It's a shame, the maximum is 5 stars... I would have given more!! You can ask to eat in the lower part of the restaurant... the atmosphere is romantic, accompanied by music like Battisti and Celentano, very intimate. There's a small well where you can throw away your bottle cap and make a wish. There's a painting that tells the legend, I've attached a photo! Delicious food and fantastic service; the person who served us was friendly and personable. When I return to Parma, I'll definitely eat here again!

Back at Gallo d'Oro after 8 years...what can I say? It's a guarantee! Excellent traditional food (tortelli, torta fritta, cured meats), friendly, pleasant, and punctual service. The place is historic, with a rustic touch. The price is commensurate with the quality. Always highly recommended!

A restaurant with delicious dishes

Couples' dinner at Gallo d'Oro in Parma. We arrived quite early, around 7:30 PM. We'd requested a table inside, where only one other couple was present at the time, while the outdoor area was significantly busier. We were greeted by a kind young lady and seated in a pleasant, very clean, and well-kept environment. Water was served quickly, and we placed our order shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, the service didn't live up to the rest of the experience. From the beginning, the waitress seemed aloof and unsympathetic, sometimes giving the impression of being annoyed. Furthermore, shortly after taking our order, she had to ask again for the requested amount of wine by the glass and subsequently made a mistake in the order. Aside from these issues, which somewhat detracted from the evening's atmosphere, the food was truly excellent: quality ingredients, well-executed dishes, and meticulously cooked. A very positive gastronomic experience that deserves more attentive and engaging service.
