02/06/2025: Okay, I don't really write a lot of reviews. This place is amazing. Get the amatriciana and the eggplant bruchette. Best meal we had in rome. Don't mess around with those other places and come here 10/10!

24/05/2025: The food was delicious - we ordered the beef filet with gorgonzola sauce, amatriciana pasta and deep fried zucchini flowers. Food came out within 10-15 mins and our server, Manuel, was an absolute legend. Hilarious and capable, he made the entire experience so much better and so much more memorable! We literally hugged him at the end of the night haha. What a great time, I can’t recommend enough!

24/05/2025: It was close to the Airbnb where I was staying, so I decided to drop by. It's a restaurant further back down a back alley. There were a few groups in line, but the turnover was fast and we were able to get in easily. We had antipasto, primo, and secondo! All the food was delicious, and the staff were all friendly in the morning. I really felt that the taste of the food can change depending on the service. We stayed in Rome for four nights, but it was a restaurant that made me want to go back again. Three bottles of wine for my husband and I was overdoing it! We got some takeaway. 🤣

06/06/2025: An enjoyable meal, with nice setting. The restaurant was recommend by a local so thought we would try it out. The small menu still had varied fresh options. The grill octopus was very tasty, however the meal could have been bigger with some carbs added something to the dish.

25/05/2025: If you want a homely experience, this is it. Don't expect fine dining or food specially designed to please your visual cravings, but oh boy do they please your taste buds! We were happy to have been suggested to take the suckling pig as a starter, which my wife and I shared. It reminded us so much of the 'hanzirata', or pig feast you'd find in Malta, with a nice touch of pecorino sauce to top it off. The cook was sublime! We then took a Carbonara - like most restaurants in Rome, a speciality - and Fettuccine with Ox Tail Ragu. Both really tasty dishes and nicely portioned! Oh, and the house wine is cheap and great! Nice surprise, highly recommended!

27/05/2025: I visited Ristorante (restaurant) that opened in 1860 near Via Veneto for dinner because it serves classic Roman cuisine. I made a reservation using Google Maps, but it didn’t matter if I didn’t. I was worried because I hadn’t looked up anything in advance, but the menu was compact and easy to order. However, since it’s in an expensive neighborhood, the prices were quite high. I ate a lot for lunch that morning, so I ordered just one antipasti and one pasta. I drank white wine to match the food, and since I was in Rome, I drank Lazio wine, which is typical of Rome. For the pairing, it was a daily wine made of Chardonnay with a touch of oak, so it went well overall. It was dry and mineral, so it went especially well with pasta. For the antipasti, I chose veal carpaccio, which is like secondo. I put arugula and pears on top of thin veal tenderloin without any fat, and as you can tell from the very simple visual, the taste was also light. Since it was veal and the part was tenderloin, the savory flavor and meatiness were a bit weak, but the texture was very soft, so the presence of arugula and pears was greatly felt. It would have been better if I had added a little pepper, but I just ate it. I tried vongole spaghetti for pasta, and it was surprisingly buttery. It was different from the vongole I knew before, which had a strong clam savory flavor and a spicy taste that stung my nose. Since it was spaghetti, the noodles absorbed the soup well enough to cover it, but it didn't leave my mouth feeling oily. I thought of carbonara with a little exaggeration, and it was clear that it didn't taste like the vongole I expected.

19/05/2025: As lovers of good food, we were looking for a characteristic place that would let us taste the real Roman cuisine, and here we found it. Everything we ordered was excellent: a taste of oxtail stew and tripe, puntarelle and a palette of first courses. Everything was delicious! The idea of ​​offering tastings of all the dishes so that you can try more dishes was excellent. Suggestive atmosphere, kind and attentive service. The price is perhaps a little high but it is really worth it, you can taste the quality in the dishes. We will definitely be back.

19/05/2025: Super disappointing. The amatriciana was way too acidic and lacked depth in the flavors. The tasting sides are a great idea but I didn't like any of the sides - we tried pork and beans, chicory, and egg frittata.

17/05/2025: We didn't have a reservation, but they found us a spot. The food was delicious. We ordered a glass of red wine and they served us a delicious one. The waiters were very friendly and professional. It's on a street near the Colosseum, but away from the tourist crowds.

11/05/2025: Very well located restaurant, a few steps from the Colosseum, ideal for eating after the visit. The food is quite good, with well presented dishes. The attention was pleasant at all times and the staff was very helpful. On the negative side, they offer the option of eating on the terrace, but the tables are too close together, which makes the experience not as comfortable or intimate as one would expect. Even so, it is a good option if you are looking for a well-located place with good food in the heart of Rome.

17/04/2025: We were the only guests and were treated very courteously at first. As primo we had gnocchi, which was good. The waitress recommended it to us as one portion for both of us, but this was then ignored in the kitchen. I got the main course together with the starter, the steak was tough and dry, my wife's main course was forgotten and had to be reordered. You couldn't bite the veal schnitzel, it was so tough. In the kitchen there was still gossip about the Germans They thought we didn't understand. We left hungry with a bill of almost 70 euros.
