07/04/2026: Back after 3 years, and I wonder why I don't come more often??? Highly recommended..... This is the review from 3 years ago: Back after almost twenty years... the place has improved greatly. Courteous, even friendly, and fast service. Tiziano, the guy who welcomed us, explains the dishes and recommends the wine with a detailed description of their characteristics. Top-notch cuisine!!! Delicious dishes; pasta cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly (spaghetti with clams and bottarga was super, tonnarelli allo scoglio was exceptional), fried food dry and fragrant, the main course (the tuna Cagliari-style) was a riot of aromas... fair price... I had to ask myself a question: why did I wait 20 years to come back???? TOP TOP TOP

31/03/2026: Amazing food, always super fresh fish! The fried fish is crispy and plentiful, as are all the other dishes. If you want to eat a truly foodish suckling pig, this is the place! One of the few restaurants where I always feel welcomed and pampered.

15/01/2026: I returned after a couple of years, remembering the excellent dishes and the warm welcome from Luca, the owner. This was also a wonderful culinary experience. Excellent, unusual dishes, accompanied by a selection of Sardinian wines that are difficult to find elsewhere. We had fish dishes. Next time we'll try the meat. The price is proportionate to the quality and originality of the dishes. Highly recommended!

02/01/2026: On January 1, 2026, we once again had lunch at Bentu & Soi, a restaurant where we are regulars. Luca, an excellent restaurateur, welcomed us on a special day—New Year's Eve lunch—with very little advance notice from us. He served us with rare professionalism and showcased all his technical and local knowledge in his delicious, truly excellent dishes. You can tell the quality of the food is the result of nearly twenty years of experience, but above all, of constant attention to improving techniques and attention to detail. On a cold December day, Luca warmed us with his humanity and empathy, but also his kindness, which were greatly appreciated. We will continue to be his loyal customers and delight in his corner of Sardinian paradise in Rome. Highly recommended!!! Patrizio & Family

10/04/2026: We had dinner here last night, which was our first night in Rome, and thoroughly enjoyed the carbonara (me) and the gnocchi special (my wife). We will be here for a week and liked it enough that we will probably try it once more before we leave. Definitely recommend.

07/04/2026: Excellent dishes, we had the scampi cream risotto, which was delicious, as was the fried fish, and the Dolmen appetizer was delicious. The place is small but well-kept, I recommend it.

21/12/2025: A top-quality seafood lunch, the chef's selection of appetizers is always a delight: the freshest tuna, swordfish with melon, octopus carpaccio, and fried baby octopus—a true delight. For our second course, we had the Catalan-style lobster, a true feast for the eyes and the taste buds, as it resembled a painting. The apple dessert with cream, mille mele, was so good I ordered a second portion, accompanied by tozzetti and typical Sardinian sweets. To accompany the meal, Vermentino di Gallura wine, served at the perfect temperature. What can I say... a place that feels like a family. The price is in line with the quality offered, and reflects a menu designed with care and passion.

15/03/2026: Superb raw materials, both from the sea and the land! Excellent and plentiful raw food, (Corn cob, red shrimp, and Sardinian oysters were top-notch) Fregola pasta with fish, delicious and plentiful.... Pork and Vermentino wine were fantastic! I would also like to mention the sincere kindness, friendliness, and professionalism of the owners and waiters!!! Highly recommended! Full steam ahead! Luca P

06/03/2026: DIVINE experience, the dishes are culinary experiences that take you far away, you travel with every bite. Turbot like I've never tasted, truly thrilling! Thank you for the love and passion you put into it, you made me happy. The only downside? The acoustics, the diners next to me told beautiful stories that I listened to even though I didn't want to 😅🤣 what loud voices! But everything else is truly worth experiencing.

29/03/2026: After eating lots of the 4 Roman pastas over previous days, I felt like some lighter fare for dinner, so visited Sapori Sardi to get some seafood. The Sardinian backdrop comes through, with fantastic flatbread and marinated anchovies as a starter. These were excellent. For mains I went with the seafood risotto which – depending on your perspective – had very delicate flavours, or was a bit lacking in flavour. It was also a little sparse in seafood, with a couple of prawns, a handful of vongole shells (not sure I saw vongole), and four or five mussels. The rice was cooked well, and it was very filling. But I’m not sure it was there with the best seafood risotto I’ve eaten around the world. The staff were very helpful and friendly – my Italian is terrible, and I got the impression their English was not great, but we bumbled our way through, and finished up with a limoncello as a thank you as I was paying the bill. All up, great to have some seafood for a change, but not sure I would rush back for the risotto.

15/03/2026: What a wonderful restaurant. I'm a restaurateur and I have to say I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Kudos to the staff, the food is truly excellent and the guys are fabulous. Highly recommended. I'll be back with friends.

26/02/2026: It was a good experience. We went for lunch on Sunday and had fregola with mussels and clams and grilled fish. The fregola reminded us of Sardinia—excellent. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
