02/06/2026: We had booked a table for two, and they seated us right away and brought us drinks right away. The service was top-notch. The waiters were very kind and helpful, and the food was divine. The appetizers and main courses were truly excellent, not to mention the Pan di Stelle tiramisu, which was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended.

Each course was thoughtful and flavorful, with generous portions and excellent value. The service was impeccable: fast, attentive, and professional. Special thanks to the staff, who stood out for their friendliness, cordiality, and helpfulness, making us feel welcomed like friends. It's rare to find a place that manages to combine good food, professionalism, and a family atmosphere so well. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended, we'll gladly return.

13/06/2026: I had lunch there and I can't help but write this review. The food is home-cooked, as if my mother had cooked it (and I rarely say that), and the prices are fair. The lady at the table is very friendly. I'll definitely be back.

08/04/2026: This is a historic trattoria we've been frequenting for several years (though less frequently than we should). Chef Paola's food is exceptional, as are all the owners' courtesy, and the place is well-kept and welcoming. We're not great wine connoisseurs and don't drink much, but when we do order wine, we ask Andrea for recommendations, and he's always given us excellent advice. We really miss the legendary fettuccine (especially the Idillio portions), which have become quite a challenge for Chef Paola, but the current menu has always left us very satisfied!

13/04/2026: Always a pleasure dining at La Torricella with Augusto’s yummy menu. Primarily fish on the menu, but does have vegetarian options and some meat options. His side dishes (contorni) are always various wild veggies that are delicious and we love the mezzo pacchero with little squid. Also the squid and artichoke meatballs are the best!

06/06/2026: Good service and a nice atmosphere, but the food lacks quality. Too many dishes seem built around frying, breading, and heavy preparation, as if trying to hide mediocre ingredients rather than showcase good ones. Nothing stood out, and most of the meal was forgettable. Better for drinks than dinner.

02/06/2026: Unfortunately, despite its reputation, I didn't have a great experience. The location and service were actually good, but I was really disappointed with the food. The appetizer wasn't anything special, but the meat... it was a real shame. We asked for it to be rare, and what arrived was basically a well-done rib eye. A real shame, I don't think I'll be back.

14/06/2026: During a visit to beautiful Campagnano, we looked for a nice place to eat and read excellent reviews of Iotto, from the Roman saying "Iotto, rascal and scamp," which is traditionally used to describe a shrewd, cunning, yet good-natured and slightly light-hearted person. We crossed the main street and parked in the central square where the town hall is located. The place is small but clean and welcoming, clearly family-run and a self-proclaimed Slow Food advocate. Considering the heat and the age of my elderly parents, we didn't overdo it, but it was enough to appreciate the quality of the excellent ingredients and the fine preparation of the food. We ordered an appetizer of mixed fried food for two (but very pleasant for three to share), a first course of homemade pasta with chicken gizzards, eggplant rolls, and fried octopus with arugula and cherry tomato pesto. A glass of Cesanese by the glass and to finish, an excellent coffee, complete with a description of the variety used. If you pass by the area I recommend you try their cuisine!

19/04/2026: A lovely, welcoming little place, with super helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The food is truly good. The prices are fair—did I mention the food is delicious? The perfect place to take people skeptical about a meat-free diet. Definitely a must-see in Rome, in any case!

05/05/2026: For those of us with celiac disease, it's a dream. The pizza is spectacular. You'd never guess it's gluten-free. They have two kitchens (one regular and one exclusively for gluten-free). As for the service, they were very friendly and helpful.

16/06/2026: This restaurant was recommended to us by a receptionist (Fabio) at the nearby Hotel Medici. It turned out to be a wonderful discovery: the food was truly delicious and reasonably priced, unlike the often-distanced, more centrally located restaurants in Rome where you pay a fortune for very, very poor food. Furthermore, the entire staff was professional and courteous, making our stay in Rome a pleasant one. For all of this, this place is highly recommended!

29/04/2026: The food was tasty, but it wasn't clear what I had eaten. I had ordered lamb, but that wasn't it. It did taste good though. Everything that was finished was immediately cleared from the table, a bit too quickly in my opinion. I was still chewing on the last bite. Not everyone understood the English language.
