The bacalao was absolutely delicious and looked fantastic. Unfortunately, it was served with potato chips, which, while good, were an odd choice. Regular roasted potatoes would have been much more suitable. But things are often different in Italy. Still, it was a strange combination. I'd gladly return for the bacalao and ask for a different side dish next time. Thankfully, it's not too touristy there; it's pleasantly quiet and cozy.

A great spot that's not far from the Vatican for a group lunch after a tour. We had 6 of us and got in right away. The AC was good, the food was delicious and the bathrooms were clean. I had the lasagna, my wife had spaghetti and another friend had the ceasar salad.

This place isn't bad. After a long search, we found it here. And we loved everything about it, with one small exception: my fish was too salty (about 20-30% more than it should be). But my wife's fish was very tasty. And a big thank you to the waiter Paolo. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

30/04/2026: Excellent cod. Even better pork. Very good pasta. Roman-style service, typical annoying European style.
28/04/2026: Excellent cuisine, definitely a top spot in Rome (but Romans know much more, these are the comments of a young lady from Piedmont who loves good food made with love and simple, authentic ingredients). My pasta carbonara was creamy, the perfect portion, and paired with a good Lazio wine, highly recommended by the staff (who were otherwise very kind, helpful, and attentive). The appetizers were also very good, accompanied by crusty, inviting bread. A truly excellent dinner, both for the palate and the mood. I highly recommend it, but make sure to book, as I believe it's impossible to get a table without a reservation.

13/05/2026: We went to the trattoria based on recommendations we received for good value for money, which is true. We faced a short queue, but the friendliness of the employee who greeted us made up for it. We sat outside, and the bonus was a view of the Colosseum. We ordered the tomato suppli as an appetizer (a fried rice ball), shrimp risotto, carbonara, and lasagna, accompanied by a liter of house red wine. The best dish was the carbonara, very tasty. The lasagna was very good. The risotto left much to be desired, including the seasoning, but especially because there was an expectation of having some shrimp in the dish and only 1 came. We found this very disappointing. They don't charge a cupperto or a fixed tip, you give what you think is best. The employees are really very kind and friendly and do everything for good service. It's the restaurant's biggest highlight. Regarding the environment, I deducted one star because of the bathroom, as there was only one stall available for everyone (creating a queue) and the tap didn't work (they connected a hose to a tap below to turn it on when washing hands). I believe they could have paid more attention to the cleanliness of the bathroom and to this tap issue.
13/05/2026: We loved everything, but the best thing was their house wine. One of the nicest we drank on this trip!
