20/09/2025: An appetizer consisting of a small plate of cured meats, which are, 2 slices of ham, two of salami, one of capocollo and a mozzarella 25 euros.?!?! A boiled meat in the appetizer that tasted horrible... 1 angel rib, 2 of pork and 2 heads of sausage with 2 Cokes and 2 glasses 130 €.

18/10/2025: I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. There's no parking, so you have to leave your car in a small dirt lot about 100 meters from the restaurant. The restaurant is nice, but with traditional local cuisine, it's a far cry from the norm. The potatoes and porcini mushrooms were just potatoes flavored with porcini mushrooms, and the soufflé with caciocavallo and caramelized onions was very sweet—in fact, it was a bit disgusting, and it was cold, to boot. The cured meats and cheese platter wasn't bad, though it was a shame they only had two types. But the sore point was the meat in sauce with the meatball! Everything was lukewarm, and the meat was crispy, not cooked at all. All of these comments were made to the waitress, who agreed with me, and the chef knew about it too! You can't just send a dish like that to the table. The prices were very high for what we ate: for two, five appetizers that we shared, no first course, no second course, no wine, just water—almost 70 euros! I'm sorry to write this review, but I hope it helps you improve.

27/08/2025: Piero has been running this place for years, putting passion and dedication into everything he does, and with every visit, something has changed and it just gets better. The wine selection is vast, as is the varied and innovative food selection. The atmosphere is superb, warm in the winter and pleasant in the summer. The best in the historic center. Highly recommended!!

10/08/2025: A very welcoming venue in Avellino's historic center, perfect for an evening with friends or as a couple. We went for a drink on a summer evening and found live music (guitar/bass and vocals, rock blues) that made the atmosphere even more magical. We'll definitely be back.

21/08/2025: The first courses were good, but the villa appetizer was disappointing: too basic for the price (ham, capocollo, pancetta, and a small omelette with a little ragù).

15/08/2025: I was there last Sunday, I liked the place and the food too, in fact I went back to confirm my opinion! I was there just today........and every cloud has a silver lining......everything was terrible.....we arrived at 2:00 PM and they served our appetizer at 3:20 PM, shall we move on to the main course? Trio of grilled steak and sliced Angus beef 🤣🤣🤣and here I laugh, it was served at 5:10 PM, but why did I make a mess.....the waitress justified herself by telling me I was late, that it was August 15th and that it was her first day of work! I let it go and asked for dessert and the 🍉 listed on the menu.....a tiramisu: two crunchy ladyfingers with cream and chocolate powder! The thing that most outraged me was the price of the fixed menu, €50 per person. It wasn't worth it... mostly, they offered me Angus (which wasn't Angus, but a nice piece of fat), they asked me how it was cooked, and in the end, on top of the €50 menu, I found myself with a €5 surcharge for medium-cooked food! 🤣🤣🤣! I'm not picky, nor do I care about money, but is that even possible? Justifying themselves and saying they had problems in the kitchen was out of place! Anyway, I left because the table next to mine hadn't even served the second course... it was only 5:30 PM! What can I say... never again on August 15th... and not only that!

Entering this bar is like opening the door to your own home: a genuine smile, a family atmosphere, and an atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. 22/09/2025: We went to La Scintilla on a Sunday in September. The place is charming, although its decor is certainly a bit dated, reflecting the family-run (I believe) ownership. The place was packed, a sure sign that the food is good. I ordered the first course pictured, which is supposedly one of the house's signature dishes: "Strangozzi alla Scintilla," fresh pasta with a sublime porcini mushroom and truffle sauce. Spectacular! We followed with a tagliata (arugula and parmesan), which, however, had the flaw of being just arugula and parmesan. Not even two cherry tomatoes added flavor and color, and the lack of balsamic vinegar was especially noticeable. The medium-rare meat was good but a bit too dry; frankly, coming to Serino and not eating a proper tagliata is a crime... aside from that "incident," all the other dishes at the table were to our liking. The service was a bit slow (we ordered at almost 2 PM, and started eating at 3 PM, but the place was packed; that's normal on a Sunday). We'll definitely be back to try other delicacies at this well-worth-it place.

17/09/2025: A beautiful location that certainly deserves more. The food, however, was unremarkable and unpraiseworthy. But above all, it was different from what we ordered. We had ordered the pappardelle allardiate with mushrooms. One was not pappardelle but maltagliati, and two were missing lard. As for the prices, I found the water price to be more than excessive. €3 for a carafe filled from the tap. The cover charge was €2.50, perhaps even excessive. All this was topped off by an argument between the waiters that almost left us hungry, as they started circling the room with our dishes, not knowing which table to take them to. In short, I don't think we'll be back.

10/07/2025: An excellent pizzeria/rotisserie offering takeout, with a few tables both inside and outside. Their pizza is excellent, with a soft, light crust and impeccable cooking. I wouldn't call it Neapolitan-style (thin and soft), but it's close. The ingredients are good quality, but so far I've only had the chance to try a Bufalina. They also offer a decent selection of fried foods, including classic chips, arancini, potato croquettes, and poached sausages. All in all, perfect for a quick dinner. From the menu, I noticed they also make kebabs and hamburgers, but I haven't had the chance to try them yet. We waited about 30 minutes for five pizzas, including several takeout orders. Not a record time, but still reasonable. Unfortunately, the atmosphere isn't the best; The interior is quite small, and the outside area features two narrow tables, exposed to the noise and smells of the busy street outside. Prices are reasonable, averaging 7-8 euros for pizza, 5-6 euros for sandwiches, 2-3 euros for fried foods, and 2 euros for drinks, so you can get a decent dinner for around 10 euros per person.

23/08/2025: Since it was my first time eating there, the pizza was good and the place was also excellent.

14/08/2025: Horrible pizza, overcooked, crusty dough, and the best version with practically no mozzarella, with a tiny morsel per slice, practically all sauce, even a sour taste. Extremely long wait and service that leaves much to be desired; they don't even know what happens to the orders...

28/07/2025: I've always found the ice cream here to be good compared to others, but the last two times I've had it, 3 out of 4 flavors were frozen and not creamy. I don't understand, inedible. 3 stars for the past, disappointing the last few times.

16/06/2025: Packaged brioche with a chemical taste, I didn't like it with ice cream €3.50. Pistachio ice cream with a flat taste tending to nothing and other flavors tasted could only be tasted at the beginning.. disappointed something must have changed for sure.. regular customer...

14/10/2025: Every time I go there, it's AT LEAST 30 minutes late, EVEN if you ordered hours in advance... the other time I was left waiting 2 hours late!!! The pizzas were also wrong. The pizza maker is never in a rush and never starts making them on time. He, on the other hand, waits until you arrive and then calmly starts making them after he's finished talking to his friends... You order today, you eat tomorrow.

14/10/2025: The service is nerve-wracking. After ordering over the phone at a specific time, it seems like they take the order and crumple it up to feed the wood-fired oven. Only when you show up at the time the pizza should be ready do they start preparing it. If you're lucky, they leave in 10 minutes... with a final delay of at least half an hour on normal days, and a full hour on weekends. Don't you dare order delivery unless you have two hours to spare to wait (and reflect). The delivery guy moves slowly: the delivery time is longer than training for the New York Marathon, but with much less final satisfaction. Oh, I forgot: not even a single apology for being late beyond an hour; in fact, they pretend nothing is happening. Profile created specifically for this review after multiple instances of almost unbearable misadventures.

05/08/2025: We went for lunch on Sunday. It was a very welcoming place, from the setting, to the attentive and courteous service of the "Calabrisuotto," to the delightful young woman who served the food with a smile. The good cuisine and quality food left a lasting impression. We'll definitely be back, as we're regulars in the area, and we'll recommend it to friends.

30/07/2025: The food is excellent. I recommend the first courses; I tried the spectacular lamb. My father used to take me there as a child, and now I'm bringing my niece. I recommend it to everyone and I'll be back as soon as I can.
