04/01/2026: A refined restaurant with excellently executed traditional dishes, and an excellent wine list. What ruined the whole experience was the final episode: when paying (let me start by saying this was a table of nine), the waiter, without showing us the bill, told us that it was €70 per person for cash and €76 for debit cards (for a supposed discount since we didn't have a bill, so much so that I initially thought it was a joke). However, at the cash register, both rates were actually applied. When I complained about the somewhat "inelegant" nature of the situation, I was told that for them, "invoicing or not makes too much of a difference," and the friendly waiter even told me, "So next time you can bring cash." Honestly, this kind of attitude (for €6 and a table paying over €600) is unacceptable (and even illegal) in a restaurant like this.

31/01/2026: What can I say...a wonderful discovery!!! I went there by chance today with my partner and son.... traditional menu, and all the dishes were a success.... quality, flavors, and quantity were all perfect.... it's probably the best traditional restaurant I've ever been to. The tortelli verdi deserve an award.... the gnocco fritto were a spectacle, the food was so good!!!! Wide and refined wine selection.... very fair prices, and considering the ingredients, a great deal!!!! The host was attentive and kind! We'll definitely be back!!!! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

28/12/2025: Excellent quality of the dishes offered and impeccable service

02/01/2026: We stayed from December 27th to 29th. The hotel is outside Modena, convenient for getting around as it's close to the highway toll booth. The rooms are spacious and clean, with ample parking. Despite being on the ground floor, we found them warm and quiet. The downside was the breakfast and the restaurant. Breakfast was under-salted (a plate of cooked ham and several hard-boiled eggs), with no option to toast the bread (perhaps because it was already old and hard). The cakes tasted like a series of leftovers from the previous days. The toast tasted stale (and would also expire in the following days), and the espresso was forgettable. Lunch (we only had lunch on December 27th) also didn't impress us. The tortellini were nothing special (being in the "homeland" of tortellino, I would have expected more), as was the broth (it seemed to be made with stock cubes). Unfortunately, the old, hard bread was a constant (at both lunch and breakfast). A real shame, because we would have happily had dinner at the hotel, having been out and about all day.

30/12/2025: The rooms are just above average. A touch of new bedspreads and curtains would change the look. However, I must say the rooms are very warm, and the water is very hot. Another minor point is the size of the TV and its slightly inconvenient position.

08/02/2026: I didn't stay overnight, but rather for dinner, and as always, the food was excellent and of high quality. The owner, who also takes care of the service, was very kind. When we book and find a place, it's always a pleasure to return. Highly recommended!!

16/02/2026: We spent the evening upstairs crammed together like sheep, in a stuffy, noisy atmosphere that, in my opinion, was beyond safety. The bathrooms were out of toilet paper, a detail that demonstrates a lack of customer service and a lack of attention to essential amenities. The food was also a huge disappointment, with flavors that didn't meet my expectations in the slightest. Overall, it wasn't good and justified the price paid.

15/02/2026: Saturday evening with friends. Excellent and plentiful first courses, excellent and plentiful second courses, beautiful and welcoming atmosphere, excellent waiters, prompt service. Musical duo Jenny and Robby were brilliant at entertaining the evening, with Jenny also singing divinely. What can I say? Well done, and we'll definitely be back.

13/06/2025: Ieri sera siamo stati benissimo, cena negli irti all'aperto, cibo eccellente e vini ancora meglio! Sink cliente da anni e ci ho portato amici cremonesi dai gusti raffinati... e sink stati contentissimi. La Pireina una sicurezza!!!

22/06/2025: Una delle innumerevoli volte che, passando in Emilia , pranziamo in questo ristorante. Non ci ha mai delusi. Cucina più che ottima. Personale gentilissimo. Locali molto curati e caratteristici. Ci torneremo sicuramente!
