The food is really good and generous portions, what we couldn't eat they gave us in a tray; we enjoyed!! Home cooking and friendly, helpful staff...the wait was a little long for the first course but then everything went smoothly; on the other hand it was Easter Monday and the place was full, so it fits! Location a little dated, but clean. We will certainly go back to taste what we just couldn't eat because the menu was varied. Note: the bacon is excellent!!

Going to eat at La Rana is always something done well, it's that place where you always feel like you're at home and where you find the dishes you always want to have on the table at home! It is essential to find someone who is not on a diet to go with, as it is a perfect place to hang out.

My friends and I finally managed to go to dinner at this place. We had heard so much about it and now I understand why... Entering the restaurant it was like taking a dive into the 80s... simple, almost "spartan" environment but this is just an observation and not a problem. The menu was listed to us verbally, perhaps by the owner (I'm not sure), definitely a nice guy! We get to the food, we had tortelloni with butter and sage and with meat sauce - tagliatelle with meat sauce - gnocchi with gorgonzola (or 4 cheeses I don't remember) and lasagna, nice generous portions... ALL VERY GOOD, truly mouth-watering. In the end we were full but we still took 2 fried rolls (we absolutely wanted to try them)... what can I say, AMAZING!!!! Now we come to the desserts....mascarpone with chocolate flakes, tiramisu, trifle and DOLCE MATTONE (I think the best I've ever eaten)....instead, according to my friend, perhaps the trifle is the least exciting. Wine, water, coffee and a super honest bill considering the quality of the food. We will definitely be back to try the second courses and side dishes. SUPER SATISFIED!!!!

Excellent Emilian cuisine. Abundant and tasty dishes. If you love places with dishes served with eyelash tweezers... avoid.

I decided to have lunch at this trattoria just outside Modena. Even though it was a Tuesday, the place was very crowded and had a nice convivial atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. The menu is explained verbally and changes daily. I wanted to try the tagliatelle with meat sauce, delicious, all the ingredients perfectly balanced. Followed by cabbage rolls with a side of baked potatoes, excellent! Generous portions. I also ordered a quarter of the house Lambrusco. I spent €20, I would say exceptional value for money. Advised!

Excellent trattoria, where eating is truly a pleasure!!! Each course is nothing short of sublime!!! There were 12 of us, including 3 children, who also enjoyed all the dishes!! The gorgonzola gnocchi are superb!!! Congratulations!!!

Very good spartan environment. Non-paper menu spoken verbally. But the quality of the food is unquestionable. First courses, tagliatelle with ragù, truly excellent, tortelloni with butter and sage with butter like it used to be good. The second courses were good baked bacon and a classic cotechino with beans which was also very good.... Unfortunately we didn't taste the desserts... We were already too full!!!! Very honest price.

I really enjoyed remembering a flavor from my childhood when my mother brought brain meatballs to the table. It's not always on the menu, better to ask when you book. Generous portions even in the first courses with special tagliatelle

Siamo stati a pranzo durante la settimana. Premessa obbligatoria: la trattoria è molto molto ruspante. Servizio efficiente, ma senza fronzoli. Cibo molto buono e dai sapori genuini. Abbiamo preso un piatto di tortelli ricotta e spinaci al burro e salvia e un’amatriciana. A seguire involtini fritti (meravigliosi!) un baccalà in umido e come contorni una cicoria ripassata in padella e una peperonata. Un tiramisù, acqua, mezzo litro di lambrusco è un caffè. Totale 50 euro. Credo che torneremo per provare le loro lasagne che vengono preparate però solo nel week end.

Locale molto alla buona che propone un’ottima cucina casalinga con pasta fresca fatta in casa di ottima qualità e buoni secondi piatti. Porzioni abbondanti e prezzi ottimi. Se sei nei paraggi merita sicuramente una sosta
