A few days in Rome, I was staying in a nearby hotel and didn't think I'd find such specialties in that area... I was pleasantly surprised, both by the food, the owner, and the kind young woman who recommended and then waited on us. Excellent.

A welcoming, non-touristy trattoria. This guarantees the quality of the cuisine. The service is friendly and attentive. The cacio e pepe, in particular, is superb!!!

We stopped for a quick lunch but discovered a delicious trattoria 😍... Homemade fettuccine with wild boar ragù was amazing 🤤...we'll be back very soon! Highly recommended and reasonably priced!

11/08/2026: Best restaurant in Rome. Ate there twice when we stayed in Rome. They set the bar very high for food and service, put everywhere else to shame. Arigo was the best waiter we've ever had!
09/08/2026: We loved the atmosphere, staff and of course the food so much that we ate here the next night too. The pasta dishes and the pizzas are all delicious!

Antica Trattoria al Gallinaccio

24/07/2026: I went here for dinner with my husband on our first night in Rome, and we are definitely considering going back again! 10/10 I can recommend. The service was really friendly, and even though the place was relatively full, the food came out quickly. I have never had such good pasta in my life! Wow!
22/07/2026: We were looking for a restaurant serving authentic and traditional food "romanesco", not for tourists. And likely this time CHAT GPT's advice was very good. We went on a Wednesday in July, at 7pm, there were some tables available. We were greeted by the waiters in a very friendly and warm way, felt immediately relaxed and at home. The food was spectacular, the service top, we can only recommend every tourist who want a genuine roman cousins experience to go to Al Gallinaccio! See you soon!
