i have been in rome for a week and tried many, many different restaurants and this one was the best. BY FAR. authentic food and service. the staff was so welcoming and helpful. there was not one thing i didn’t love at this restaurant. 10/10 recommend. must visit

We just got into Rome and this was close. Joseph was a wonder host, had to help my husband in because of his wheel chair. Other patrons jumped in to help. The food and service was wonderful. We will visit with him again before we leave. When in Rome stop in to eat. You will be pleased.

My wife and I were vacationing in Rome and our hotel was close to this awesome place. The food was just fantastic. We had the opportunity to experience true Sardinian food. This family owned restaurant is a hidden gem that I would HIGHLY recommend ! Everything from the appetizers through the dessert was a treat to the tastebuds! Thank you L’isola!! ❤️

I've been going there for years, and aside from the absolutely courteous service, I've always had a great time. The restaurant itself isn't the prettiest, but the food is good.

We were greeted in a charming and delightful manner by Joseph the owner. We placed ourselves entirely in his hands so that we might experience the best the restaurant offered. We were rewarded with a wonderful evening of food and hospitality. Each dish in succession was a delicious experience leaving us happily expectant of our next course. This family owned and operated restaurant truly checked every box for us.

The owner was friendly and the atmosphere was great. The Sardinian seafood dishes and wine were delicious and top notch. I'd love to come back next time I'm in Rome!! Personally, the mussels pasta was especially tasty! Grazie! Era Buonissimo!!

Canne al Vento

29/04/2026: Today, since it was my parents' wedding anniversary, I decided to surprise them: I took them to the "Canne al Vento" restaurant. For starters, we had a sautéed mussels, baby octopus, grilled eggplant, and fish. Then, we moved on to the first course: my dad, mom, and I both decided on risotto with cream of scampi. Finally, for the second course, fried fish. So delicious :) We were so pleased we'll be back!! The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and kind. And my compliments also go to the chef, whom I thanked personally 😃😅. I wish the same to everyone!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT
30/03/2026: I return every year, even multiple times. Everything is excellent, starting with the varied and abundant appetizers. The staff is kind.
