03/11/2025: Always fantastic food here, with excellent atmosphere, food, and service (the only downside is the tripe, which was good but lacked a little flavor, perhaps, but that's a personal preference). The wine list is also excellent and extensive. It's hard to choose between the excellent menu and the always wide selection of off-menu items! See you soon.
23/10/2025: The food was pretty good, the place was nice. The owner was a nuisance, and made you regret going there. I definitely won't be returning.

04/10/2025: Wonderful experience. Excellent food and wines, including by the glass. Great welcome from co-owner. Excellent service. On a short visit to Parma, we went for lunch -we enjoyed it so much that we went back the next day. Gets busy, so advisable to book in adance.

12/10/2025: This place has amazing food and great service. I recommend the 'tris de tortelli' dish to taste all 3 types of tortelli that they serve. I also tried Vecchia (cooked horse mest), and loved it. They can definitely improve their Tiramisu, so won't recommend it. Try some other dessert may be. Overall, a great place to unwind and have amazing food in the heart of Parma.
12/10/2025: Overall, I would return. Unlike other osterias, they welcomed us and immediately seated us without a reservation in a delightful and very charming cellar. The service was good, except for the waiter, who seemed a bit smug (perhaps looking 35 always makes you think you can't afford to pay or don't understand food). Other than that, the food was excellent: the appetizers and first courses were very well prepared and the portions were just right! It was a shame about the dessert: I had the crème brûlée and it was completely raw!

05/09/2025: We wanted to have dinner at a typical trattoria... searching online, this place came up. We tried excellent torta fritta and excellent cured meats... amazing tortelli... my daughter tried a very tender horse steak for the first time. The staff was kind and friendly, excellent value for money. We'll see you again soon!!

02/11/2025: I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and was extremely satisfied. The place is very charming, with original and well-designed decor. Food: everything was impeccable. We sampled various ravioli (potato, herb, chestnut, pumpkin...) each one better than the last, and for the main course, a super-flavorful stuffed veal. To finish, a delicious homemade cream gelato. It, too, was spectacular. Generous portions and the price was in line with what you get.
01/11/2025: A lovely, traditional place, with furnishings that I personally fell in love with. I'd say eclectic, but I'm no expert, and I don't want to say anything silly. The staff was incredibly kind, accommodating our time constraints (we stopped by on our way from Rome to attend an event at the nearby castle). The cured meats, torta fritta, and gnocco fritto were exceptional. I personally loved the chestnut ravioli: I loved it so much I could have eaten eight more plates. Highly recommended!

07/09/2025: Typical Italian restaurant. 💕 Since we don't speak Italian and no one here spoke German, English, or French, and there was no menu but a set menu where you could choose from alternatives for each course, we communicated more with gestures. And we were very satisfied with what we got. After three of the four courses, we were full and didn't have to pay for the fourth course, which was very kind. We felt very comfortable – thank you for the hospitality and the good food.

09/10/2025: I've been coming to Norcino for three years when I pass through Parma for work. The place feels very homey, with a lovely stove at the entrance that warms you up on winter evenings. The decor is rustic, but as you'd expect from an osteria. Indulge in generous (or very generous) portions of culatello with a good bottle of Lambrusco, and then finish with cappellacci or some other cuts of meat. I think I've tried every dish on the menu several times, and there's nothing more to say than to simply try it!

13/10/2025: We had high expectations—and truth be told, they were actually fulfilled: the place is well-kept, the dishes are well-presented, the atmosphere is trendy. However, something isn't right. That very evening, after dinner, I (and others) had some pretty noticeable intestinal discomfort, which lasted for days. I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but it's not the first time I've heard similar episodes from those who've been there. It's a shame, because the perceived quality of the dishes doesn't justify certain… surprisingly short digestion times. The place remains "cool," frequented by those who like to show off—designer waiters, glossy clientele.

19/09/2025: A 5-star experience, as always. Trattoria del Grillo is a must for lovers of Parma cuisine. Torta fritta, cured meats, tortelli, and top-notch desserts at a fair price.
18/09/2025: The best torta fritta in Parma, always a guarantee. The pasta and meat are also delicious and top-quality, with a nice wine list. Be careful if you park in the golf course parking lot, because they smashed my car windows. Don't leave bags in the car.

04/10/2025: The food didn't live up to the price: the meat was decent, the pasta tasteless. The service was lacking, with hurried and poorly trained waiters. The atmosphere was unwelcoming; you felt like you were being scrutinized from head to toe as soon as you entered. The meat, the signature dish, wasn't weighed at the table or explained in detail. We paid €8 per 100g for 1.2 kg of tomahawk steak, but the weight seemed less. Disappointing value for money.
