We had lunch with exceptional passatelli in broth and two excellent main courses. The service was impeccable and very friendly. We'll be back again tomorrow to try their lasagna! I highly recommend it.

Second time in Modena and finally I found a table at Trattoria Ermes, the trattoria is small so I recommend you to make a reservation before you go , the food was delicious, we took 3 plates and all was very tasty,lasagna was my favourite plate

The food was good. Unfortunately, there was a bad sewer smell that was quite unpleasant. I must point out, however, that I've encountered the same problem in other ground-floor public places in Modena.

Wonderful experience in a true family Trattoria, where the gregarious and welcoming Alessandro knows each of his obviously local guests. I sat and watched the place fill up, every single seat occupied, happy customers and delicious food. One single page of menu, always a good sign of quality over quantity. I ate like a prince and the end price was more than fair. I am definitely returning.

03/05/2026: Everything was good and "plain," like a real trattoria, including the prices. On Saturdays, there's a long line to get in; reservations aren't allowed. I'm happy with the experience, but if I had to say I understood the reason for its success, I'd say no...
30/04/2026: Perhaps one of the most interesting places to eat in Modena, very authentic and quite unique, located on the first floor opposite the market. The food is excellent: the pasta is delicious, and the main courses are a good example of the local cuisine. The atmosphere is less touristy if you go when it first opens, but as the morning progresses, it gets very crowded and it's difficult to find a free table. The service is good, friendly, and attentive. I recommend it.
