11/10/2025: They told us they had happy hour on beers. When we had to pay, they refused to give us any happy hour price. They said they never have happy hour, whilst the guy outside calling people in kept yelling happy hour. A total scam. Dont go there.

04/10/2025: Well, let's start off with the service. They kind of forget that we were even here. They begged us to sit down in their restaurant, but yet forgot that we were there. Not sure but looks like the staff are all In d ians, not sure what that's all about. The lady seemed to rush through our order. Then, they left us like we weren't here anymore. It would have been lovely to have been asked if we needed something more to drink as we struggled through their super dry schnitzel. The food, pretty decently close to German food, but not really what I remember from my time living in Bavaria. Overall, the experience was ok but the service needs some work. Ok, I'm writing this the day after eating there and my wife and I are deathly ill after eating the wienerschnitzel. Do yourself a favor and don't eat here

09/11/2025: My partner and I went to dinner yesterday. It took us at least half an hour to order, but once we did, the dishes arrived quickly. The staff was helpful and welcoming. The place is very large, hosting various events, including unlimited entrees and reasonably priced appetizers. We ordered two tomato bruschettas and one with olive pâté. They were good, but the bread was too thick and not toasted enough. We also ordered a large platter for two, served with Milanese salami, ventricina, cheeses, ham, speck, mortadella with pistachios, and eggplant and ham in oil. Everything was really good. The carbonara had a delicious creaminess, perfectly cooked pork cheek, and a well-cooked egg, not a raw one like so many other restaurants. My partner thought the amatriciana was good, but I didn't really like it because of the cherry tomatoes in the middle. The grilled meat was good and tasty. Good coffee and for dessert the classic homemade tiramisu, delicious to say the least.

08/11/2025: We spent a classy evening dining in a very spacious setting both inside and out... We had arranged a set menu for the kids and for us adults, with various grilled dishes and side dishes! The meat was good... it's a shame the service was a bit slow, especially between the children's first and second courses... but it was a particularly busy evening, and the wait was made up for by the entertainment for the little ones, which was effective, fun, and engaging!

03/11/2025: A decidedly negative experience. Aside from one very kind and helpful waiter, the rest of the staff was rude and unprofessional. When we reported a problem with the pasta and asked for a new portion, the wait staff reacted inappropriately, acting rude and unwilling to listen. In the end, they left us without our plates, and 10 minutes after it was taken away, they offered to have the original plate back or pay for a new one (which, incidentally, was still charged to us even though we hadn't eaten it due to its poor quality). As if that weren't enough, after ordering a second course, we were brought a first course, and the overall wait was truly interminable. For such service, the prices seem completely unjustified—€5 for bread alone is a prime example. However, the courtesy and politeness of the staff, even at home, definitely needs improvement...

26/10/2025: I could say that the food is good, because it is true, although they sold us a meat that was not what we ordered, when they brought the bill, we told them and even before, they still said that it was what we had ordered, which was a lie, in the end they corrected the price on the bill, but we had to be very careful so that they did not charge us more, which they tried to do up to 2 times. If you go, be careful

27/10/2025: The truth is, I've traveled to Italy more than 20 times over the course of more than 20 years and eaten in countless restaurants, and with all due respect, my food could have been much better. After paying €18 for a plate of spaghetti, neither the flavor nor the quantity was what I expected. My daughter's spaghetti Bolognese was well-served and tasty, but mine and my girlfriend's Pescatore were both in agreement that the portions weren't exactly the same and that they were rather small. However, the place is nice, quiet, and clean, on a quiet street, despite being close to the Trevi Fountain. The service was fast and good, and the bread was very good, too. The Aperol Spritz had too much Prosecco and barely tasted of Aperol. The prices are average for the area, though they don't charge for the cover like they do in other places; they just charge for the service.

15/10/2025: Only one waiter was nice and friendly. The rest was not very nice. Normal food They charge 7.5€ for bread as a "service"

11/10/2025: We went for dinner last night, there were six of us. The food was good, and the waiters were quick despite the restaurant being packed. Pinsa, porcini mushrooms, artichokes, a trio of fried dishes, cod with chickpeas, saltimbocca, and tagliata—all delicious. The price was fair.

12/09/2025: The place is cute, well-decorated, and the staff is always smiling and friendly. It's definitely better for an aperitif or after-dinner drink. The food quality, however, is unsatisfactory. The cured meats and cheeses are of average-to-low quality, and the fried foods are very greasy and heavy. We'll try it again for an after-dinner drink.

17/10/2025: Pleasant welcome. Friendly and fast service. Good food, especially the pasta. Ideally located 5 minutes from St. Peter's Square. Good value for money.

13/10/2025: The food is, on best, average. Not very well seasoned. Suppli are made in-home, according to the menu, problably then deepfrozen for half a year before being used. Seafood with a lot of great juice, but you get charged 3 euro for stale bread. The saltimbocca and steak are good. When you order a bottle of prosecco, it is served luke-warm. Desserts are OK. Waiter is hurrying customers to order, drink and eat. The location and atmosphere is fantastic, so they will probably be in operation long after I die.

23/09/2025: Friendly restaurant with a pleasant terrace, ideal for a snack after visiting the Colosseum and the gardens. The food is good.

20/10/2025: Pasta, chianti wine and aperol spritz were delicious - classic Italian fare done well. Great service with excellent English. Menu is clearly marked with allergens. They offer gluten free pasta and pizza (and the gluten free pasta was lovely). Atmosphere on the patio in the little piazza was heavenly.

16/06/2025: Très agréablement surpris de trouver cette très bonne adresse dans ce quartier, la clientèle locale ne s’y trompe pas, elle vient nombreuse. La cuisine est assez élaborée, le service attentionné et les prix raisonnables.

30/03/2025: Cena con famiglia. Ordinati 4 primi: 2 carbonare, 1 tonnarello cacio e pepe e un’amatriciana… tutti talmente salati che sembravano cotti nell’acqua di mare! Sicuramente non assaggiati dal cuoco. Impossibile finire la portata. Mai più.

17/08/2025: And the service was terrible. We waited an hour yesterday for fried fish. They only brought us fried calamari and very little, no other fish. For 15 euros, my brothers ordered pasta with 4 cheeses. It was useless. White pasta with disgusting cream cheese. Dirty water glasses. Guys, I never make mistakes. I've made the same mistakes, and the place is incredibly hot. It's closed, there's no air, shame on you 😒

27/06/2025: Great place, well hidden in a maze of narrow streets. I got there because I saw where I wanted to go. I recommend - traditional Roman cuisine. NOT Italian, Roman! Good ingredients, good prices, good wine. Menu written in chalk, several dishes with currently available ingredients, which guarantees freshness. Service cordial and smiling. There are no fireworks, but there is authentic simplicity, in which the beauty of this place lies. It's a shame not to leave a tip.

11/08/2025: We went to this restaurant based off of the recommendations from online reviews and Anthony Bourdains travel series. THIS IS NOT the restaurant that people are recommending. While appearances on the outside are the same, the sign above the door still reads Trattoria Settimio and the website and phone number still read Trattoria Settimio, once we were sat down we realized the menu and place mats had a different restaurants name. Not till after did we see a lone review that noted that the restaurant was sold and has changed hands. Food and service was decent but it seems that they are using the likeness and reputation of the Anthony Bourdain recommendation to garner customers.

17/10/2025: I'm back after almost 30 years. I used to come here as a child with my family and to eat with friends in high school. If you're looking for a real Roman restaurant, leave the city center and go to a place that hasn't sold itself to "poshness." Roman pizzerias are like this: a casual atmosphere, a varied menu, generous portions, good food, reasonable prices... less show, more substance.

02/06/2025: Sono andato con dei miei amici, dopo aver visto Sinner al tennis al foro italico ci abbiamo tantissima fame erano le 22:45 per fortuna ci hanno ospitato pizza buonissima, sottile alla romana per sbaglio un mio amico gli si è rotto il bicchiere ed è andato sulla pizza del mio amico e mia, per fortuna e stavamo per finire ce ne hanno date due senza farle pagare. Bagno, condizioni penose. Del resto, locale romano.

08/05/2025: Trattoria romana storica del quartiere Prati. Personale gentile e disponibile. Atmosfera retrò che ispira tradizione Ottimi arancini e fiori di zucca casarecci. Ottima pizza sottile e ben condita cotta nel forno a legna. La birra è in bottiglia. Spero che questi locali di una volta restino ancora a lungo.

18/10/2025: We hosted a reception for 25 guests to celebrate our daughter's graduation thesis, and it was a real success. The quality of the food was excellent, both the savory and the desserts. The variety and quality of the cocktails were also remarkable. And the cake topping was a true masterpiece in its deliciousness and balance. All this was accompanied by attentive and courteous service in a quiet and private setting. Thanks to Bar Benaco for a wonderful evening on such an important day for us.
