy with poor air quality. The mattress was incredibly lumpy and uncomfortable and we struggled to sleep our one night there. The linens felt like plastic. The room was much smaller than the photos online and it was difficult for two people to move around. Many of the fixtures in the room and bathroom were cracked, chipped, and very worn. In sum, the room was very worn, dated, and needs refurbishment. The hotel also full charged my stay 3 weeks ahead of time despite their policy only being 7 days prior to arrival, a further dishonest business practice, coupled with a no cancellation policy (which can be waived by a hotel but which they chose to enforce). We returned to our prior hotel in Noto where we had excellent service and were able to salvage the remainder of our trip. Stay clear of any hotel asking you for a GAG ORDER and having such little respect for their guests. With so many options in the area, you should skip this hotel.

05/05/2025: The hotel is incredibly well located. It is old and has a lot of charm. Reception is excellent. Very helpful. Recommendations for dinner were excellent. Breakfast is great. You can order a hot item from the kitchen and or enjoy the excellent buffet. There were some special treats at breakfast. Overall, all things considered, would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

08/05/2025: A true temple of Messina cuisine! Finally I was able to taste the real chop, like I used to! The lamb and starters are also excellent. A special mention for the kindness of Pasquale and his brother! Otherwise recommended

09/03/2025: I'll start by saying that I had never been there and I must say that I was very surprised by the variety of foods offered in the starters and the quality obviously no less. We booked for 8 and we all appreciated the good food proposed by the chef including the dessert which finally wasn't packaged but handcrafted, specifically a mimosa cake, a profitterol and a panna cotta, all three very good, the place was very quiet, a location not far out of town but quiet and away from city traffic, all in all a good experience, low costs.

24/04/2025: Very good pizzas, apart from the pan pizza which traditionally should be greasy and almost fried underneath, but this one was dry and undercooked, almost like bread. Takes a little long just to bring the drinks. But the place is welcoming and the pizzas are really very good.

23/05/2025: Fish dishes that are poetry made food. Lots of care and creativity and top quality products - including wine. For celiacs a safe and dreamy haven!

19/05/2025: Excellent fish prepared and presented in a creative and impeccable way. Excellent service and hospitality. Elegant and refined environment where tasting the chosen dishes is a pleasure.

15/05/2025: A well deserved 5 stars. Food and service was good, and the owner (?) provided music with his guitar for our baby and toddler which was great. It rained when we left, so he provided us with ponchos for protection

25/05/2025: Overall a great experience, from the sushilian foooorse maybe I expected a little more, the raw fish was excellent. We also tried the fregola, which next time I will take as a main course because I liked it a lot. The girls in the dining room together with the owner are very competent and kind, (difficult to find these qualities in the dining room staff lately..). Thank you 🙏🏻

20/05/2025: A truly great restaurant. It's worth going here if you're in Pisa. The food is a blend of traditional cuisine, fine dining, and molecular cuisine—without being pretentious. You feel very comfortable. The prices are honestly too low for this quality. A real insider tip.

06/05/2025: Siamo stati a cena con gli amici durante una vacanza ad Agrigento e per caso siamo stati ospiti di questo locale; alla fine della cena, abbiamo continuato a ripeterci fra noi di quanto siamo stati fortunati a fare questa esperienza presso questa osteria ! Vale in assoluto il viaggio ad Agrigento per farsi deliziare dalla loro proposta ! L'unica cosa che posso dire a tutto lo staff è: complimenti, siete meravigliosi !

06/05/2025: An unseren zwei Abenden in Agrigent haben wir in der Osteria gegessen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen ist köstlich, sizilianische Küche. Die Preise sind absolut angemessen. Absolute Empfehlung. Es empfiehlt sich eine Reservierung.

31/05/2025: I didn't know this place and I have to say that I was very satisfied. We were guests at a communion with a fixed menu and all the courses were exceptional. High quality fresh products, attentive service and welcoming staff. I highly recommend

Proprietario simpatico e molto disponibile.Abbiamo mangiato molto bene , una caponata speciale un buon cus cus di pesce ed una freschissima grigliata ,per chiudere con una pistacchiella ( dolce per golosi ) straordinaria !!!!! Tutto buono ! Vino tipico del posto niente male Personale gentilissimo e per niente invadente ! Prezzo super abbordabile !!!! Provare per credere !

05/04/2025: I haven't been so satisfied in a long time. Absolutely fantastic appetizer - mussels with gorgonzola and then the main course - spaghetti with mussels. It was a chef's concept of a concert. I highly recommend it to everyone!!!
