14/08/2025: I'll go by points to try to be objective: Food: far from Roman cuisine. The same seasoning as the bruschetta is found in the spaghetti with clams (with onion). The service was more focused on watching TV than on the service. Ambience: A family atmosphere, but after a while, you felt like you were in the way.

28/10/2025: Calling it a wine bar is an understatement. I had the pleasure of discovering this place because some colleagues were hosting a dinner on a Friday after work. The place is very well-kept and the atmosphere is relaxing. The background music is just the right volume, allowing us to chat without having to raise our voices. The menu is varied and delicious, the portions are generous, and the food is delicious. Even those who, like me, have allergies or digestive issues will find an owner (and chef) who strives to find a compromise without completely changing the dish ordered. Two things worth mentioning: the owners' expertise in recommending wines and their approach to the customer, which makes each course a true treat. An evening worth repeating. Highly recommended, even for a romantic dinner.

30/11/2025: I returned years after the review below (post-Covid) and the new owners had ruined it. The most disastrous dinner of my life. If the current owners aren't the same as in 2021, then great. But I would change the name if that's the case. -- Excellent. We had the chips as a starter—homemade and delicious—and two pasta dishes. One was carbonara, which was amazing, and the other, a daily special, was homemade fettuccine with Italian bacon, zucchini, and cream cheese. The pasta was incredible, some of the best we've ever had. With dessert and drinks, it came to €20. Very affordable in Rome for such good quality and flavor. Furthermore, the service, the attention to detail in the presentation of the dishes, and the decor of the restaurant were all excellent. Highly recommended, and we will definitely return.

01/03/2026: I gave it 3 stars because there isn't much variety for each course, and the restaurant is so smokey that it makes your eyes burn. On the plus side, the food is very good and the service is very friendly. I would gladly return if the smoke were gone.

25/01/2026: A true Roman trattoria, rustic and welcoming, serving delicious, home-cooked dishes with a timeless flavor. The young woman who served us was extremely kind and friendly. A discovery we'll definitely return to if we ever return to this area.

08/03/2026: Rude remarks made in italian infront of my family assuming we didn't speak Italian. Stressed energy coming from the service team. Overall a disappointing experience.

21/02/2026: Upon returning to the apartment nearby, after several attempts to exchange cash for the €2 missing from the deposit, we tried to change it at Hostaria da Pietro. Since we didn't have any cash to change, a waitress gave us the money out of her own pocket. If it weren't for the fact that we have to go home tomorrow, we would definitely have stopped by to try their cuisine. Nothing like this has ever happened before. 08/06/2025: Este restaurante es una joya del barrio. Si quieres una comida fantástica que esté lejos de las trampas turísticas, visita Al Viminale. Todo lo que pedimos estaba muy bien cocinado, era súper fresco, y delicioso. ¡Debo intentarlo en Roma!

01/06/2025: Pudimos reservar una mesa aquí antes de nuestra llegada a Roma, que era conveniente. El personal es amable y servicial. La comida era buena. Necesitábamos recordarles una guarnición, pero no le restó valor a la experiencia.

08/04/2026: Easter lunch, despite having warned them several times by text, I'm unable to provide a vegetarian alternative (vegetarian, no vegan, fruitarian) worthy of the name. The usual cheese appetizer, after reminding them of it several times, and a terrible main course consisting mostly of salad and some Ikea-style balls, I think made of soy, that tasted awful. Being a fixed menu, €45 seemed inconsistent with the offer, especially since it took so little to create excellent main courses (what do I know... an artichoke soufflé? A small parmigiana? A poached egg and asparagus?).

03/04/2026: I dined here with two other people on a Thursday evening, so it was quiet and not crowded. The place is beautiful, with plenty of space inside and out, where, when the weather is nice and mild, it must be lovely to eat. The service was quick but not rushed. We ordered the fried meatballs, double-breaded, which were very good. Then there was the scampi risotto (a bit runny), the coratella (offal) with artichokes, and the carbonara: everything was very good. The coratella wasn't at all oily, it was soft and juicy, and the flavors blended well. The carbonara was perfect. For dessert, we tried the pistachio cheesecake and crème caramel: both were delicious. I haven't found a cheesecake like this in Italy in years, although the pistachio topping probably contained a bit of liqueur, which I personally don't like, but it was still good and something different. I recommend it.

26/03/2026: Bizarre, I called 4 weeks ago and asked the lady if she spoke English. I could make a reservation for one person for lunch on March 26th. Yes, there I stood, and simply put, they never take reservations for lunch?!?? Walked for miles. Rain and hail, but I couldn't have lunch. How disappointing from this restaurant..

15/02/2026: Excellent trattoria! The food is typically Italian and very good. The service is also excellent and they try their best to accommodate requests. Even as a guest who doesn't speak Italian, you still feel very welcome, and they make every effort to communicate. Tip – be sure to try the house wine!

01/04/2026: They're trying to sell rotten and foul-smelling meat. The staff are very rude. Don't go there. If possible, don't even walk past it! Additional note: The business's response was completely misleading. They refused to acknowledge the meat's foul odor and demanded payment. Offering alternative solutions and other such things was completely deceptive.

30/12/2025: The food was good, but when ask for the bill they charged us extra for things we did not order. Adding 30 euros to our bill. So if you come here make sure you all for a detailed bill and do not pay before reviewing it!!!

08/12/2025: Always a pleasure Even today, my husband Alfredo and I ate wonderful mixed grill and tripe at Romoletto. Everyone was very kind and very quick despite the crowds. You are a guarantee.
