15/05/2025: Trattoria with a capital T. As a Modenese I know few places with this quality/price in the province.

10/05/2025: We went to this restaurant on the advice of Mrs. Sandra from Acetaia San Matteo and she couldn't have given us better advice! The restaurant is simply wonderful, with walls covered in wood, family photos, red and white checked tablecloths, a sincere place with truly delicious home-made cuisine! It is mainly frequented by locals despite being in the countryside. The owner is Mr. Cristiano who together with his daughter Giorgia and other girls take care of the room, in the kitchen there are the grandmother and another daughter of the owner. As soon as we arrived they welcomed us bringing a small plate with some excellent salami and bread, we had some very good tagliatelle with meat sauce and to say very good I assure you is an understatement, we then had the cotechino which was also delicious and finally a very good tiramisu. Highly recommended place but I advise you to book because it was very full. Thank you very much for the kindness, friendliness and professionalism with which you do your job

20/05/2025: A special place, the food is good, they have the strange thing of having pre-made menus that everyone has to choose from, the prices are good, the service not so much, but in the end you eat a lot and well, the only thing if you are vegetarian avoid it, our friend who paid the same as us was practically not brought any food, he was rightly angry, but like a gentleman he paid and that's it.

19/05/2025: We went on Sunday, so lots of people and difficulty parking. The atmosphere is nice, clean bathrooms and good service. The food could be improved, the mushroom tartine was very salty, just like a can, and so were the mushrooms in the first course. There is no small green space where you can stay with the children, too bad.

18/05/2025: We stopped by chance while passing through.. qualified staff, they describe the dishes served with care, recommending the pairing, well-balanced dishes

16/05/2025: Trattoria mandatory to try if you pass by Modena. The tortellini were really exquisite, as was the broth and the very tasty ragù. The staff is very kind and helpful. Fast service. The place is small, if there are many people it is a bit cramped, but it is warm and welcoming. The authentic atmosphere made us feel at home.

11/05/2025: Cibo buono, tipico modenese, ottimo per far provare le specialità agli ospiti stranieri, ma i tavoli sono troppo bassi, non ci si sta con le gambe sotto al tavolo, davvero scomodo, e io sono 1.70m. gli ospiti stranieri alti quasi 2m proprio soffrivano, peccato perché la cucina è buonissima

09/05/2025: La Vecchia Pirri is a must try in Modena, a trattoria serving typical Emilian cuisine, with a welcoming and traditional atmosphere. I've gone there several times in the last 6/7 years, and I'm never disappointed. The food is really high quality, and the price is very honest. I've brought several people with me over the years, and they always leave satisfied.

01/06/2025: Bon restaurant typique italien. Large choix de pâtes et autres. Prix abordables beaucoup de monde n hésitez pas à réserver à l avance. Petit bémol grande salle assez bruyante.

01/06/2025: La trottola si presenta bene con qualche difficoltà all inizio per le portate che fanno fatica ad arrivare ma poi si sono rifatti con varrie delizie di antipasti modenesi e soprattutto una pasta con la zucca fenomenale

22/05/2025: Our 1st course, both are good, nice presentation for my Risotto but quite an average, the 2nd course which we shared is just bland with only flavour from Balsamic Vinegar. The Chocolate Salami is to die for, so delicious!!! We also feel that it is a bit over price like many customers mentioned here. Service is very good.

26/05/2025: Mittagessen in einem gepflegten Ambiente. Hatte als Hauptspeise Kalb mit Steinpilzen und grünem Spargel (18 €), was sehr gut war. Dazu gegrilltes Gemüse (5 €), das leider den Grill etwas zu lange gesehen hatte (teilweise schwarz). Dazu hatte ich einen guten Trebbiano (0,25 l) für 6 €.

14/04/2025: Because of the good reviews, we ended up in the pizzeria, which looked very inconspicuous from the outside, and had a wonderful evening with a really delicious pizza! Nonna stands at the pizza oven and bakes the outstanding pizza! We'd love to come back. :-)

30/05/2025: Good food. Very very tender. I'm usually not a big fan of beef but this was delicious. Someone else got the spaghetti with vongole and clams and she found is picante but good. So glad we found this spot. Really recommend.

18/05/2025: Honest pizza and nothing more. We didn't try the rest of the menu, which is very complete, leaving it for a future occasion.
