29/12/2025: To say it was exceptional would be an understatement. The food was excellent, the service impeccable... and finding tigelle this good in the plains is impossible. I'm not a meat fan, but given how they served it and the aroma it gave off, I'll order it next time.

02/01/2026: We stayed from December 27th to 29th. The hotel is outside Modena, convenient for getting around as it's close to the highway toll booth. The rooms are spacious and clean, with ample parking. Despite being on the ground floor, we found them warm and quiet. The downside was the breakfast and the restaurant. Breakfast was under-salted (a plate of cooked ham and several hard-boiled eggs), with no option to toast the bread (perhaps because it was already old and hard). The cakes tasted like a series of leftovers from the previous days. The toast tasted stale (and would also expire in the following days), and the espresso was forgettable. Lunch (we only had lunch on December 27th) also didn't impress us. The tortellini were nothing special (being in the "homeland" of tortellino, I would have expected more), as was the broth (it seemed to be made with stock cubes). Unfortunately, the old, hard bread was a constant (at both lunch and breakfast). A real shame, because we would have happily had dinner at the hotel, having been out and about all day.

30/12/2025: The rooms are just above average. A touch of new bedspreads and curtains would change the look. However, I must say the rooms are very warm, and the water is very hot. Another minor point is the size of the TV and its slightly inconvenient position.

04/01/2026: A refined restaurant with excellently executed traditional dishes, and an excellent wine list. What ruined the whole experience was the final episode: when paying (let me start by saying this was a table of nine), the waiter, without showing us the bill, told us that it was €70 per person for cash and €76 for debit cards (for a supposed discount since we didn't have a bill, so much so that I initially thought it was a joke). However, at the cash register, both rates were actually applied. When I complained about the somewhat "inelegant" nature of the situation, I was told that for them, "invoicing or not makes too much of a difference," and the friendly waiter even told me, "So next time you can bring cash." Honestly, this kind of attitude (for €6 and a table paying over €600) is unacceptable (and even illegal) in a restaurant like this.

28/12/2025: Very nice atmosphere. Average food. But the service was poor. There were seven of us; we asked for polenta, 1 gorgonzola, 1 prosciutto, and 1 crostoni. They delivered 1 polenta, 1 gorgonzola, 4 prosciuttos, and 4 crostoni. To avoid a mess, we kept them, but obviously no one was hungry afterward. At 1:30 PM, I politely asked if they could hold up my first course, which was gnocchi. They replied that it wasn't possible because they were already bringing it. Too bad they arrived at 2. The little girl with us is celiac, so she could only eat her tagliatelle with meat sauce. They were served at 2. The little girl sat at the table from 12:45 to 2:00 without being able to eat anything. It didn't take long to wolf down the tagliatelle with our appetizers. Too bad the location was very beautiful. The bill: a bit expensive. 1 starter and 1 first course per person, 2 bottles of wine at €28 each (to be shared by 7), no desserts, only 1 coffee and 3 liqueurs €54 per person

26/12/2025: Regardless of the type of cuisine, which you may or may not like, the behavior of the chef (who thinks he's a great chef) was embarrassing: rude, offensive, and intrusive. I'm not referring to the waiters, who were all very polite. I've never experienced anything like it. Cross above

29/12/2025: Rustic trattoria with good service and friendly staff. Fabulous first courses. When busy, it can be a bit noisy, but overall, the experience is positive.

18/12/2025: We ate good gnocco and tigelle, spending the right amount, then at a certain point the music starts and we can dance, maybe the volume is a little high.

13/06/2025: Ieri sera siamo stati benissimo, cena negli irti all'aperto, cibo eccellente e vini ancora meglio! Sink cliente da anni e ci ho portato amici cremonesi dai gusti raffinati... e sink stati contentissimi. La Pireina una sicurezza!!!

06/06/2025: Quanto servito assolutamente all'altezza, servizio veloce e cordiale. Solo un appunto sullo stracotto, poco in quantità e la qualità ha lasciato a desiderare.

22/06/2025: Una delle innumerevoli volte che, passando in Emilia , pranziamo in questo ristorante. Non ci ha mai delusi. Cucina più che ottima. Personale gentilissimo. Locali molto curati e caratteristici. Ci torneremo sicuramente!
