The welcome is warm, the servers are friendly and quick to laugh. Most importantly, the food is truly excellent. For a first meal in Italy, no regrets whatsoever, quite the opposite. The chef is as friendly as he is talented.

Without a doubt, this was the best meal we had during our entire stay in Rome, and that’s coming from someone who is not easily impressed when it comes to food and dining experiences. I tend to be a very tough critic and pay close attention to every detail, from the quality of the food to the service, atmosphere, and overall value. It’s rare for a restaurant to exceed my expectations across the board, but this place managed to do exactly that. From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The welcome was warm and genuine, the staff were attentive without being intrusive, and there was an immediate sense that we had stumbled upon somewhere special. The atmosphere felt authentic and relaxed, a refreshing contrast to many of the tourist-focused restaurants found throughout the city center. The food itself was exceptional. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. You could tell that great care and pride went into every plate that left the kitchen. Each course seemed better than the last, and every bite reminded us why Italy is famous for its culinary traditions. Nothing felt rushed, mass-produced, or designed simply for tourists. What makes this restaurant so special is that it requires you to step away from the obvious tourist areas. Too many visitors stay within the well-known parts of Rome and end up eating at restaurants that cater primarily to tourists rather than focusing on authentic cuisine. Taking the time to venture beyond those tourist traps led us to this remarkable hidden gem, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Rome is filled with restaurants, cafés, and trattorias, making it difficult to know where to eat. After several meals around the city, this was the one that stood out above all the others. The combination of outstanding food, excellent service, welcoming atmosphere, and authentic local character created a truly memorable experience. As someone who is genuinely difficult to impress, I can honestly say that every aspect of this meal exceeded expectations. If you are visiting Rome and want a dining experience that captures everything great about Italian hospitality and cuisine, make the effort to seek out this remarkable restaurant. It was the clear standout of our trip and a place we would happily return to again and again. Highly recommended.

It's always a pleasure to return to a welcoming trattoria like Luca's. The menu is so extensive that you can try new flavors every time, though it must be said that his carbonara with homemade paccheri is a flawlessly executed classic that's irresistible. Another highlight is the variety of vegetables you can sample: Roman broccoli cacio e pepe, mixed farmer's vegetables, puntarelle with pistachio pesto, or even delicious escarole fritters with pecorino cheese... all fabulous dishes. I could spend hours praising the mastery of this talented chef, but I think you have to try it to understand... I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a delicious meal in a charming internal courtyard!

Luca's trattoria is located in a charming corner of San Lorenzo, a truly special place with a lovely outdoor garden filled with plants and soft, romantic lighting. It's a comfortable setting with only a few tables, which creates an intimate, romantic atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and quick, and the owner is also very polite. The food is pleasant, but in my opinion, it could be better. Recommended for a pleasant evening.

This was the best pasta we ate during our stay in Rome. It seems to be a place more popular with locals than tourists. It was a really lovely experience. The dishes are reasonably priced and very generous!

Excellent food, very kind and helpful waitresses. The only minor point, perhaps a small one, was that the owner (I think it was) seemed a little nervous or agitated at times, but nothing that ruined the experience in any way. Everything was truly excellent, highly recommended.

We stopped at this restaurant because it was on the way to our destination. The lunch was truly excellent; we shared a generous appetizer and, to finish, two exquisite first courses. The atmosphere was quiet, rustic yet welcoming, ideal for lunch.
