The food was delicious, and the stay was pleasant. We had an appetizer, first course, second course, dessert, and coffee. Highly recommended; I'll definitely be back, especially to try the guinea fowl tortelloni with aromatic herbs.

15/03/2026: Welcoming place, but above all, we had a wonderful lunch, with excellent quality and courtesy. Traditional dishes include sublime cotechino, delicate cospeton (herring), perfect riso alla pilota, and excellent pumpkin tortelli. Prices are in line with the quality and quantity. If you visit the Santuario delle Grazie, which is truly worth it, stop at the Locanda for a Mantuan culinary pit stop.

The fried gnocchi are exquisite...the stracotto and pumpkin-filled tortelli in three variations are also highly recommended...exceptional. We concluded the dinner with a selection of cheeses and mustards, all accompanied by a wonderful Giuseppe (the manager)...everyone's cousin (when you pay)....good expireance.

09/03/2026: First time at this restaurant. Very well-maintained location, beautiful garden (we hope to return in the summer). Quiet and well-decorated atmosphere. Helpful and always present staff. Generous dishes, excellent flavors, and a fair price. We really enjoyed the fried gnocco for appetizer, the pumpkin tortelli with sausage, and the amazing tiramisu for dessert. Highly recommended! We'll be back. ++++

20/01/2026: It was one of the cornerstones of the restaurant industry. One of my favorite restaurants. Intrigued by the new management, it was a disappointment, unfortunately a huge one. Its identity and history were lost in the pursuit of a star. A real shame, going against current trends; so much was spent to dazzle the public, and its soul was lost. A restaurant like many others. The bathrooms are nice, there are fewer tables, and there's more space per person. They even have "water to get into the rankings"... but these days, people aren't looking for that anymore, but for substance. The wine list is also truly poor (with sometimes excessive markups). The cuisine lacks energy, despite using top-quality products and ingredients. The staff is at the same time perfect, impeccable. It's very unfortunate to have witnessed such a sad ending. I wouldn't recommend it, and I wouldn't return. Unfortunately.

01/04/2026: Last time we came to enjoy a business lunch for €15: a first course, a second course, water, wine, and coffee, all delicious 👍👍👍Two years ago we came for the à la carte lunches😋😋😋 The restaurant has two small but simply furnished rooms, with a few paintings that tell the history of Solferino, a mirror that makes the place look a little larger, and a 1930s-style clock. The excellent cuisine invites you to return: delicious wild boar tortelli with fondue, the sliced ​​beef - flavorful and melts in the mouth, the pâté on crostini is a pleasure to savour. The "house wine" is also good and cleanses your mouth, leaving a pleasant sensation of freshness. 😋 Usually, if I drink wine, I get bottled wine... but the "Speranza" one is truly excellent. 👍 I also recommend the desserts: delicious. 😋 At reasonable prices. 👍

20/02/2026: Ristorante all'Angelo in Villa Rovere is a gem of fine dining in a historic building surrounded by nature. Excellent Mantuan and truffle-based dishes are served in generous quantities and made with quality ingredients. The rooms, which retain their original wooden ceilings, are welcoming and clean. Finally, I'd like to highlight the friendliness, courtesy, and professionalism of the staff: their motto, "Come in as a customer and leave as a friend," perfectly sums up our experience here. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely choose our next dining destination. Congratulations!

11/03/2026: Good food, relatively simple—in keeping with the concept of an osteria, so it's fair enough—and also quite traditional. I personally can't say I had a bad meal, but my colleague wasn't as pleased. The wine selection was good, and the cured meats and cheeses also seemed interesting, but we didn't try them (we opted for two courses plus dessert, so we sampled several dishes). The service was courteous and pleasant. Given the location's historic character, we might have expected a more satisfying menu and a more aesthetically pleasing ambience, without losing the rustic feel of an osteria. The price was a bit high (but not by much, anyway) for what we ate and the ambience.
