11/01/2026: Overall, it's not bad. The starters are plentiful and the side dishes are good. The place is nice, but it seems overcrowded, which makes it feel overwhelming when it's full. Anyway, we'll gladly return!

01/12/2025: A classic, slightly vintage-inspired venue, yet elegant, welcoming, and pleasant. My lunch was limited to a few items, but I found them excellently executed, particularly the balanzoni with parmesan cream. The wine selection is limited, but understandably so, given the wine served by the glass, while the wine list is well-stocked and quite interesting. Attentive service, and friendly, courteous staff.

29/12/2025: A very chic venue nestled within the walls of the ancient abbey. Suitable for couples or small groups of up to four people, as it's not very large. Delicious, traditional Bolognese cuisine with a few delightful creative touches. For special evenings, but not only.

21/12/2025: We were just talking about our dinner at Trattoria Del Borgo which took place 6 months ago. We both remembered it as one of the best dining experiences of our lives and so we wanted to write a review to praise this beautiful place. The whole village is scenic and magical. Eating here was definitely the highlight of our stay in Monteveglio Alto! We had the tasting menu with wines recommended by the service. To speak about the service: they were absolutely amazing, super nice and friendly, made us feel like at home. And the food? Absolutely memorable, some traditional dishes made in an exceptional way. We were just saying that we hope we will come back one day and experience it again…:) thank you for a truly memorable experience Marian and Flora

15/01/2026: The appetizers with friggione were excellent. The first courses and desserts were superb. The turnip rice with prawns in a citrus and mint sauce definitely deserves a special mention. The Catalana was superb. Excellent value for money.

27/12/2025: Very nice and friendly service. Fortunate to walk in and wait 5 minutes for a table. Try to book as it was lunch time and it was full (we were later and someone hand just finished). An array dishes, with a very local feel (not touristy). A unassuming exterior, nice atmospheric interior, without being fussy.

26/12/2025: A real find and a true delight. Top-quality products at very good prices. The Cottoleta is spectacular. And the service is unbeatable; they're completely attentive to you.

15/01/2026: We had dinner at this delightful restaurant this evening. What can I say...the staff were incredibly friendly, the owners were lovely, and the food was delicious. We'll definitely be back.

14/11/2025: The best trattoria ever... and I've tried so many! The minestrone and roast beef are excellent, as are the many other options on the menu! There's something for everyone ;) The staff is on point, with a great team spirit. Open Monday through Friday. First course, second course, side dish, water, 1/4 wine, coffee: €14 Subtracting the first course or second course: €11. Compliments to the management! The best. See you next time!

30/12/2025: I'd never been to this place before, but I was impressed by the kindness, hospitality, cleanliness, and the spacious and tastefully decorated rooms. The dishes were excellent and refined, made with care and authenticity, from the handmade tortelli with nettles, the ravioli, the grilled meats, all homemade and served with kindness and skill. The price wasn't high either, considering we were in the hills of Bologna, surrounded by beautiful nature!
