Antica Trattoria Spiga In Bologna

I had a very pleasant evening with a group of three. The menu has the local specialties like the Ragu, which was delicious, as were the meat and fish dishes we tried. Smallish restaurant, lively at the evening, but got a table without a reservation on a weekday. Service was prompt and friendly, prices reasonable (15 € to 20 € per dish, 2026/5).

I had a great experience at this trattoria. The food was fresh, delicious, and well presented. The staff were very friendly and professional, and the atmosphere was warm and pleasant. The service was quick and well organised. Overall, I was very satisfied and would definitely recommend this place to others.

Good restaurant, we went there after a recommendation from the owner of our apartment and we were very satisfied.

Everything was good, the tagliatelle were special, the cutlet was out of this world, the staff were very friendly. Everything was truly perfect, highly recommended 😍

I would give 10 stars if I could, we found the restaurant by chance and luckily! I haven't eaten as well as I did here in a long time. Great ingredients, and beautiful interior, very cozy!

Intimate atmosphere. Interesting menu with truly delicious dishes. The owner is very kind. We'll be back.

Although there have been some changes, the kitchen remains very adept, the menu appropriately varied (mostly Bolognese, with some other dishes "creative"), and the wait staff very attentive. Given English language skills both good for tourists (and dangerous for us locals). (A minor thing: room is, in my opinion, too brightly lit with harsh bulbs and thus feels a bit antiseptic).

Excellent food. It's a shame about the acoustics of the place, which could be improved, especially when there are large tables.

What a find. Antica Trattoria Spiga is an absolute gem. From the moment I entered the warm welcome I received from Somayeh suggested that this was going to be an enjoyable evening's dining. The decor is traditional, stylish and comfortable which gives an intimate feeling to the place. I have not posted any photos of the food, I'll others to do that. Needless to say every dish was delicious. Rana, the chef, explained his sauces come with a few 'secret' personal touches which I can testify provided subtle flavours to my antipasto 'Wild Boar Carpaccio' followed by the primo 'Ricotta & Spinach Tortelloni' with sage/butter sauce. The wine went down extremely well too! I highly recommend Antic Trattoria Spiga for anyone wanting to experience the very best traditional Bolognaise cuisine.
