What a pleasant, welcome surprise this place is. It appears to be one of the many undifferentiated establishments that swarm the street and the neighborhood, but in reality it's a great place with good technique and perfect execution. Well done, truly well done.

This was recommended to us by our local host and we were not disappointed. We ate here on our first night after booking it as we passed. A reservation was needed as it seemed so popular. The local classics like the lasagna verdi. Tortellini and braised beef were all delicious. The chocolate Torta and mascarpone cream was incredible. Some of the best and most attentive service we had in Bologna.

In the area for work, I chose it from the outside because it looks just like a real trattoria. And it's even better inside. Beautiful place. Very friendly staff and very good food. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful evening at Trattoria La Montanara. The restaurant isn't very big, but it has a lovely atmosphere, and the service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Reservations are recommended.

We had lunch at this quaint Bolognese trattoria. The place is small but cozy, but the food needs updating: my wife ordered the green lasagna Bolognese, which would have lost points even if it had been sautéed four times; the fettuccine was decent. The desserts were so good I asked if they made them. Given the heavy competition in the area, it's a no-go.

06/06/2026: Found thanks to reviews on Maps, parking nearby. Excellent first courses, well-proportioned second courses, and perfectly cooked. Delicious desserts. Impeccable service. Highly recommended.
