08/03/2025: I had the Cacio e Pepe, and my friend had the Ragu. Being Americans, we missed the memo where you split a pasta dish, and each order a second course. I guess we'll have to go back to Rome to do it right. These were the two best pasta dishes I've ever eaten. Be advised that there are about 5 tables inside and some small patio tables. Because the tables are all 4+ tops, if you are less than 4 in your party, you will be grouped at the table with strangers, but you will be served as seperate parties, so you are not waiting on someone trying to figure out what these dishes are since it's not the Olive Garden menu. When I go back to Rome, not if, I will be eating here again. Get there before 7pm when they open to get a table or wait for a second or third seating.

05/03/2025: The atmosphere of the place is generally nice. Unfortunately, I cannot say that the employees are very polite. Both pastas we ate were extremely salty. Maybe it's because of the cheese, I don't know, but this was the saltiest pasta we ate in Rome. This salt content prevented us from tasting the pasta. The portion was smaller than other restaurants I've been to. I think the waiters were upset because we couldn't get dessert to top the meal. There was limoncello served on top of the meal, which was nice.

12/03/2025: It was expensive but very delicious, I especially recommend the carpaccio, lobster pasta, and octopus steak. The house wine (white) was also very fragrant and went well with the food. The server was also kind and gentle. Kind of costly, but the quality was worth it. Strongly recommend octopus steak, but also carpaccio and lobster pasta was especially good too. Other dishes were also spectacular. House wine (white) did get along with all the dishes and had a very nice scent. Definitely one of the must visit restaurants in Rome. Service from the server was also very kind and good.

A warm setting, a caring boss, a team over the moon (despite the name 😜) and a good atmosphere! The truffle pasta is a real marvel, the tasty ravioli and the excellent tiramisu fresh... 🍝🍷🍰 Not forgetting the well-stocked wine cellar, ideal to accompany this feast from hell! 20/02/2025: A parte la posizione infelice il locale è molto datato e trascurato ed il menù comprende praticamente tutto dalla cucina romana alle pizze alla carne alla brace. Nulla però è curato e di qualità. La trippa era annegata nella stessa salsa di pomodoro dolciastra che poi abbiamo ritrovato con le polpette . Tutto servito frettolosamente e quasi freddo. Cacio e pepw condita con una salsa giallognola immangiabile. Costolette di agnello bruciacchiate e senza carne. Dolci da discount.

24/02/2025: Sunday lunch with a friend. I found this place while browsing the offers in the area, and out of curiosity I decided to try it. We ate very well, in a refined environment, in addition to a truly special service; where the customer is well advised by a trained and polite staff. Excellent quality of raw materials, traditional Abruzzo dishes with a good quality/quantity/price ratio. Places like this absolutely need to be valorised.

Completely different from tourist restaurants: very good food and service by Valerio, the waiter, really excellent. Recommended for stopping for lunch, you won't regret it. Greetings from Pavesi.

19/03/2025: We came for the carbonara, and stayed for the saltimbucca, which was so good my wife changed her ethics. In an area of the city where it is all too easy to fall into a tourist trap, Ristorante Arlù delivers a delightful and authentic Roman meal. Perfectly fried artichoke? Yes please. Tiramisu? I'll have two! It is a family-owned establishment and you can feel it. The conversations are lively and engaging and we couldn't have asked for a better dining experience for our first night out in Rome. Reservations are a must as the dining room is small and there are limited tables outside where smoking is quite common.

21/03/2025: Special food The seafood platter was great. I didn't like the picnic, it was a little tough for me, but the waiter didn't think twice and replaced it with a risotto with shrimp and it was excellent.

12/03/2025: The worst money spent so far and I have to say that I was excited to go here, reading the reviews. The only positive note were the supplì al telefono, for which I gave an extra star. If I had only ordered those it would have been the best Roman restaurant in Lecce, but that was not the case. I had the bad luck of ordering an amatriciana. Any peppered mussels, in its presence, paled in terms of salt. Inedible, the pepper overwhelmed any flavor, making the dish nauseating and numbing at the same time. Update (update) 12/03/2025 I am replying to the kind, but grammatically disconnected, reply to the review. I usually like to eat well and I know the basics of cooking. I usually never complain about food, but if I got to writing the review it is because I ate really badly on the first course side. If a person asks you to add little pepper because they have physical problems, so much so that they feel sick if there is too much, why care and flood the pasta with pepper? In the amatriciana, according to the Roman recipe that you probably don't know well, the majority must go to the meat and tomato. There is no need to make the dish inedible with an enormous amount of pepper. Furthermore, if there are so many positive reviews, I have my doubts that they are all real since, if you read carefully, the negative reviews are there. Maybe maybe you weren't in the kitchen or the staff was a little nicer when the positive reviews were added, otherwise I can't explain the expensive and merciless dinner I had that evening. I hope you can improve the service and the cuisine, as well as the education that, reading the comment, you really lack. I also advise you to write your comments better with better grammar. Have a good evening! 27/02/2025: We entered this place by chance, without having consulted the reviews, and we were pleasantly surprised. The welcome was warm and genuine, thanks to the kindness of the owners. In particular, the lady who takes care of the table service, as well as the owner of the place, won us over with her friendliness and her smile. We really appreciated the quality of the food: tasty and carefully prepared dishes, the prices are absolutely adequate for the offer, guaranteeing excellent value for money. Reading some negative reviews, we wondered if they were referring to the same place. Our experience was so positive that we find it difficult to believe certain criticisms and believe they are the result of misunderstandings, rather than real problems encountered in the restaurant. We will definitely be back!
