We had a delicious meal at this restaurant with a somewhat authentic Italian atmosphere. It was located close to our hotel and we ate here on 3 of the 4 evenings. We ate delicious pizzas, pasta, and the most delicious tortelloni (large tortellini) filled with a cream filling and truffle. Finger-licking good. All this for a very reasonable price. The man at the cash register speaks with great pride about their homemade products; you can feel the passion for food.
The service is sometimes a bit curt, but perhaps that is typical of an Italian restaurant. I would really dare to recommend this restaurant to anyone; it is impossible not to enjoy your food here.

The best restaurant I’ve been to in Bologna - everything on the menu was 10/10 - fish, pasta, desserts. Highly recommended.

The “gustoso” was the best pizza I ever had in my life - this coming from an absolute pizza lover means a lot!!! I recommend to try out the special pizzas on the little silver card they hand you ;)

Delicious food and friendly, cheerful waiters. The menu is extensive, with something for everyone. The only downside is the unequal treatment of customers – observing the dining room, we couldn't figure out why some people received a welcome gift (we did, and thank you, it was great), others received a glass of limoncello with their bill, and some received nothing.

Trattoria Pizzeria La Mela is a classic spot in the historic center of Bologna, located on Via de’ Fusari, just a short walk from Piazza Maggiore. Prices are reasonable: pasta around 14–16 €, pizza 10–14 €, wine 4–6 €. Tried the tagliatelle al ragù — rich, authentic flavor and a good portion. Service is quick, simple, and friendly without being too formal. The place is often busy and a bit noisy, but it feels lively and local. A solid choice for traditional Bolognese food in the city center.
