27/08/2025: Piero has been running this place for years, putting passion and dedication into everything he does, and with every visit, something has changed and it just gets better. The wine selection is vast, as is the varied and innovative food selection. The atmosphere is superb, warm in the winter and pleasant in the summer. The best in the historic center. Highly recommended!!

10/08/2025: A very welcoming venue in Avellino's historic center, perfect for an evening with friends or as a couple. We went for a drink on a summer evening and found live music (guitar/bass and vocals, rock blues) that made the atmosphere even more magical. We'll definitely be back.

14/08/2025: Horrible pizza, overcooked, crusty dough, and the best version with practically no mozzarella, with a tiny morsel per slice, practically all sauce, even a sour taste. Extremely long wait and service that leaves much to be desired; they don't even know what happens to the orders...

02/11/2025: We stumbled upon this trattoria because the place we'd chosen was packed. At first glance, we weren't expecting anything exceptional... a sparse place... a big screen blaring the game... a small town bar, in short, but we were hoping to at least eat authentic dishes... illusion!! Our appetizer was dry-cured ham and two (extra!) pieces of cheese (8 euros); after a twenty-minute wait, the first course arrived... pasta with ragù... as soon as the waiter put it on the table, an unmistakable burning smell hit our noses... we tried to taste it, but it was clear the ragù had stuck to the bottom of the pan... we pointed this out to the waiter... who responded by ignoring us for the next five minutes, even though he walked past us several times and it was clear we weren't even touching our plates. At that point, we asked for the bill and left... we were charged the full bill (the cost of the two inedible first courses was 20 euros!!). It's clear that certain people cannot be classified as belonging to the restaurant category... what a shame.

28/10/2025: Loved our lunch! They were super accommodating to our daughter’s preference and had excellent quality of ingredients. Inexpensive, especially the wine! Definitely well worth returning!

25/10/2025: I got a 6-euro box and to my surprise, inside were four bags of salad, two bunches of limp broccoli rabe, one half-rotten escarole, four limp eggplants, and a few rotten spots. Only 4. Small sausages with an expiration date tomorrow. The same goes for the two Gordonble ones. I agree that they're about to expire, but spoiled food can't be recycled, so you have to be careful about what you put in the boxes. A little more attention never hurts. Thanks. Inside

16/07/2025: The supermarket is located right in the city center, in a very convenient location, although parking can be a bit tricky. The shelves are well-stocked, full of fresh products, and clearly displayed. The staff is efficient, friendly, and helpful. The deli section is stocked with fresh, top-quality products. The cashiers are truly lovely, kind, and patient. Every employee is exceptionally friendly, takes care of the customer, and accommodates every request. If there's one flaw, it's that they don't accept meal vouchers.

07/12/2025: I wouldn't even put a sect I was very disappointed they had told me good things about this place but it was all nonsense super expensive and poor quality food moreover the staff who served me smelled of sweat and it was the Sunday where I ate worst since I can remember if this is the alternative I prefer to eat pre-cooked food at my house👎👎👎👎👎

17/01/2026: Definitely avoid. High prices for undercooked pizzas with nonexistent mozzarella. The place is frequented by uncivilized people and the owner is extremely rude.

24/11/2025: Food prepared without love, just to fill your stomach. For example, in the pappardelle with mushrooms we found pieces of undissolved stock cube..... The mushrooms were full of water..... the waiters stand near the tables while you eat and listen to what you say while watching you eat, truly inconvenient.

01/11/2025: Disappointing experience. We asked for a three-course appetizer in the center of the table, and three dishes arrived. Without even a minimum amount of preparation, it was very poor. The first courses were inedible: tagliatelle full of water, paccheri with sausage that smelled like frozen turkey sausage, it stank... we abstained from the second courses, thankfully. Not to mention the smell coming from the kitchen, typical of when you open a garbage can. Never again...

13/03/2026: Excellent pizza, very friendly staff. I usually go on Saturday or Sunday evenings for takeout, and during peak hours, you can expect a long wait, despite the pizza chef's commendable speed. But the wait is well worth it: the pizza is excellent and generously topped. I wouldn't change it.

03/02/2026: The pizza is really good, but they never give out a receipt. I've reported it to the Guardia di Finanza (Italian Financial Police). They'd better be careful, they might get a visit.

14/10/2025: Every time I go there, it's AT LEAST 30 minutes late, EVEN if you ordered hours in advance... the other time I was left waiting 2 hours late!!! The pizzas were also wrong. The pizza maker is never in a rush and never starts making them on time. He, on the other hand, waits until you arrive and then calmly starts making them after he's finished talking to his friends... You order today, you eat tomorrow.

14/10/2025: The service is nerve-wracking. After ordering over the phone at a specific time, it seems like they take the order and crumple it up to feed the wood-fired oven. Only when you show up at the time the pizza should be ready do they start preparing it. If you're lucky, they leave in 10 minutes... with a final delay of at least half an hour on normal days, and a full hour on weekends. Don't you dare order delivery unless you have two hours to spare to wait (and reflect). The delivery guy moves slowly: the delivery time is longer than training for the New York Marathon, but with much less final satisfaction. Oh, I forgot: not a single apology for delays beyond an hour; in fact, they pretend nothing is happening. Profile created specifically for this review after multiple instances of almost unbearable misadventures.

Of course, it's not just these, but if you look for "that" flavor, you'll find it unchanged every time. The display changes with the holidays, with the punctuality of the San Martino nougats, the reliability of the mostacciolo al naspro—it couldn't be Christmas without them—with the certainty of the unsurpassed and always fresh almond paste desserts. It's difficult to find the bombarda anywhere else, except at De Pascale, which offers it unchanged and fused with the same timeless aromas. The secret of this pastry shop that has defied trends and remains fully in the tradition and history of Avellino and its Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, lies in the choice to respect the time of memories, with an eye to innovation. A coffee at De Pascale is not just a coffee, but a moment of conviviality.
