03/12/2025: One of the best restaurants in San Giovanni: their first courses are delicious (the homemade egg pasta, both with traditional Roman sauces and their own creations, is exquisite), and the desserts are tasty and satisfying. I've been there many times and they've never disappointed; the space is small but warm and welcoming. It's an ideal option for a dinner for two, a foursome of friends, or a family evening. Keep up the good work!
29/11/2025: A lovely place with friendly, attentive staff. Despite being busy, we waited a reasonable amount of time, and the service was quick. Be aware that the space is limited, and you should also consider that waiters also serve in the adjacent restaurant, which means the entrance door is constantly open (in winter, it gets cold).
Our dishes were well-prepared and not banal, and the bill was fair.

06/01/2026: I don't know if it was just me who would have eaten three more plates because it was so good, or if the portion was small, but in my opinion this was the best pasta I ate during my short time in Rome. Recommended by a Roman friend, I decided to try the gricia, it was phenomenal. Just thinking about it makes me hungry again 😂😂. The waitress who served us was very kind and even explained the specialties to us! Thank you so much.
05/01/2026: A place to return to. Great homemade food (the pasta and coda alla vaccinara were a 10/10), excellent service, and the atmosphere of an authentic Italian restaurant. They were very kind and attentive throughout our visit. Highly recommended!

12/01/2026: I stopped in when I was traveling in Rome. Unlike tourist spots, Sole & Luna was bustling with locals. It was a very refreshing sight to see regular customers shaking hands with the owner when they entered the restaurant, something you don't see very often in Japan.
Of course, the food was also delicious. The carbonara was very rich.

The appetizers were delicious, carefully crafted, and rich in flavor, but the true masterpiece was the carbonara: extraordinary, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere is relaxing, with pleasant but never intrusive background music, perfect for enjoying the evening. Impeccable service: waiters Silvano and Shejian were attentive, professional, and always friendly. An experience definitely worth repeating.
05/01/2026: We ordered burrata salad, artichoke a la romana, chicken a la romana , 'vegetables plate' (which eventually included just brocoli...), meatballs and tiramisù. The artichoke a la romana was excellent! The rest was good, not more. But prices were very high, especially comparing to other restaurants in this area. Not 5 stars restaurant unfortunately.

20/01/2026: A lovely trattoria in the center, with friendly staff and management. They even moved us to a nearby table to accommodate the generous appetizer. The first courses were good and plentiful. A good wine selection, though they don't have a Valtellina. ;)
19/01/2026: We had lunch at Gallinaccio by chance, a truly positive experience.
Carciofi alla romana for an appetizer, spaghetti all'amatriciana and mezze maniche alla gricia, and tiramisu for dessert.
Friendly host, fair prices, and right in the city center. Highly recommended. Excellent!

The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, ideal for sitting down and enjoying a quiet meal. Everything went smoothly and without long waits. It's not a fancy place, but it does its job very well. I left satisfied and with an overall good impression.

04/01/2026: We went there for New Year's Eve dinner. The online reservation worked without any problems. We were given a seat on a lovely swing by the window inside. The food was delicious and arrived after a reasonable amount of time.

Excellent dishes, with an authentic, traditional flavor, the service was impeccable (the owner explained the dishes and served us attentively), and the restaurant, like the rest, is reminiscent of the beautiful taverns of yesteryear. The price is absolutely in line with the quality. We felt welcomed and satisfied. A delightful lunch, we'll definitely be back!

30/12/2025: We came here on a Tuesday evening, no need to book we just walked in and they were so friendly.
Marion made sure we were at a table we wanted and he was so patient with us while we ordered and tried to understand the menu. The food came quickly and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. Couldn’t ask for a better evening.
