We had a fantastic dinner here. Everything we ordered was authentic and delicious! I had the Salad Genovese, my husband the Lasagna Genovese and our son the steak. Unfortunately we were too hungry to take photos of our dishes and we devoured them all before thinking of taking photos. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They managed to find us a table even though we didnt have a reservation and they were super communicative even though they didnt speak English and we didnt speak Italian:) Overall a great trattoria!

We went last night for dinner and had the traditional first courses with pesto, anchovies with lemon, and octopus with potatoes, and I have to say it was all exceptional. Fair prices, a great owner, and good service. I loved the place. Highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I went for a meal. Excellent value for money and generous portions. The waiters were super fast, so we waited very little. The interior was very elegant, but it's a shame about the exterior. The walkways are a double-edged sword; some tables have nice views, others less so. Very quaint, highly recommended.

I'm not a fan of restaurants with streetside tables, but this one is absolutely worth it. We tried the pesto lasagna and the pansoti with walnut cream, both highly recommended. The portions were reasonable and the prices were lower than the Ligurian average. The house wine was excellent and easy on the wallet. For dessert, the warm apple pie with ice cream was perfect, even in this summer. The staff was kind, smiling, and professional, and they didn't flinch at any of our requests (kudos to Tahiel, who served us). I would gladly return.

13/06/2026: A charming place surrounded by greenery, excellent food and very friendly staff.
01/06/2026: To get there by car, the road is extremely narrow and winding, perhaps for this reason. The place is authentic and original. The fixed menu at €30 per person, including a bottle of wine of your choice, is excellent value: - High-quality cured meats, equally high-quality cheeses, frittata with local herbs, and fried focaccia (I don't remember the name, but it's delicious and unique) - Handmade gnocchi with pesto - Pansotti with borage and marjoram with red meat sauce - Grilled sausage and ham with baked potatoes - Panna cotta with rose jelly (incredibly fragrant and flavorful) - Apricot tart - Homemade limoncello - Coffee - Bottle of Dolcetto di Dogliani €30 per adult and €15 per child. If you're not afraid of curves and narrow roads, this little gem, just 15 minutes from Voltri, is a must-see!

08/08/2026: My partner and I had a delightful experience at Cavi Borgo. We were welcomed into an elegant yet unpretentious atmosphere, with friendly but not overly formal waiters. Excellent food, perfectly timed, reasonably priced, and generous portions. The owner, a sommelier, personally knows the wineries on the list and gave us excellent recommendations. The wine list offers a wide selection of Italian and international wines, including many natural wines (oddly enough!). For wine connoisseurs, there's an excellent cellar. Recommended for a romantic dinner or a group dinner, but less so for large groups with children. Overall, this is the best restaurant in the area so far.
